Hi sisses! Were planning a HK trip and would like to include Shenzhen day tour on our itinerary. We want to check out Window of the World.

Maybe you can help me create a timeline for this day trip?

addt'l questions:

how to get to window of the world?
is it near the MTR?
what currency do they use?

You can use Hong kong dollars pero mas mabuti kung magpapalit ka na ng CNY. Shenzhen is in the Boarder of HK and china. Kung manggagaling ka ng HK sakay ka ng MTR papuntang LO Wu (dulo ng hk yon) click this link to see the mtr map http://www.mtr.com.hk/jplanner/flash_eng/index.php
yung sky blue line yung pataas makikita mo sa dulo yung LOwu don ka bababa. Pagdating mo don kuha ka sa counter ng chinese visa HKD 160 then daan ka sa immigration paglabas mo shenzhen na yon. Then sakay ka ng shenzhen metro (underground railway) Line 1 then baba ka sa Shijiezhichuang (Window of the World) station. Admission Fee CNY 120

^nakakakuha pa ba dun ng visa? kala ko hindi na

 yung mga kakilala namin ang sabi mahirap na daw kumuha ng chinese visa dun,yung sa amin kasi company ng husband ko ang nagaasikaso... matanong ko nga ulit, need ko kasi alamin, baka isama ko yung maid namin pagbalik ko dun, 2 entry lang ata ang pede makuha dito, e baka magstay kami dun ng 2-3 mons

^Sabi nila hindi daw nakakakuha dun ng Visa pag first time, pero pag may china visa ka na before puwede daw sa may hongkong airport meron ata dun, I'm not familiar ha.

Hi prettybarbie! would you know kung may nag-iissue ng 5-day VISA for Schenzen dito sa Pinas? kung meron, dito nalang sana kami magpa-process.. any chance na ma-deny kami ng VISA sa LoWu border?

^sis, do they issue all types of VISA? yung 5-day lang sana gusto namin applyan.. hindi pa yung china visa na talagang pede sa Beijing and Shanghai and most of China..

^Call nalang travel agency para sure, kasi yung friend ko chinese visa daw need niya to go to Shenzhen.  Sa Uni Orient ka pagawa, para hindi hassle =P

hehhe wala naman ata na dedeny don..... napakadali lang kumuha ng visa, bayad ka lang then tatatakan na passport mo.... im not sure kung nakakakuha jan, try mo sa agency sis di talaga ko sure.... Yung sa Lo Wu border sure ako makakakuha ka don

they don't issue na uli for philippine passport holder kahit HK resident. my colleague just tried last week, residente rin sila dito sa HK and they were rejected. nagbago na naman daw uli policy nila, so they were sent back to HK.

di rin makakauha dito sa HK unless may HKID. though meron mga agency na nagagawan ng paraan but it's too expensive. so better, kumuha na sa pinas. i guess 2k or less lang dun.

^oh now bad news naman.. at least nalaman ko na agad.. sana mabilis lang din dito like one-hour processing.. lol..

4 days alam ko ang processing, pero puwedeng mas mabilis, dagdag bayad nga lang.

Can someone please recommend a hotel in Shenzhen?  Around dongmen area sana =P

pinakamagandang na stayan namin don is yung landmark hotel....ok yung facilities, yung staff and yung room

  we went to hk last month and we tried to go to shenzhen on our first day. we thought makakakuha kami ng visa sa border pero they dont issue visa to pag pinoy they gave us address in HK bumalik daw kami at dun kumuha ng visa. so with all the trolleys and big bags we went back to hk at hinanap namin yung address, pag dating namin dun, we get number and and ask, fill up the application form, we waited mga one and a half hour. but when its our turn na.. binusisi pa yung passport namin para lang sabihin na we dont issue visa to a philippine passport holder.

  kakairita, sana sa paghingi pa lang namin ng application form sinabi na agad na hindi kami makakakuha ng visa. pinagantay pa kami sayang tuloy yung oras namin.
