Mar 28 - went to the DR. At 2cm lang was sent back home
Mar 29 - same thing. Sent back home. So we went malling hanggang kaya ko.

March 31
2am - I woke up due to severe contraction pains. After peeing, the contraction continued. Last time we went to the DR, I was advised to go back if contractions get more frequent (every 5 mins).

2:30 - After confirmed contractions every 5 mins, we went to SLMC QC.

2:45 - Arrived at the hospital DR and IE was at 6cm, thin, -1.

3:00 - Transferred to HRPU. Contractions became more painful and more frequent. I tried proper breathing but I couldn't help but cry because of the pain.

3:15 - Dr. Moran arrived. Ambilis nya ha. He saw me crying. I smiled when I saw him. I felt more relaxed to see his ever smiling and calm face. I said, "naiiyak nako doc". He said, "sabi ko sayo kapag hindi mo na matiis ang sakit yan na yun". Confirmed at 6cm thru IE.  More frequent severe contractions. Proper breathing helped a lot.

4am - Epidural was administered by Dr. Berdan  (Anes) at OR 1. They assisted me to lie on my left and do the fetal position. I requested kung pwede after the contractions pero d nawawala e. So they just helped me do the C postion. I didn't feel anything. I must say Dr. Berdan was good and was very caring too.

4:30 - At 7cm and Dr. Moran broke my water. Feeling much comfortable after epidural. Felt a little itchy which is a known side effect of epid. Dr. Berdan was there to monitor the effects of anesthesia.

5am - At 9cm, transferred to OR 2. My husband changed to scrub suits and joined me at OR 2. 2 residents started to coach me on how to properly push and when to start pushing. I was tensed already and breathing heavily. They kept on trying to calm me down. I could hear my heart pounding. I said Lord this is it and said a prayer. They were all relaxed which helped me to relax as well.

5:16 am - After about 5 pushes, Dr. Moran said, "ano i-happy bday na natin?" Then, baby boy was out and I heard him cry. And everybody clapped and said welcome! 😃 Did the Unang Yakap. Naglatch din sya. I don't remember doing that sa panganay ko kasi kelangan nila dalhin kaagad sa NICU bec of low APGAR - blue baby, not crying,
loud heart murmur, etc.  (our Ate is a fighter). So masaya ako na I was able to experience unang yakap kay Aki. One if the best feeling. Nakalimutan ko lahat ng sakit.

5:45 - Transferred to RR. I had elevated BP so they had to monitor. They brought Aki to the RR as well. I fed him then he fell asleep. I never heard him cry. All the babies inside the RR were crying. The pedia doctors wanted to hear him cry when it was his turn to be checked. He cried just a little bit then went back to sleep. Must have been tired from his grand arrival 😄 Even if I felt tired and sleepy, I forced myself not to doze off to keep an eye on him specially when the doctors took him to check his vital signs. I made sure nakikita ko sya. Baka mawala. Hehe.

9:45 - Ready to be transferred to our room but the Annex elevator was not working so they had to bring me back to the RR. They brought my breakfast to the RR so I can eat. Thank goodness because I was so hungry. Dr. Moran went to the RR and asked everyone why I was not transferred to my room yet. Right after he left, I was transferred na to my room and the elevator was fixed. The magic of Dr. Moran 😃

April 2 - Discharged.

Re proper breathing, i watched YT videos on tutorials. Very helpful talaga sya.

Just gave birth last June 8, 4:25 PM. NSD @ 34 weeks and 5 days.

June 6, Sat (location: Singapore) - Around 4:15 am, nag CR lang ako kala ko naiihi ako kasi basa na yung undies ko yun pala nagrupture na yung waterbag ko. I woke up my hubby and told him na punta kami emergency since may blood na din na kasama yung water ko. Pagdating sa hospital, diagnosis is PPROM (premature prerupture of membrane). Chineck yung cervix ko, closed pa naman. Yung water level ko is konti na lang. Baby's heartbeat was fine and she's doing great. May contractions pero super hina. Naginject na din sa kin ng pampadevelop ng lungs ni baby. We were so scared that time kasi hindi pa naman talaga ako dapat manganak. Around 12 pm, leaking pa din water bag ko pero pakonti konti na lang. Inadmit na din ako for observation. Around 6pm, another injection for baby's lungs. The doctors told me na they plan to induce me the following night.

June 7, Sun (location: Singapore) - wala nang leak yung waterbag. Cervix still closed. Baby is doing perfectly fine. I told the doctors that i will fly back to manila ng 5pm of the same day. Of course against sila but i insisted since pinas ko talaga gusto manganak plus super duper expensive sa SG. Doctors gave me the go signal to fly with special conditions. They gave me medication also para ok ako and si baby for the plane ride. Around 5 pm, take off na from Singapore. 8pm, dumating kami sa naia, then direcho na sa hospitaL. They checked my cervix and i was 1 cm dilated na. 10:30 pm, start na sila ng induction. Labor pains started after 30 mins. Still, baby is doing perfectly great.

June 8, Monday - walang tulog dahil sa labor pains. Ang bagal pa ng progress ng labor ko. Around 7:30 am, 3 cm pa lang. 1:30 pm, 4-5 cm pa lang. Naginject na din ng sedative to help me sleep pero di rin makatulog dahil sa contractions. 3pm, hindi oo na talaga kaya medyo nagpapanic na ko kasi sobrang sakit na. Around 4 pm nilipat na ko sa delivery room, almost 10 cm. unbearable yung pain lalo na for me wala nang water so triple talaga ang intensity. After mga 5 pushes, 4:25 pm, baby out na. I felt relieved. Sobrang nakakadrain ng energy but all worth it lalo na nung nakita ko si baby.

Share ko lang experience ko kay Lo. Edd ko is June 25 but since 2nd child OB told me to expect na mas maaga ako manganak. 1st week of June IE na ako and 1cm at naka ayos na si baby, actually nakapa na ni Dra yung ulo ni LO pero pina U/S nya pa ako to make sure.

Check up ko June 8, OB ask me kung gusto ko na mag pa induced since pwede na daw ako manganak at 38 weeks na ako by that time. Sabi ko June 16 na lang ako pa induced para lahat kami 16th ang birthday Ob told me na sige, tignan natin kung abutin ka pa ng 16 hehe. June 11 sumasakit na tyan ko pero sabi ko kay baby wag muna at may shift pa ako hehe

Come June 12 since work at home ako, and ang sked ko is 9pm-5am, after my shift which is June 13, natulog na ako at nagising ako ng 8am sumasakit na yung tyan ko..inorasan ko at patinde na ng patinde yung sakit. Si hubby nag lalaba sabi ko maligo na sya at mukang manganganak na ako. Hindi ko alam ang feeling ng nag la-labor kasi induced ako kay Kuya. So sabi ko kay hubby eto na ata

8:30am umalis na kami sa house and sobrang sakit na talaga na abot hanggang likod ng pwet ko, mawawala tapos ayan nanaman.

8:50am dumating kami sa ER ng CGH. Pag tanggal ko ng undie ko may blood na and sabi ng OB dun wag kabahan, IE nya ako and Hwala! 4cm na pala ako, maygulay talaga. Akyat na kami sa DR, and nilinis na ako and interview for information. Grabe ang sakit na talaga na naiire na ako sa sakit, from time to time they're using doppler to check baby's heartbeat. Naiiyak na ko sa sobrang sakit.

9:50am pumutok na panubigan ko at sakto dumating na si OB.

10:10am wala ng ire-ire, Baby's out

Nagulat na lang ako naka latch na si baby. Sorry napahaba ang kwento.

Gave birth via emergency CS last Jun/21 (scheduled CS dapat ng July 3). Here's my story..

June 20, check up namin with OB nung morning. Effaced na daw si baby. She requested BPS na rin. Around 4:30 pm, done na BPS. The sonologist told me to text my OB right away dahil ang amniotic fluid ko is nasa 2.95cm na lang. Cut-off daw nila is 5 cm. Pagdating sa bahay I texted my OB right away then tinawagan nya ko at sinabi na pumunta na kami ng DR right away. Based sa huling kain ko (2 pm) possible CS na daw kami ng 6 am the next day. Dumating kami sa CHMC around 8pm, they performed NST and IE. I was 2cm dilated na so sinabi ni OB na i-CS na daw ako ng 11pm! Nung pineprep na ko sa OR di ko na alam what time namalayan ko na lang baby out na ng 12:21 am. 😊

I stayed sa hospital ng 3 days while baby stayed in NICU for 6 days. They need to observe him dahil nga halos mawalan na ko ng amniotic fluid and may UTI pa ko. They gave him antibiotics and performed blood culture na rin.

Kakauwi lang ni baby kagabi so eto puyatan na. 😊

It’s been months before I got the time to recap my amazing birth story and I really don’t know what words I could use to describe how painful it was.

Eto na ang kwento ko.

EDD : May 01, 2015 – literally Labor day talaga!

April 27, 2015 – I started my maternity leave. During that time the house was empty except me and the baby malikot in my womb. I let my husband go out to for work as well as my sister, while my parent and brother visited my sister-in-law who’s also gave birth last April 25, 2015. I cleaned the house plus the ceiling, washed our clothes, fetched water from the deep-well and jogged/run around the house. After lunch, I found out that movie “Fault in our Stars” was showing in Star Movies Channel, since I have not yet seen this movie, while watching I spread my legs wide open for about 2 hours so the cervix will dilate or efface, achuchu according to the internet. The rest is history.

April 28, 2015 – 12AM. My water bag broke after I peed and I felt a gush of warm water running down my leg but no contractions yet. I didn’t panic actually I just told my husband about my “water breaking” and put my napkin on. We had a little conversation and started to imagine ourselves that finally we can hold our baby. I saw the excitement in both of our face. I didn’t inform my OB because I’ve been thinking that she cannot go with us either in the middle of the night. So we slept.

3AM – I peed again, but this time I felt the continuous flowing of water. But still there’s no pain. Sorry to say, we slept again so I could get enough energy I need to deliver our little bundle of joy.

5AM – 7:30 AM– We woke up and texted my OB. But I still have time to cook for our breakfast since Nanay and Tatay ay nasa Laguna pa. I took a bath, grabbed our already packed bag and went to the hospital.

7:30 AM- I arrived at the hospital with a huge smile in my face then I was admitted in the Emergency Room and had an IE (result is 2cm) by the resident gwapong gwapong doctor, hehe. Then I transferred to my room since I felt no contractions yet. I undergo also in skintest. It was the longest day of my life, promise! Eto yung mga salitang paulit-ulit kong naririnig, nagcocontract na po ba? Kukuhanan po namin kayo ng BP at heart beat si baby? So, iyon! May mga gamot na silang nilagay sa dextrose at hindi ko na alam yung mga yun. Masaya pa ako ng mga oras na ito.

11:00 AM – 5:00 PM– They offered to induce me prior to cervix dilation and wtf! It also started the extreme pain, the pain I never felt in my entire life. The contractions are now 10, 8, 5, 4, 3 minutes apart that my body telling me to rest even just for a seconds. I don’t know where the pain was coming from, the head? At the back? My butt? Naah! Hindi na ako makangiti! Nagdidikit-dikit na ang mata, ilong at bibig ko sa sobrang sakit, hehe.

I told my husband na hindi ko na kaya talaga, sabihin nya sa OB na i-CS na ako. I heard my Nanay’s voice, I told her the same. They did not agree to my requests, I was already 8cm so sabi ni Nanay kayanin ko daw, sayang ang pera pang-CS. Honga naman!

5:00 PM – I was really exhausted. They transferred me to labor room and put sleeping medicine on my dextrose for the preparation of my delivery. They told me to inform them once I felt the urge of pooping. Hokey fine!

7:00 PM – I woke up and OMG! I want to poop. The nurses, doctors and my OB were rushing and broke my water bag. I transferred to delivery room, and yes, I pooped (kahiya-hiya man).


7:16 PM – After maybe 8 pushes, our little bundle of joy come out. I’m the happiest little girl on earth! After that, I slept and woke up by 9 PM, I saw my family inside the room together with the new member. Ang haba-haba ng araw na ito, sa sobrang haba when I texted my friends sabi ko nanganak na ako last night., same day lang pala. Haggardo Versoza man ako, masaya kasi kasama na namin ang Baby at yes normal delivery pa.

I have a friend from 0 ay ininduce siya.  Ayaw niya sana magpa epidural pero sakit daw talaga.

Hi sisses! 36 weeks preggy na ako tomorrow. Would like to ask if considered labor ba yung contractions na 10 mins interval lasting for 20-30 seconds pero walang pain na kasama? Based sa mga nabasa ko iba iba talaga ang signs. Medyo nakakalito lang kasi.

yeah it could be. iba iba ang labor kasi pero pwede rin na braxton hicks yan.  FTM ka ba?  nagpa IE ka na ulit?

i am at 38 weeks today and i thought manganganak na ako nung sabado dahil since 2am til night i was having contractions na may 2-10 mins interval lasting 30-60 seconds.  check up ko nung sabado ng hapon and 1 cm pa lang ako.  perp eto ako waiting pa rin. i am having prodromal labor.  nakakainip na kaya.  gusto ko na makita si baby.

^Thanks! Yes sis ftm ako. Saturday pa checkup ko uli, lagi rin ako ina IE ng OB ko. Pinaglalakad nya na ako and she told me na malalaman sa next visit kung kaya mag normal or CS na ako. 2-10 mins ang interval ng contractions mo, does it mean BH lang yon sis? Kasi diba pag totoong contractions regular intervals?

I'm just wondering sis bakit sa next visit malalaman kung normal or cs ka.  36 weeks  ka pa lanh so mahaba haba pa ang waiting time.

Yeah irregular contractions yung akin pero not BH na since masakit na siya and hindi lang naninigas.  Prodormal labor siya aka false labor.

^ sis cryz, i just went through babycentre's prenatal class videos and they mentioned that most women can follow the 5-1-1 rule regarding contractions - if your contractions occur every 5 minutes, they last 1 minute every time, and this has been going on for an hour then you can go to the hospital.

^^Hindi ko alam sis, yun lang kasi sabi ng OB ko. Galing na kami kanina sa kanya, inadvance na namin kasi may work hubby ko tomorrow. Ang sabi nya goal daw namin normal birth pa rin. Bumaba na rin daw si baby and pinaglalakad na ako 4hrs a day. Ah "false labor" na pala yung ganon, thanks sa info sis.

Ako nalaman ko na manganganak na ako kasi ibang klaseng ngalay sa balakang nafeel ko. Nun ko lang yun nafeel tapos sabayan pa ng contractions.  Pagdating ko sa hospital, mataas na pala bp ko kaya ok na rin maski mag 2 cm pa lang ako. Na cs ako otherwise ikamatay ko pa. Naninigas na rin daw tummy ko kaya yun na pala talaga yun. Basta ibang klaseng ngalay sa balakang, yun na yun.
