FICO finance and controlling
MM materials management
SD sales and distribution
PP production planning
PM plant maintenance
HR human resources
etc

module names are self explanatory, imo.

Graduate ako ng CompSci pero wala akong napractice na kahit anong programming language, wala ako tiyaga mag-isip. Dito ba sa SAP, wala ba yung applicable sa zero knowledge? anong module kaya ang pwede sa mga zero knowledge?

lahat yan applicable sa no SAP background kung mag training ka. when i started back in 1999, i didnt even know what SAP was.

alam ko na anong module yung gamit namen.. SAP CRM pala.. need ba sa ganitong module na sobrang technical ka sa programming like sa ABAP?

suggestion ko lang, if you are serious in sap career try to start in accenture. i have been with 3 companies and napansin ko iba talaga training in accenture. hard core mababa nga lang talaga sweldo sa accenture pero it pays off in the future. i mean, after two years (bond) lipat na lang kayo and you'll realize good decision ang accenture.

mga sis ask ko lang gaano katagal duration ng training ng SAP ABAP? pwede ba magtake 2 kung sakaling hindi ka pumasa sa exam?

But how to apply as SAP Consultant in Accenture? Most of my friends applied as "Associate Software Engineer" but was given different positions. One got lucky and is currently a SAP Consultant right now. So swertihan lang talaga?

I'm not sure why we have this type of questions.  Normally, we do research and based on what we read, we decide which is the best module for us.

Consultants' one key value must be being resourceful.

I am into FICO for years already so hindi ko alam kung ano madaling aralin ABAP or Basis coz I am neither the two at wala ako balak sila aralin unless kelangan for my testing.

Being techno-functional is a big advantage so kung matuto ka din ng ABAP, ok yan. But being functional is also goid. Kung CRM ang background mo, san ang interface nyan sa ECC, CS or SD? Going into eaither CS or SD will also be good option.

Hi Trew.  Apply as trainee / junior consultant to further enhance your business and technical skill as SAP B1 is almost the same as ERP.

^ if i may answer. my last implem was early 2000s pa so this may no longer be applicable but i will shar na din.

in the projects i was involved in, there is typically 1 consultant per module including basis and abap (add more developers as necessary) plus the project manager and a change management team. if it's a big project and the project manager cannot be there full time, there is also usually a project coordinator.

i have also been in a project where there are 2 consultants for some modules. usually, 1 junior shadowing a senior.

for FI/CO - in my projects, we had an FI consultant plus a CO consultant, not 1 for both FI/CO.

maybe for some of the "big" modules, you will need more than 1 or maybe you need a specialist if the skill is not too common. one typical case where you need 2 consultants for a module is PS because 1 usually handles the financial side and the other handles the logistics side.

but imo, a functional consultant should know his/her entire module. i am a PM/CS consultant. when I do PM, i do PM as a whole and not just some portions of it. for CS, i am also expected to understand even the SD part of it and a bit of interface with CRM.

for FI/CO and intergation with the other modules, each individual consultant is also expected to at least understand his/her module's intergation with FI/CO. again, in my case, i understand order settlement, cost centers, activity types, etc because these are part of my module that happen to be integrated with CO. Same goes for the part of my module that is integrated with MM or PP or QM.

SAP user here for 2 years. FICO module. Junior support in our company, I'm an accounting specialist pla. Testing ng programs yung tasks, configuration ng modules and support ng end users. Real estate yung industry namin so marami kaming SAP customized programs depende sa need ng company. Recommended tong system na to since meron siyang sariling control so less error talaga.

^FRE module!

Pag aralan mo mabuti ang FRE, konti pa lang ang may specialization nyan.  But if you are an FICO or MM consultant, ok din because these two modules are never out of an SAP implementation.  However, for some such as Funds management, FRE or PP, specialized modules sya which means depende sa industry ng company.  I'm not sure though if those specialized ones pay better than usual FICO, MM consultants. 

The thing about specialized modules is few job openings.  I am an FICO and Funds Management consultant but i never had any offers as FM consultant.  Buti i have FICO background to back me up

hi mga sis, am into SAP end-user, I am using R/3, Sales then I was already trained for SAP BW and SAP CRM.  Pano ako magiging consultant kung puro end user ang background ko?  TIA
