What brand is your recommendation for luggage?

^Second the motion! Hands down Rimowa!    Tried and tested, international and domestic, paved and cobbled streets. And more cobbled streets! I think Rimowa should pay us, aquacharly, for endorsing them.

I heard Rimowa is good but since I can't afford it, Samsonite   I'm happy with my three Samsonite babies.

Our oldest set of luggage e Delsey. Madami na din yun napagdaanan at kung saan-saan na din nakarating (Europe, US, MidEast and within Asia). Buhay pa until now.. we have Samsonite din, mas magaan than our old Delseys. As expected, matibay talaga. Most recent Samsonite we got just last month is a shell-type one. Last year, we also got a set of Delsey lightweight luggage from Duty Free. So far, these two brands did not disappoint pa naman..

We plan to get a Rimowa soon, pero parang naghihinayang ako kasi syempre mahal, plus all our maletas are functional and in great condition pa naman. Siguro pag me nasira na lang, tsaka na kami bibili ng Rimowa para pampalit.

Rimowa for me. Never had excess weight on my baggage since I bought mine. My recommendation is to use a  padlock instead of the code lock. The built in code lock is a bit of a challenge to use. I even reset my without even knowing it. Now I have to bring my luggage to Rimowa to have the code reset. They do it for free naman and you can have your Rimowa repaired anywhere in the world. This is a worthwhile investment for me

Other advantages: it's a hard case so your stuff inside will not get squished. When it gets dented, you can bring it to the Rimowa store to have them "punch" the dent back. Nice colors. They have a lot if sizes to choose from.

I'm torn in choosing between a Rimowa salsa air cabin or a Samsonite firelite. I would like to have a Rimowa but the thing is the Samsonite firelite is 60 euros cheaper so I'm torned. Which among the 2 is more durable?

By the way, there's a shop in Munich that offers 10% discount to Rimowa luggages for cash payments but unfortunately, they don't have the Salsa Air in stock that time. And Munich is too far for us to drive just for a luggage. We will go to Dusseldorf in 3 weeks so I need to decide which among the 2 should I get.

I'll go for the Rimowas too. I've been a convert since 2009 and never looked back. I have a set of Salsa bags (di pa lumabas si Salsa Air). I'll be upgrading my Salsa and will be getting their Topas series. It's going to be a bit heavier compared to their polycarbonate ones but I've always wanted to have their aluminum bags. I hope I can get a good deal when I get to Paris. Of course the best pa rin to buy at their Munich flagship store.

Anybody here familiar with Lojel luggages?  I was told it was one of the best luggages.  Made in Japan and of polycarbonate.  It was the lightest luggage available now and often used daw by FAs and pilots.  I just saw the demo unit here in SG, talagang light sha at matibay (Bendable pero hindi nayuyupi).

I find their other models a bit heavy thus I'll stick to their salsa air then. The shop in Munich that offers discount for cash payments in Rimowa is not the flagship store mismo but a "lederwaren" shop that is located in front of the fountain. We've also been to the Rimowa shop but wala rin sila salsa air cabin that time but yung mini which I also find cute.

The Salsa Air is definitely their lightest model. Medyo mahirap lang the single handle to support anything placed on top since meron tendency to slide off, for example if you want to place your handbag on top of the luggage. But if you've no intention of putting anything on top naman, it should be okay.

I've seen some retail stores in Munich that offer discounted Rimowas. Maglalaway ka talaga!

I would like to get a rimowa too. Mas matibay nga sha so it's worth the investment. Tignan ko if I can find a rimowa on sale, assuming tumigil tong typhoon and we could still stay for 2 nights in HK.

Bought a samsonite firelight red medium. Price 31,950. Got it at 20% off at megamall last week. It's so light that my kids 1 & 3 were able to push it by themselves. I'm happy with my purchase!
