hi mga sis! im on oatmeal diet this month. true that you'll feel full after eating then ok ang digestion. for those na hindi trip ang bland taste, you might want to try the quaker bakery favorites. i don't know if meron sa pinas, kasi nasa uae ako. it has 10 packets, consist of 2 apple crisp, 4 cinnamon roll and 4 banana bread flavor. so far i'm enjoying it. i usually add 1 banana, un na meal ko :)

after giving birth and after I was diagnosed with gastritis last year, nawalan ako gana kumain dahil takot ako sumakit tiyan ko and puro oatmeal and arroz caldo lang kinain ko.

Just an update girls! I've been trying overnight oatmeals and I found I like them better when cold. Basically you prepare your oatmeal the night before and in the morning, the oats have soaked up the liquid and will be ready to eat.

Just want to share my recipe since it has kept me full until lunch. I get to eat less food at lunch because of this. Hehe! I love overnight oatmeal. It's so convenient and I can now eat breakfast on the go. I store mine in an 8oz mason jar, btw.

Recipe:
1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats (not instant nor steel cut. I prefer Bob's from Healthy Options)
1 tsp brown sugar or honey
1 tsp to 1 tbsp chia seeds (adjust this depending how thick you want your oatmeal because chia seeds soak up a lot of moisture. I like mine a little runny)
1 tbsp nuts of your choice (I like almond, cashew, hazelnut, and sometimes pistachio)
pinch of cinnamon (optional)
chopped chocolate (I prefer 65% cocoa, vegan, optional)
1/2 cup milk of your choice (I prefer chocolate hazelnut milk - it tastes like nutella, only healthier!)

In the morning when I'm ready to eat them, I just chop a banana and add it to the oatmeal. You can add mangoes, strawberries, or any fruit you like. You can also add protein powder, peanut butter or nutella to this. ;) The possibilities are endless. It's like eating a healthy dessert for breakfast.

I used to eat instant oatmeal but I found it inconvenient to go to the pantry for some hot water (I usually eat breakfast at my desk at work) and does not keep me full so I tend to crave more food and madali akong ma-umay pag instant oatmeal.

Since I can modify what goes into my overnight oatmeal, I don't get that feeling that I'm eating the same thing everyday. So now pagdating ko sa office, I just grab a spoon and eat right away. LOL.

Sorry for the long post. HTH!

I am on my day 3 of oatmeal diet. Breakfast and dinner ko ginagawa. Pag lunch ulam + veggies lang. May konting snacks din in between. I don't know if psychological pero parang mas magaan pakiramdam ko. Pero before I did this, almost 1 month na akong no rice, no pork.

Ako naman minsan hinahaluan ko ng spicy tuyo from tapa king yun niluluto kong oatmeal para may konting lasa, or minsan pure oatmeal lang tapos may konting ulam, parang kanin.

Might go back to this diet. Mas tipid vs red rice/quinoa diet.

On and off nanaman ako dito. Hirap na lalo na may alaga ako now na kid (yaya's off). I need to eat rice talaga to hinder my gutomness. Pero kanina medyo umarte nanaman ako and cooked rolled oats for myself aside sa niluto ko for my kid and hubby.

I just added water until maging mala-rice consistency niya or until matuyo

Then sinabayan ko ng ulam na tuyo. parang rice lang din ang peg. Hehe

Will do this din mamaya. I made already the cold one, yung nilalagay sa fridge. Placed it in a container with some milk, chia seeds and langka preserves - para matamistamis.
