Bottle and Food Warmer - a MUST BUY or not?

I can't help but smile reading this thread as I too contemplated buying one.  As a first-time mom, I try to think of ways to help my baby with his colic condition.  Naisip ko baka malamig ang bottle milk nya kaya may kabag but my husband said hindi pa fully developed and I read also in one of the threads that one of us trained her baby to drink cold milk.  So there, nakatipid ako.  pambili na lang ng bigger clothers for my tabaching-ching baby boy.

However, if there's money to spend, one may also consider used avent bottle warmers thru ebay (P1,600).

in our case, nasayang lang ang bottle and food warmer as in hindi nagamit.  Breastfed kasi si baby, hindi effective [textspeak!] bottle warmer kung frozen [textspeak!] milk, then BLW ang ginawa kong method ng pag iintroduce ng solid foods kay baby kya hindi rin kailangan ng bottle and food warmer.

i agree with other mommies here na not sulit ang bottle and food warmer. we have avent also. we bought it when my son was only 2 months but we only used it for a month then nakatambak na. sayang lang.

^i agree with other moms here. hindi talaga siya sulit. when i was breastfeeding, i just warm the bottle with warm water, kahit icy pa yung milk, ilang minutes lang, warm na talaga.

ano po price range nito?how much ang cheapest bottle warmer? nagpapagift kasi friend ko, sabi nya yung mura lang para in case di naman masyado magamit di masyado sayang. she's going back to work and is planning to store pumped BM for her baby. TIA

so at some point, you may need to warm the milk pa din. maybe up to you na lang if you want to use a bottle warmer to do that or use the conventional method of babad sa hot/warm water in a container.

in this case then, it's not really a must buy kasi may alternative naman. in some cases, it may be a good buy but it's not really a must buy. diba?

We got d looney toons food and bottle warmer as a gift. I think it costs around p700 around. I checked the price coz im contemplating to sell it. hehe

Yes kasi hindi naman kasya yung avent bottles ni baby. For the frozen or cold milk, i just dipped it on a jar with hot water. Kulob yung jar kaya ang bilis uminit, mag warm yung milk.

Pero nagagamit narin namin ang warmer para sa cubes na food ni baby. We still make blended food for her - like steamed veggies, sauteed meat like tuna then blend then make frozen cubes. Kung magsasaing, dun na tinutunaw ang cubes. Otherwise, sa warmer. So nasulit din for a simple and low price warmer. Kasi nakakatakot gamitin kasi malikot na ai baby, baka mahila nya ang cable wire sa lamesa!!! Matatapon ang warm water!!!! Kaya never leave baby unattended talaga.

Nope not needed. When i prepare formula for my baby i use 1/4 warm waterand 3/4 room temp water, always comes out as the perfect temp for drinking. Not warm but not room temp either. I've also used a large mug with hot waterto heat up formula if needed

sa amin naman, nagamit na  namin na sulit when my baby started eating. i work kasi so yung fruits and veggies, i prepare them and keep them in the freezer. tapos after thawing, dahil medyo malamig pa rin, the yaya warms the food before serving. okay naman because parang my baby never liked being served anything cold.

Yung akin kasama lang sa set na nabili ko. 5 months na ang baby ko, since he was born mga thrice ko pa lang nagamit. Ewan ko lang kung mas magiging madalas pag nagsosolids na si baby.

If you're breastfeeding and requires to store milk then you will need it. Pero kung formula naman e hindi mo din magagamit yan. It's just a waste of money.

Para sa akin, hindi din siya must-have item. Never pa nakatikim si baby ng warm bottle, kahit warm wipes. Mabuti naman din yun para di siya masanay. Room temp lang. Hindi ko pa nga nabuksan yung bottle warmer na galing sa baby shower, nasa box pa.

agree with kizme! pag breastmilk na galing sa ref, kailangan talaga may bottle warmer. alangan naman super lamig ipainom kay baby.

^you can actually give breastmilk to baby direct from the ref depending sa preference niya. some babies prefer cold milk lalo na kung mainit ang panahon.

i got a bottle warmer as an impulse buy right after i gave birth. sale kasi kaya mura ko nakuha. nagamit naman namin ng sulit because i discovered that my baby doesn't like cold stuff being served so my breastmilk was always warmed a bit using that. now, some of her food that i store in the fridge is also warmed there.

sis m_lim you can also keep a thermos of hot water and a container (any container that fits your bottle will do). You can always use the thermos again in the future

Kung di ko pa napansin thread na to di ko maalala may nabili pala akong avent bottle warmer.. I kept it akala ko kasi di pwedeng gamitin sa pag warm ng breastmilk, pwede pala.. Microwave lang talaga pala ang di pwede..
