hi mga sis! just want to know kung meron na ba dito naka try manganak  sa tmc using an hmo card na hindi nagpapadagdag ng pf si ob?!i have intellicare card kasi..150,000 ang limit for delivery.eh type ko sana mag lamaze room.problem is mukang ayaw ni ob i accept ako kung mah lamaze room ako.keso sabi nya 6k na nga lang daw ang pf nya since hmo card tapos ang dami ko pa daw demand..ewan ko ba pero in my opinion, they should be giving the same kind of service to those using hmo cards as they do to those paying in cash.i also tried different ob pero nag bigay naman ng hint na parang gusto nya mag padagdag ng fee since 6k daw eh parang fee lang ng midwife.confuse tuloy ako kasi diba since affiliated sila ng hmo card eh dapat sumusunod sila sa rate?hindi ko tuloy sure kung illegal ba yung hihingi sila ng additional fee sa mga patients nila.sana meron dito yung naka experience na.

I just learned that I have the same situation as you are. I'm term na and due to deliver any time. I told my OB that my HMO covers maternity benefit. Apparently it's the first time she encountered na may maternity benefit ang HMO namin. Ang office lang namin ang meron among all our HMO's clients pala. Anyway so she checked with the HMO. First, she found out na 6k nga lang daw ang PF na binibigay ng HMO, even if malaki ang allowance nila. I sympathize with the doctors in this case; I don't think that's the right compensation naman. So we'll just pay additional directly to her. Hindi naman malaki. She asked me if I wanted to find a different OB but I don't want to at this stage, of course, and I like her coz she's really nice. Comfortable na kami sa kanya. Secondly, she learned that our HMO still owes her 1.5 years worth of payments! Nakakahiya when I heard this actually, and naawa ako sa kaniya na hindi pala siya nababayaran. Actually kaya ako napunta sa kanya kasi the first OB I went to ay di na tinatanggap ang HMO namin for the same reason. Anyway, she just continued to accept me as outpatient despite the lack of actual payment from the HMO.

That's my experience. For me and my husband, we don't mind paying extra because we also don't feel the 6k she'll get from the HMO is sufficient compensation and we really appreciate that she's taken care of me. Plus hindi pa sure kung kailan niya yun masisingil from the HMO.

Hi mga sis, I am planning to give birth in TMC. Can you avail the package kahit from any OB? Or yung mga matataas na na consultant iba na yung fees nila? TIA

initially, sa PGH ko plan manganak kasi yun pinakamura as per my ob (choicess are St.lukes global, cardinal & PGH).. pero nalalayuan ako sa PGH kaya i inquired sa medical city.. kasi di resident dun ang ob ko kaya i asked.. na-mention na visiting doctor daw dun ob ko at nakapagpa-anak na daw dun sabi nung nakausap ko sa fone.. kaya sa check up ko next week, will ask my ob about that.. regarding the rates, ang package daw pag normal is 50k+, pag cs 75k+ sa ward. if i want na private room, discuss ko daw with ob kasi iba yung rates.. ayun.. eh halos same rate lang sa PGH kaya medical city na lang talaga ako.. sana ok with ob!

also, how much and ideal rate if manganganak ka ng normal and c-section sa medical city?

Update lang, nakausap ko yung OB ko about pagsama ni hubby sa DR, hindi siya pumayag. Oh well, swerte ni hubby di niya makikita ang gore lol. Pero sayang, gusto ko rin sana na makita niya kung gano kahirap manganak nang magkarespeto pa siya sakin lalo haha

Gave birth via CS at Medical City a couple of weeks ago. Nagustuhan ko naman yung experience ko with them from pre labor room to recovery room hanggang sa room na. Na room in rin si baby..ok naman lahat. My only complaint lang siguro is yung isang time sabay sabay pumasok yung midwife to give baby a bath,yung lactation consultants and nurse. Parang walang coordination..gulo tuloy sa room di ko alam sinong papakinggan. Pero overall, happy ako dahil ginawa nila yung Unang Yakap and talagang natuto ako sa hospital pa lang magpa latch kay baby.Magaling yung mga lactation consultants nila.

Total hospital bill for my CS delivery 3days 2nights confinement
 = Php 125k.

Hospital bill (mom and baby) = around 65k (less philhealth na)
OB = 36k
Anes = 18k
Pedia= 7k

^ Sis, private room yan? Need to start setting aside funds, due na ako in two months. Although normal ako sa 2 kids ko, still want to set aside enough for a CS delivery this time, just in case may mangyari, prepared ako..

Hi sisses just gave birth last Wednesday, May 22 at The Medical City via NSD. Just got home today. 3 days 2 nights din. Total fees ay around 97,000 pesos (wala pa yung Philhealth sa hospital bill), including PF, eto breakdown...

Note: Superior room kinuha naming (3,300/night)

Doc fees: (net Philhealth, cash basis)

PF OB: 30 thou
PF Anes: 10 thou
PF Pedia: 4 thou

Hospital fees: (wala pang bawas sa Philhealth, reimburse mode pa kami in a few days)
Paid via credit card (para sa free Ayala GC hahaha)
Mommy costs: 39 thou
Baby costs: 14 thou

Note again: Prices sa facilities are subject to room ha. Kaya mas mahal yung bang fees kasi bigger yung room.

Hi mga sis,

I am 23 weeks pregnant and here in the UK. I will be going home to the Philippines next month. Ang target hospital namin ni hubby is TMC. Any recommendations ng magaling na OB?

We plan to do an ocular visit first once we are there. And sana payagan si hubby na makasama ko sa labor room since gusto ko talaga na kasama siya habang naglalabor ako. Thank you in advance :-)

Hi mga sis. Im about to give birth anytime now. I just noticed that the maternity package requires baby to be roomed in already. My question is talaga bang strict na iimplement ito? Kasi i wont have any yaya need ko pa sana to rest after manganak kahit one day lang. Also, hndi ba maingay sa maternity ward kapag all babies are there? thank u

^Sis, required talaga na i-room in si baby even if you're going to get a private room.  I gave birth early this year and when I woke up sa recovery room nandun na rin si baby and sabay kami dinala sa room (private) but 5 years ago, my panganay stayed in the nursery for 1 day pa before siya ni-room in.

Ang OB ko is Dr.Rowena Rivera. She is the head ng OB Department ng Medical City.

For me, magaling sya sa profession nya and she's very accomodating din sa lahat ng
queries ko.  Although lagi madami syang patients especially pag saturday, eh worth it naman
yung paghihintay.

For me, magaling sya sa profession nya and she's very accomodating din sa lahat ng
queries ko.  Although lagi madami syang patients especially pag saturday, eh worth it naman
yung paghihintay.

Hi sis, thank you for your response. Tanong ko sis kung magkano ang check-up kay Dra? At kung head ba ng OB department, hindi kasali sa birth packages nila or option pa rin ng patient yun to avail their package?

Sa mga sis na nanganak na sa TMC, can we avail their birth package and pa upgrade na lang ng room since konting dagdag lang may private room ka na? Thanks in advance :-)

^If I'm not mistaken, sis, there are no birth packages for private rooms.
You may take it up with your OB of choice.
My OB is Dra. Cruz-Reyes.

Pwede mo i avail yung package ng medical city kahit si Dr. Rowena Rivera ang OB mo.
Di kami naka avail ng package kasi kailangan ko ng Cardiologist para sa case ko. Though sa ward kami nag stay.Ang tawag nila dun is baby friendly room. For me, okay naman experience namin sa baby friendly kasi sliding doors naman sya,di curtain ang pangharang.

Ang Consultation Fee nya is Php500 for every visit.

Di ako sure kung pwede mag upgrade ng room kung mag avail ka ng package nila.
