the pain na nararamdaman mo like the clicking sound is one of the symptoms that you have a TMJ dysfunction, but, it doesnt mean dapat masaktan ka.  If pabayaan mo yan.. padagdag ng padagdag ang symptoms or pa grabe ng pagrabe.   Early symptoms of TMJ dysfunction yang nararamdaman mo sis.

Btw, from reading this thread, I also noticed that my left jaw clicks when I open my mouth very wide but no pain.  I am now paranoid.. papunta ba to sa TMJ dysfunction??

OHH!!! i met your dad a few times. And he keeps on telling me his worst experience about having TMJ and seeing so many dentist.

Im so glad that he is well and very functional till this day.

And for you, have an panoramic, cephalometric and tmj transcranial xray  and have an appointment with dra. lolita fandialan, since sya ang Tmj dentist ng dad mo, kabisado na nya sya.

I'll try to find your dad's story and post it here, since nasa book na yung story nya, para we could share, ano yung WORST thing could happened sa may tmj dysfunction.

I had this before, all the symptoms like the jaw clicking, pain and lock jaw. Medyo traumatic nga eh kasi I used to wake up with my jaw all locked up. Had to massage it for like 15 minutes with kasamang prayers pa hehe... It went away after my dentist recommended  mechanically treating it with braces.

I have this too .  Whenever I open and close my mouth somehow the joints on my Jaw moves in a weird fashion. 

I never experienced my Jaws Locking but still when I had my braces done my dentist said I have TMJ.  Sabi nya di daw 100% na ccure.  I'm finished with my braces na I'm currently using T4A mouthpiece pero same pa din nag mmove pading yung joints ng Jaw ko and nag cclick sya whenever I move my mouth.

Curious, I did some research and sabi since wala daw mga blood vessels around the area di daw narerepair yung damaged cartilages.      

I wish meron pa cure para di na weird yung Jaws ko pag nag oopen and close mouth ko.

Do you suffer from any of these?

• Headaches
• Jaw joint clicking or popping
• Facial Pain
• Neck pain or stiffness
• Jaw joint pain
• Worn, loose or sensitive teeth
• Limited ability to open and close your mouth
• Difficulty eating, chewing or swallowing
• Dizziness or vertigo
• Pain Wenever you talk or smile
• Earaches (or ear congestion)
• Poor posture

Other classical symptoms of TMJ are:

» Difficulty closing the teeth together
» Numbness in hands/fingertips
» Difficulty in swallowing
» Back pain
» Shoulder pain

If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms you could possibly have a problem with your jaw (TMJ).

yup. very possible sis! kasi yung condyle ng tmj natin katabi [textspeak!] halos ng ear. kaya kung meroon kang dysfunction, pwede sya tamaan sa pag atras ang jaw.

nag pa check ka na ba sa ENT about your  eardrum? SOMETIMES lalo na if hindi pa damage ang eardrum, na cu-cure yan with the proper theraphy.

yes, sis.. nagpacheck na ako sa ENT about my eardrum..
actually, wala silang nakita pero totally not functioning na yung right ear ko..
bec of tmj nga siguro ito..
i should see my ent doctor again..

^ thats nice to hear na NEGATIVE ang findings ng ENT sayo. so your next step have a TMJ treatment, look for a TMJ dentist near your area. habang bata ka pa, dahil i've encountered several patients sa tagal na damage ang hearing at they just ignore it.. yun lang ang hindi nagamot sa lahat ng symptoms na nararamdaman nila.

May thread na pala regarding TMJ Syndrome. Meron ako nito, I have mouth guards and splints in various sizes and I wear one when I sleep. Hirap ng may TMJ disorder, laging may migraine. Pero I don't suffer much anymore since over 5 years na since nag-start ako magsuot ng mouth appliances.

try dr. maloy santos, meron sya clinic in glorietta 3 and moa. im sure magaling yun, same kami ng kung saan nag preceptorship ng Tmj.

try to search for his name sa google, meron siyang website, para you could call first.

5 years??? OMG! the appliance or the splint max of 6 months [textspeak!]. or else mag ka intrusions na teeth mo. i suggest, have the 2nd stage of treatment na.

I went to dra claudz last saturday and she was very nice. :-) She was also very comprehensive in explaining my TMJ condition. This made me more confident in making the decision to have my treatment under her.

I'm from Paranaque but I travelled all the way to her clinic. Worth it naman. :-) Even sa text she accommodates my questions kahit feeling ko ang kulit ko na. hehe

So ika-career ko talaga yung treatment ko kahit malayo. tyagaan lang. :-)

Guys, I also have a question. Nagpa-xray kasi ako kanina ng teeth, 850 yun singil. normal ba yun or overpriced? tapos nakita meron tmj problem, but hindi pa yun grabeng stage, so may hope pa. Sabi kailangan Phase 1 is splinters and something (basta "therapy" daw, I forgot kung ano mga gagawin, splinters lang natandaan ko). tapos phase 2 is braces or crown.

yun phase 1, sabi sakin mga 54k, with discount na. Normal ba na ganun kamahal?
