Birthday Party in SchoolÜ

^i am thinking of getting jollibee for my son's party this august. but i have to ask his teacher if papayagan kami, ang worry kasi baka makadisturb sa kabilang room since the kids will surely go crazy over the mascot.

Yes sis, ang alam ko lang they just require na may room na pagsusuoan ng costume, yung hindi kita ng kids.

maganda ba may activities yung kids na gagawin during the party? like cupcake decorating perhaps. or should i just go for the usual games and prizes?

Ok din sis yung decorate your own cupcake, let them wear apron. Sa school kc ng son ko they have their own, but kung wala pwede mo ipersonalize with the name ng mga classmates nya, parang souvenir na din db?

^^thats what I did for S's school party before complete with personalized apron. But I suggest if madaming students in a class, you can bring iced cupcakes and the kids will be the ones to put the decorations. If they'll be the one to ice them medyo messy. Manageable if onti Lang yung students. Helpful too if you can cover the tables with manila paper so easier clean up

any idea for give-aways?

one time my duaghter went home with a lunchbox as a give-aways from ehr schoolmate who celebrated her party at school. i want sana something like that, yung useful. out na agad ang school supplies since provided yun ng school.. im thinking maybe yung mga batt-operated toothbrush.. what do you think mga sisses? or do you have any other suggestion?

^sa school ng son ko sis automatic na pav may invitation nagpapadala ng gift sa celebrant....nireremind pa ng teacher sa students to tell mommy to buy gift hehe hindi ba ganoon ang culture sa school nyo? iba iba rin kasi eh

There are really parents who doesnt give gifts. Yan din yung fear ko e. i suggest you give the invitation a week before so they have 1 weekend to prepare/buy a gift for your son. Yun din kasi gagawin namin. most parents especially those who are working are very busy and hirap na maghanap ng time para bumili ng gift.

^oops I check on the school manual.  Bawal birthday parties and gift-giving sa elementary.  Sa Kinder pwede pa before.  Sa Shakey's na nga siguro.  December 16 kasi birthday nya, my fear is baka walang pumunta kasi busy holidays na.

I already asked my sons teacher for Do's and Dont's for birthday parties at school. Sabi balloons and softdrinks lang naman daw ang bawal. Most of his classmated were just 3 years old and nannies are strictly not allowed inside the classroom even during parties. Yung parents lang ng celebrant since sila mag aasikaso. So, I decided not to include games since they will be watching a movie naman that day.

Ok lang kaya kung mag add ako ng party hats para medyo personalized naman? Also, pwede kaya mag request sa mga parents to have their kids were anything green that day or Bad piggies shirt? Bad piggies of Angry birds kasi yung theme e.

My son will also be celebrating his 5th bday party in school. Superman/Justice League ang theme nya and I have several red capes from a previous Shakey's party. Yun na lang gamitin nila instead of party hats.

For food, we're thinking either the usual spaghetti since there's a Mcdo near his school or pizza as suggested here. Can't decide pa...messy din kasi pag spaghetti...we'll have cupcakes din siguro and a small blowing cake.

For lootbags, ano po ba maganda na related sa Superman/Justice League theme nya?

My Dihia celebrated his ironman themed party in school last week. it was our first time celebrate his birthday sa school nya (last year kasi we celebrated his 3rd sabay sa binyag ni Syoti). this time, it was really simple and we followed the school's policy (no entertainment, no games, just eating and cake blowing). honestly, i never expected his simple birthday celebration to be one of my most memorable one as a mom. teary eyed ako. really appreciated simple things and realized that my son can be very happy even without any add-on entertainments or games... here's what we did:

INVITES: DIY by me, printed on sticker paper. 3x4" 
we invited all levels (around 45kids)

FOOD:
pansit canton @ mushroom burger (4 bilao - 1 for staff & teachers, 1 for yaya& driver, 2 for the kids)
pizza @ yellowcab
drinks- water
cake - shoppersville
desserts -i created a dessert table outside as the kids' giveaways and for the teachers as well
since the school is a montessori school and pro recycle - we used the school's plates, forks and cups. i just provided brown-box incase the kids wanted to bring home their food.

classmates giveaways - small directors chairs (ironman for boys, lalaloops for girls)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONG - - since my son's school is a catholic school and managed by nuns (teachers are lay), he had his happy birthday song w/ his schoolmates in the chapel after their prayer time w/ the eucharist. then another one w/ a school birthday banner sa loob ng hall nila. i was teary eyed seeing my son very happy singing and dancing pa.

mga sis, please don't get me wrong regarding other things/activities that you want to do in your child's school... my son's only request for his birthday was to wear his ironman suit and ironman to visit him (which we're not allowed to bring him there, kaya sabi ko busy si ironman to save the world. hehe) and an ironman cake. that's it... overall, he is super happy and he loves to tell what happened in school and he loves to watch my video clip of him during candle blowing.. oh btw he receives gifts from his classmates

^ sis my son loves mushroom kasi. Though he also eat spaghetti pero mas gusto nya pansit with mushroom. Yung school nya kasi, ang nag pprovide ng daiky snacks nila. So may variety kaya kumakain kids. Yung son ko during his 1st year dun, bihira sya kumain ng hindi nya kilala. Ngayon, kumakain sya. Pero naalala ko one of his classmates mentioned he likes to eat hotdogs with pansit daw. Inisip ko kasi baka sawa na kids sa hotdogs.
