:) TIA

Sis sweetscience, pinapili kami ni doc based sa availability niya. Yup thats what she said nga na masmura ang sure cs than biglang cs. Yeah bigyan kita full feedback! Basta sched is before edd which was supposed to be nov 10, she told me dapat pahinga na the week before  yung pinili namin date na nov 5. Super sagad na yun for scheduled cs, which is ok din at least may last chance para hintayin umikot. She'll give you dates to choose from tapos you guys can decide which date you want =)

gave birth at medical city last oct 1, via cs. dapat oct 16 pa due date ko kaya lang nung check up ko sept 30, my OB found out na alarmingly low na yung amniotic fluid ko. emergency cs dapat, pero she was able to schedule a slot the next day, buti na lang kasi mahal kapag emergency. pero i was admitted that night na din. umabot din ng 140k++ yung bill, but i think it was worth it, at least safe kami ni baby and superb ang services.

^sis sweetscience, sa admission pa lang they would tell you na not allowed ang bottles and formula, pero may dala na kasi ako nun, di naman nila chineck luggage namin or anything, and hindi ko rin nagamit kasi super helpful lahat ng nurses and yung lactation expert na nagvisit sakin. they would really help and encourage you na makapag breastfeed during your stay sa hosp.

^ ah ok, thanks for the info sis.. :) yesterday nakapagpa-check up na ako, OB asked me kung kelan gusto ko i-sched yung cs if ever.. kahapon kasi breech position pa din si baby.. sabi ko kung pwede nov22 para same bday kami ni baby. puwede naman daw, pero kung mag-labor at pumutok panubigan ko before that date at breech pa din si baby eh magiging emergency CS na daw yun..kaya im praying sana NSD or kung CS man eh umabot sa schedule na nov22.. pinapag-bed rest niya ako para daw umikot si baby sa tamang position..

I asked my OB yesterday about sa package but since I am diabetic and CS hindi ako qualified sa package nila.
I also want a private room ang rate na binigay sa akin ay 150-160K. My OB is Dra. Rivera.

My tmc experience

Gave birth via scheduled cs on nov5 2013 7am
OB is dra.angela sison-aguilar
Package: cs baby friendly ward

Admission was nov 4 5pm
Listed kasi as guideline na latest admitting time for scheduled cs the following morning is 9pm. That morning I sent my husband to TMC para magpareserve ng room, luckily on that day madaming vacant sa baby friendly ward. Got in the hospital ng 5pm diretso kami sa admission filled out some forms and they processed our papers. (Needed dito yung several pages of admission orders/pack given by our OB for reference) was brought to the room around 6pm. Past 1pm considered half day charge na so ok lang yun naman talaga gusto namin.

When we got to the baby friendly ward yung initial na assigned was right beside the cr kaya we requested na palitan since  sa area na katapat nun, hindi siya katabi agad ng cr pero malapit parin. Like i said since madaming vacant when we got there, it was an easy request. Then since kasama ko sister ko we borrowed one of the chairs from the vacant room nankatabi (isang upuan lang kasI per room). Wala pa yung pillow (which is mauuwi mo after pero kailangan iwan yung tms pillowcase) and welcome kit when we got there, it took housekeeping siguro another hour or so to give all this which is fine lang naman since I wasnt in labor or anything. The welcome kit had a roll of tissue, a small bottle of alcohol, cip and a thermometer.  Then the nurse came in asking for consent forms etc (nasa tmc pack na bigay ni ob). Another hour or so dumating yung kukuha ng blood for cbc and I was asked to fill a cup for urinalysis. I was told na that I couldnt eat 8 hours before the scheduled cs.

We bought food kasi gutom na nga ako nun, then dumating yung dinner from the hosp which was orange chicken and soup may kasamang absolute na water. Then dumating yung rep from the delivery room to brief me of what will happen, what I need to do, mga gentle reminders etc. Sunod nun is rep ng anes who explained the procedure etc. By 9pm they brought me to the labor room sa 5th flr for ctg.

When I got back bawal na kumain 11pm na kasi so fasting na then the nurse told me na at 3pm start na kami prep for the operation: midwife to shave my down under, then bigyan nila ako pang poop after that ligo ako with the antibac wash which they will provide. I was brought to the 5th flr delivery room/OR around 6:30. I kept on reminding the nurse that as per my ob sama si hubby sa delivery room, sabi nila tatawagan na lang si hubby to suit up ng scrubs para makapasok susunod na lang siya sa loob. (Scrubs are 400php each labas pasok kailagan magpalit) yung clothes ni baby tatawag na lang daw ang NICU kapag kailangan na nila.

6:45 prepped na ako , nakahiga na sa OR I could hear my docs greet each other and make chikka while prepping me, which was calming kasi nadidistract ako sa takot. By 7am I was already numb sa stomach down to my legs, baby out by 7:27. Super nice ng anes namin kasi pinapasok si hubby right when the baby got out eh nagka topak digicam namin, good thing si anes , ay dala cam so he became our photog narin.

After this I was brought to the recovery room tinabi narin sakin si baby sa bassinet, all I could think about was yung tips ni delivery room rep na deep breathing para ma'move yung legs ko (you meed to raise /be able to bend legs before leavering the recovery room) during this time binigyan narin si baby ng vaccine for hepa b and vit k also foot amd thumb mark for the certf.

I got back sa ward ng 10:30am, was rolled in with the baby. They gave the baby kit which had disposable diapers na prokids 24pcs, cotton, basin, disposable wash cloth, cups lactcyd baby wash small bottle, baby was already wearing the tmc provided bonnet (sinuot paglabas na paglabas niya sakin, so the clothes we provided was just the mittens, booties, top and bottom plus recieving blanket).

Within the day I was visited by reps of my ob and pedia checking up on me kasI kailangan daw maka fart before I can start eating solid food, so I was allowed at first dabs of water sa lips, later on clear fluid tapos crackers for breakfast then dinner lang ako nakapag lugaw (hosp food lang since they need to check if kaya na ng system ko).

Nov6 all I did was rest and was visited by my pedia nung 10am to check on the baby after this dumating yung midwife who taught us how to give the baby a bath, tips on breastfeeding and how to do the swaddle wrap. I was up and walking na, was able to pee na and change my maternity pad on my own, nagtanong na kami kay ob if when pwede magpa discharge since I heard nga that may super storm na darating the following day. Was visoted by my ob late evening who taught me how to clean the stitch, inaayos na raw discharge papers ko for the following day. We forgot tuloy to have her sign the copr of birth certf and cf2.

Nov 7
Hubby settled the bills
Beeakdown:
Mommy = 48k
Baby = 11k

Ob pf = package rate net of philhealth 25k
Anes = 10k
Pedia = 7k

Total 90k

Take note wala pa ako sss and philhealth (reimburse na lang daw ng tmc yung 11, 600php since we forgot to get it signed by our ob)aayusin ko pa lang.

Overall,  for me the fact that I was cs and expected a 140k bill na down to 90 k was enough to make me happy. This was truly a good first time experience with tmc. May konting probs lang with waiting time, really space for guests (but ok narin kasi relatives this way are discouraged from staying too long and more time to rest ) and yung poor hubby ko with backpains kasi hindi makahiga since one chair lang for the bantay.

Sorry napahaba, just wanted to super detailed!

^sis, ikaw pala yung isa sa 3 nanganak last nov5! i had my check up kasi with dra aguilar nov5 at sabi nya 3 pinaanak niya.. 3am, 7am at 10am..

breakdown:
baby - 16,161.12
mommy - 89,224.88

ob pf - 61,600
pedia - 7,000
anes - 24, 640

total - 135,386

sis, what do you mean by wala ka pang sss at philhealth? di pa deducted yun sa total mo sa TMC? dun kasi sa binayaran namin, sa breakdown nakalagay under philhealth eh 11,400 lang.. yun lang yung binawas na under OPERATING ROOM pa yung description.. naguluhan lang ako, may mairereimburse ka pa sa TMC?

sa sss naman 42k ata yun pag CS..

detailed kwento utang muna.. to follow :)

Hi sis sweetscience, ang alam ko lang is that they will send the results ng newborn screening sa pedia fter a month, hearing test I was told he passed, but for documentation you'll need to ask for it from nicu na siguro. Yup groggy ako nung namention yung vaccines but ang alam ko they gave vit k and first shot nga ng hepa b only. I'm sure wala bcg since we went to the same pedia and required si baby to get bcg and second shot of the hepa b next month. Pricey yung pedia kaya once we get results and all then we'll try looking for a diff pedia pero im sure you can ask for the results and etc from nicu naman, they should have it baka pwedeng instead of auto send nila sa pedia when you gave birth kayo na lang kumuha.

Re philhealth hindi daw  kasi napasign kay doc aguilar yung cf2 so we paid whole amount, pwede raw reimburse yung php 11, 600 sabi ni hubby but will double check exact amount.

Yung sss ko kasi kulang ng 1month since I transferred jobs, our hr said titignan niya pa if magagawan ng paraan. Sana mahabol kasi malaki nga sana matutulong pambili ng add baby stuff.

I need to call tmc rin naman today, ask ko rin mga ques mo then balitaan kita =)

same din ba tayo ng pedia at anes sis?
eto samin..

anes - rene berdan
pedia - stella manalo

scheduled cs nov 8 2013 1:30pm
ob - dra angela aguilar
anes - dr rene berdan
pedia - dra stella manalo

went there nov7 10pm since advice ni ob eh midnight daw magpa-admit kasi need ng atleast 8hrs before the schedule for the preparation. Went to the admission, was informed na pag nag-check in na eh considered half day na yung charge kaya we decided na wait mag-12 midnight bago i-process ang admission.

i was told na di pa puwedeng kumain ng solid until umutot ng 3beses :P liquids lang daw muna ang puwede.. so all those time eh puro absolute mineral water lang ako.. si hubby binilhan ako ng jelly ace since puwede daw yun sabi ng nurse.. tapos the whole time eh nakahiga lang ako, di puwede kahit tumagilid.. kaya pala naka-catether ako.. then after several hours dumating yung nurse puwede na daw ako tumagilid.. then after several hours puwede na mejo i-incline yung bed pero di pa totally nakaupo..then another instruction na puwede na umupo pero di pa puwede tumayo.. unti unti.. then after several hours pwede na tumayo.. nung first time kong tumayo at maglakad after the operation eh nangangattog talaga tuhod ko.. need ko ng mahahawakan kaya ina-assist ako..

may mga lactation consultants na pumupunta to check if breastfeeding si baby at nagbibigay ng tips.. yung midwife din nag-first bath kay baby. siya din nag sponge bath sakin kinbukasan after ng operation..then 2nd night around 10pm dumating si ob para ituro how to clean the stitch.. nagulat hubby at mom ko kasi tuyo na daw agad! then sinabi din ni ob na puwede na kami madischarge the next day, nung paalis na si ob humabol pa si hubby, kelan daw puwede sundan si baby! LOL.. sagot ni ob balik dw kami sa kanya pag nag .. di kami ready! ineexpect namin 2-3days more pa.. kaya ayun, the next day kahit yr na si baby :) anyway, puwede na kami mag check out ng 11am next day pero nag-full day na kami kasi may mga ineexpect pa kaming visitors..si hubby inayos ang discharge papers at payments habang nandun yung mga visitors.. then around 5pm umalis na kami ng TMC :) happy with the experience kaya next baby dito ulit :)
