^^oo nga eh..  mag ipon muna ako.. ang mahal din kasi ng nagastos ko sa braces before, tapos ngayon may TMJ ako, iba gastos sa treatment, iba din gastos for braces ulit.

surviving 4 days of phase 1. may mga singaw na ko, tapos di ako makakain masyado.. puro rice w/ soup lang ako o kaya ice cream o kaya milk tea.. minsan lugaw or mashed potato.. okay din lasagna.. basta anything na pwedeng diretsong swallow na. hehe nahihirapan din akong magsalita. ginagaya na nga ako ng mga officemates ko pag nagsasalita. hahaha

Sana saglit na lang 'to kahit alam kong matagal tagal pa ang pagsasamahan namin nitong splint ko..

^2 phases lang din saken sis. 2nd phase is braces din.

nakakain na ko ng chicken at fish! pero walang nguya nguya.. swallow agad. hehe ang hirap kasi pag need mo magchew, mejo aangat yung splint tapos kung saan2x tumatama sa gums ko.. ang sakit. dun ako nagsisimulang magkasingaw.

@sis bebeloo i remember the days when I started my TMJ treatment with Doc Claudz. It'll be worth it, lalo na pag nafeel mo wala na yung symptoms.

Hello po! Just want to ask po if my condition is leading to TMJ or TMJ na. I have a friend kasi na may TMJ din and sabi nya, it's very likely that I have TMJ.. I have been suffering the clicking of my jaw and buzzing sa ears mga 6 months na po ata.. When I consulted my dentist about it, after a series of check ups and an xray, initially akala nila wisdom tooth pero hindi naman so they prescribed B-complex which I took for 1 week.. after that, nawala din po yung clicking and buzzing/ringing sa ear.. pero recently, bumalik nanaman then sumasakit din yung ilalim ng ear ko, samay jaw area po ata.. also, I have been experiencing frequent migraine attacks recently although understandable po kasi I really have migraine.. Pero po hindi pa ako nakaka-experience na mag-locked jaw, in fact, 4 fingers pa ang kasya sa mouth ko.. is it possible na TMJ po ito? Thanks po!
I'm from Bicol po pala and I'm not sure kung merong TMJ Specialist dito kasi yung dentist ko, hindi po ata although they also suspected na baka TMJ nga..

Thanks nicoletta! Pero wala yatang TMJ Specialist dito sa Naga.. The plan is when we go to Manila in May, I'll have it check then.. Kaso lang matagal pa yun.

Hi I have TMJD also, for panoramic x-ray pa lang and the therapy will start na. I hope this will help. I've been suffering from TMD though wala namang pain when I open my mouth, frequent migraine lang talaga and dahil matagal na, my face is not symetrical, tabingi na ilong ko or face dahil siguro sa bad bite and jaw position. I found an ortho sa pasig, pero hindi yata specialist sa TMJ. May kilala ba kayong TMJ specialist malapit sa Pasig? My ortho right now offered me 25K for the therapy, 10K dp tapos yung tira, hahatiin during the treatment. Kasama na dun yung splint and massage daw.

I hope people are still active in this forum. You see, when I was in third yr hs, I picked up this mannerism where I click/pop my jaw. This continued for months till one day my jaw locked. I was alone at that time and I was scared or more likely stupid so I decided to snap my jaw shut. It make a cracking sound and since then my jaw clicks and such. I'm now an incoming 2nd year in college and my jaw is really bothering me, especially since my right side of the jaw started making clicking sounds. So I decided to get it checked already. (It's been 3 or 4 years) I went to a dentist(also a tmj specialist) last friday. And they x rayed my jaw, took pics of my teeth and measured it. I came by yesterday and they told me that yes, I do have tmj but the dentist suggested for me to have BRACES already and from what I've read it's supposed to be phase II right?! Do we really need to go through phase I and II? And can anyone suggest another tmj specialist? Since the one I went to costs a lot and I read that sometimes braes can worsen your tmj.

malapit na ko matapos sa phase I ko, pero i am worried kasi kapag nagyyawn ako, napapagclick ko pa rin siya and hindi ko maiwasan talaga. meron bang ganito sa inyo? kapag normal akong nagoopen ng mouth, wala ng clicking. pero pag nagyyawn ako, nagcclick na sya. my dentist said na maging mindful na lang daw ako sa pagyyawn ko.. pero gusto ko sana mawala na rin yun bago man lang ako magphase II. any advice?

Good luck to you!  It will all be worth it.  Did your dentist not suggest botox to reduce the pain and clicking sa masseter?

hindi ko pa nasasabi sa kanya sis yung nangyari saken for this month. sa mid june pa ang appointment ko. hindi ko pa naddiscover kng paano humikab ng tama at masarap, yung hindi pigil. huhu

Hi Dra. Claudz, can you please pm me your clinic address in QC, i'm from loyola heights area but currently in Saudi Arabia and diagnose with TMJ. I cannot find any TMJ Specialist here...but the problem is how can i continue my treatment if i'm staying for a month only for vacation, please advise me to ease this agony of pain  .

What should I expect po sa phase 2 ng tmj treatment? Tinataas po ba ang bite? Plain braces lang po ba without the splint? Shouldn't there be a pasta na mataas sa molars to imitate the splint?
After phase 1 I was doing great. I was tmjd free.
I'm on phase 2 but I'm not sure if maruno ng and doctor ko. 2 weeks after my braces got installed my jaw started clicking again. She installed plain braces. Headaches. Shoulder aches . Tmj nightmare again.

Please help.

ang husband ko may TMJ din...last Aug. 26 nagpa tmj tomography xray sya sa lapid dental center sa sm
north the block, 800 php ang price. after nun pinasa namin sa dentist nya yung result and he was advised na magpa splint dahil severe na raw ang tmj nya.. late 90's he wore braces kasi lower bite sya ang siste nung ma correct di sya inadvised ng dati nyang dentist na need pa palang mag retainers so yn ang nag cause ng lock jaw sa kanya...nakapag pasukat na sya ng splint last saturday at next saturday babalik
kami at isusuot na nya ang splint..his dentist is so mabait saka di ganun kamahal ang price di gaya ng nabasa ko nung nag backread ako...he was advised to drink b complex..sana lang magingnok ang treatment nya kasi matagal na nyang iniinda yung clicking sound sa jaw meron na rin syang ringing sa ear saka dizzyness...

Me I'm done na with my braces retainers na ako sis after 2 years!Magastos pero worth it naman.

Andee_gurl, did you experience any pain on the 2nd phase of the treatment? Did you wear your splint during phase 2? Kasi for me regular braces lang nilagay. Tapos I can't open my jaws without pain. About 3 weeks ng braces pa lang to. I just want to know if this is normal. I was done with phase 1 and ok na eh. Ngayon ang sakit na naman.
