I just got home from Davao/Pearl Farm

I must say Im good with with Pearl Farm for one night. Nothing too fantastic. Of course maganda yung place but that was about it. Beach is not clean. Shoreline pa lang mabato na, I didn't enjoy it Kahit mag Malipano Island ka, yes konti tao, you can have it to yourself but not clean nga kasi.

But of course, you're paying for ambiance and experience. Wala ka naman masasabi sa rooms, place. Even food is great! Masarap kahit alin. And bow talaga ako sa customer service, wala kang maiaangal. SUPER bait ng lahat.

Surprisingly ito lang yung trip ko na hindi ako nasunog, I did not enjoy magbabad talaga. There are more places in the Philippines that's more fantastic!

talaga sis meg?nothing too fantastic ba?kaya medyo nagdalawang isip ako kung pearl farm or other resort..kasi medyo steep ang price tapos parang half price lang yung sa iba..

pearl farm kasi yung pinaka pioneer na resorts in davao.. if you like mag day tour kayo sa pearl farm and then pag balik niyo marina, you can transfer na lang to another resort for overnight.. or kahit dun na kayo sa back entrance ng pearl farm dumaan para ang labas niyo sa kalsada na mismo ng samal at hire na lang kayo ng habal habal papunta dun sa iabgn resorts.. so you can also explore the other sites sa samal..

for me ok na kahit mag Day Tour na lang sa Pearl Farm...dahilan diyan mga sis kung andun kana lang den naman sa Davao eh lubos -lubuin na hehe yung masasabi mong napuntahan ko ren yan pero kung yung tipong mag overnight, medyo kamahalan, pero kung afford naman...y not

Pearl Farm is ideal for relaxing because it's not crowded.. if you're going there for sight-seeing, a day tour will do.. 3 days will bore you.. but if you're looking for a place to relax, then this is the resort to go!
the beach is not as powdery white as that of boracay but they have an infinity pool and another pool and a jacuzzi near the Mandaya houses.. the service is great! the staff is polite and helpful.. the food is also great and tamang expensive lang.. 200+ 300+.. ulam is usually good for sharing.. i love their pineapple juice! very pure and doesn't taste like can.. our room was a bit old.. the bathrooms in the Mandaya houses do not have doors (i felt uncomfortable about it).. the powder room is very spacious.. they have electric vehicles to take you from the parola/resto to your room.. some rooms kasi like Mandaya medyo malayo.. about 10-min pag lakad lang.. to get to malipano island, there's a speed boat that leaves every after 30 mins..

What I posted was just my own thoughts
The place is still wonderful as it is. Parang hindi nga naman complete ang stay sa stay without it.

I am a beach person kasi, sobra. Pwede ako magbabad whole day at iwanan sa beach. But surprisingly hindi nangyari 'to sa Pearl Farm. Because I said nga, shoreline pa lang hindi ka na makalakad barefoot. Madumi pa, we used underwater camera and I can show you pictures of trash and jelly fish everywhere (even sa Malipano Island). I was looking forward to beach bumming kaya siguro nasabi ko that it was not fantastic.

But if you want to enjoy the scenery, and very good customer service, then go pa din kayo

What else can you do - swimming
All the others - massage, jetski, banana boat, etc has additional charge.

parang hindi ko din iaavail yung mga water sports..gusto ko lang magpahinga sa beach, toxic sa metro eh..how much massage nila, would you guys know?

^ medyo sis ever since nung bata ako pag may time at lalo na summer break nag u-unwind kame mag pamilya... iba den kasi ang offer ng pilipinas compare sa other countries we've been too, kung baga love our own

sis pag nag pearl farm kayo mas ok mag tagal dun sa sa Island, dun sa may bandang Pavillion...nag punta kasi kame ng bandang March, and i guess maganda yung water that time, pag nag punta kasi ng summer time like April, asahan muna madidikya ang mga beaches sa other parts ng pinas...

im going this december ang nagdadalawang isip [textspeak!] ako kung magbobook bako directly sa pearl farm or thru agoda ang difference lang is yung sa mismong resort inclusive na na meals agoda breakfast [textspeak!]. pero dami din kc bawal sa food sakin kya bka d ko din maenjoy buffet sa mga nakapunta na here what do you suggest?

When we spent a week there in January malinis yung beach. No dikyas nor basuras at the beach. I believe the time you were there was the season for dikyas and direction ng hangin papuntang beachside nila kaya lahat ng basura nandun.
It's the same anywhere, in Boracay its malumot during summer season while pagdating ng October to January wala kang makikita. In Bohol, same thing. Depends kasi sa direction ng hangin.

^^ Sats, yes the Mandaya room is more expensive, very nice yung room and definitely a lot bigger! I hope you'll get the Mandaya room na near sa pool

Samal room is always a "hit" because yun yung may stilts - nasa beach ka na - like you can just wake up, hear the waves, sea and look at your bottom and beach na.

Looks really nice. Gusto ko din yung Samal House. Looking at Agoda right now, $98 siya, breakfast included. Sarap i-book lol

^ yan din yung kiniha ko sis. all in is $117 kasi may tax and service charge per day. Pero ang nakakainis lang is hindi alam ni Agoda yung Air Phillipiines na airline code which is why nahirapan ako magbook I'm still waiting for their email.

maganda talaga sa samal house, yun din kinuha namin when we stayed there.. 4,500 lang rate na nakuha namin non kaya ok na din tapos sakto number 1 pa yung natapat samin kaya lapit lang.

in the end nagwagi ang bora for me hahaha, ewan ko ba parang namiss ko ang bora... next year talaga i promised myself na dito naman sa pearl farm.  in a way when i read some posts parang i'm glad na rin na i chose bora this time around kasi i want my baby to enjoy the sand talaga, first time nya kasi makapunta sa beach so i think for us bora was a good choice this year, but this is definitely on my short list, next year na talaga!   

we're staying at boracay regency sana lang hindi masyadong crowded, kaya nga we opted to go on a weekdays

I agree with this.  Parang nakakahinayang yung money that you will spend to stay there pero yung beach not that fantastic.  Ang magandang beach andun sa kabilang island pero walang accommodation there.  Gusto ko talaga magstay dun sa rooms on stilts - we checked it out and super ganda!  Kaso I'm guessing, super mahal din.
