You'll never know how strong you really are until you have no other choice but to be strong.

Never please other people

Do things that makes you happy... now!

Love unconditionally

Love yourself

List down your goals and thoughts, whether good or bad.  It will all make sense to you.

Balance your time with loved ones and take care of them

Be the friend you want to have.

Although you're comfortable with being by yourself, never let go of friends because eventually you'll want to be with them.

Insults can only work its magic when you let it.

Random acts of generosity and kindness go a long way. If you feel like giving someone something, a treat or a compliment, do it. Don't let the moment pass you by. I sometimes give people I regularly encounter - my gym coaches, cleaners, photocopiers, messengers, security, etc - small somethings to show that I appreciate their existence. I sometimes even share my food with absolute strangers. Or if wala, okay na yung kamustahin mo sila or tell them their shirt looks good on them or something. The world can be sad and scary, but we're all here,  parts of a grand design, each of us trying to get through every day in one piece.

Naalala ko lang kasi I saw this on FB:

In particular, whenever people interfere with our wishes or criticize us we should remember that we need these people in order to develop the spiritual realizations that are the true meaning of our human life. If everyone treated us with kindness and respect our self-cherishing feels we deserve, this would only reinforce our delusions and deplete our merit. Imagine what we would be like if we always got what we wanted! We would be just like a spoiled child who feels that the world revolves around him, and who is unpopular with everyone.

OMG super like! Thank you for this sis :)

As for me, my recent learning is about accepting change:

The current of the flowing river does not cease, and yet the water is not the same water as before. When the river flows, you cannot step on the same water twice. Go with the flow, ride the wave... but still be very careful of adversities. Riding the flow also requires a certain skill. It requires balance, foresight, and wisdom so that you can move forward and so that you are not swallowed by the whirlpool in the moving river...

on family:
be kind to your siblings. it is its own reward.

on relationships:
marriage is a cage. the sooner you realize this, the easier it gets.

hold your horses when it comes to sex. do not have sex with just anyone. wait for the right man to come along. aim for the complete package- good-looking, stylish, smart, funny, financially solvent. you won't have any regrets even if you don't end up together. at least, you slept with somebody who's totally worth it.

before getting hitched, know the person 360 degrees. you  can only do this if you've spent a considerable amount of time together. 18 months at the very least. (learned this lesson the hard way. long story but here's the gist: we were together for seven years before we got married. turned out he's a sociopath, psychopath and narcissist all rolled into one. everything unravels once you sign the dotted line.)

on health:
stay fit. it's easier to move, shop for clothes, go anywhere, do anything you feel like doing.

on money:
it's better to be miserable with money than without.
without money, you don't have a voice.
money is not everything but it sure buys comfort and security- two things everyone, regardless of status, aims for in life.

Gusto ko din ito. :)

From quora: "People are not against you, they are for themselves."

When people go, let them go. Sabi nga ng Dalai Lama, "Give the ones you love wings to fly, roots to come back and reasons to stay."

Be in the present, enjoy life. Sometimes we're taking life too seriously that we forget our souls are here for the experience.

Always believe in good things to come.

A bird perching on a tree is not afraid of the branch breaking.

Her trust does not lie on the branch, but on her wings.

Always believe in yourself.

There is no need for you to look at other people, men especially, as your branch.
