^im in your situation right now, im 90% sure about resigning because of the people in the office, they compensate me well, pero para tratuhin ako ng ganto? no way! galit kasi sa magaganda mga tao dito. hahaha. oh well, kidding aside, may mga insekyora lang talaga at yaw nila na natututo ka. hahanapan ka ng butas para bumagsak ka. demotivated na din ako mag work. tatapusin ko lang mga approved VL's ko then im outta here.

gusto ko nalang maging full time mom with my unica hija, she's turning two next year, all those times nasa yaya lang siya. i know she's coming on the critical stage where in the personality of the child will develop. hubby agreed naman na siya nalang mag work for us. ang alam ko lang gawaing bahay is magluto, sabi ni husband mag hire nalang kami ng maglilinis (general cleaning) at maglalaba. i can work with ironing clothes naman siguro.. basta gusto ko muna magpahinga, kapag ok na ang daughter ko mag school that's the time that i will be back for work. i know mababawasan ang income ng family namin pero matutulungan ko naman si hubby in small ways siguro.

For the longest time, I want to resign from my job in a multi-national company.  But I couldn't.  It's hard to risk financial stability if you have 2 young kids, even if my husband has a stable job.  I have a small shoes biz (on line) but it's still not enough to make me take the plunge and resign.  But I am so demotivated right now at work.  How about you, mommies, anyone who can relate to how I am feeling?  Any advice on how to keep yourself motivated?

Have you considered finding another company to work for?
Your family's welfare (and your kids' dreams) will motivate you not to give up to work pressures and other difficulties. Set your reasons and objectives clear and always think of overcoming challenges. Be careful not to fall into trap of thinking "working at home" is easier. It's not.

Or would you consider being a full time entrepreneur (though it doesn't guarantee more time for your kids, especially during start-ups) and grow your shoe business? It's an alternative source of income with unlimited possibilities.

Remember that as your children grows, so does family's financial needs, a single source of stable income (no matter how stable is seems these days) is still a too risky.

i'm going to give birth this January and i'm thinking of resigning after i give birth. pero sympre dapat stable pa din ang income.

i'm thinking to be a full-time faculty kasi based on my experience, hindi ganun kapressure compare sa corporate world. nakakastress kasi ang nasa corporate world. parang sinisilaban na pwet ko para umuwi.

pangarap ko ding maging housewife or nasa house. pero im still busy with stuff. hindi nga lang [textspeak!] kabila kabilang meetings at deadlines.

yes, if given a chance and choice, i would like to be stay at home mom!

i read an article that usually, kapag capable naman si hubby to provide the needs and a little of wants sapat na yun. minsan, we (moms) work because of WANTS lang, i am guilty of it. pero im decided na, ill be a SAHM muna until my daughter starts to study that's the time na  babalik ako sa work. iba pa din kapag ikaw ang may hawak sa anak mo, nagsisisi ako leaving my daughter to a yaya for almost 1 year.

what i really want is to run my own biz para i'll have control over my sked.  hirap pag 8-5 ang work e.  we'll be leaving the house at 7 and arrive at 7.  so, parang 2-3 hours a day na lang quality time with the kiddos.  but yun nga, we need to be practical.

IMO, mas mahirap magka business. lalo na if nagsisimula palang, you have to make tutok 24/7. as in hindi lang 8-5 ang trabaho mo.

yup, you're right.  but it depends naman how big your biz is.  i already have an on line shop with steady customers.  gusto ko lang mas tutukan para makapag-expand :)

^sis, I am in the same position as you are last year. I have the dream job kumbaga and have a good career path let's say going to a managerial position in a few years. i work in an aviation company and yung pay ko now is equivalent to a manager na siguro in other companies. plus all the travel benefits for the whole family and bonuses etc. Flexitime schedule, you get to travel all expenses paid, petiks sa work like internet to the max and all kaya nga sabi ng friends ko, swerte ko daw with the work that I have. the big BUT is, I am still so demotivated in my work! I dont want an 8-5 job anymore and been longing for this since I gave birth to my first born 5 years ago. Like kaninang umaga when I was bidding goodbye from my kids, my 1 year old would cry. Kailangan pang bola-bolahin para makaalis ako ng house. Yung 5 year old ko, she would always ask me in the afternoon, if my pasok ako kinabukasan... And para syang nananalo sa lotto kapag one-day sinabi kong hindi ako papasok and ako ang maghahatid sa kanya sa school... On times like these, my heart would melt... Iba talaga ang quality time sa mga kids... Iba talaga kapag full time ang mommy sa mga kids...

So since 2-3 years ago, sinusuyo ko si hubby na kung pwede, mag-resign na ako from work.. Hubby's salary is more than enough for our family, yung salary ko is more of pang-personal wants ko na. Sabi ko nun, I am willing to sacrifice yung personal wants ko. Hindi daw sya naniniwala.. kaya i made efforts here and there to start some sideline para pwede ako mag-work at home.

Finally naging okay yung online shop ko sa ebay. It was successful even in its first year especially last christmas like yung profit namin was really big that it was more than the combined salary of my hubby and I. Kahit si hubby hindi nya in-expect na magiging ganun ka-okey ang biz. Kaya sabi ko what more kapag natutukan pa mismo ang business.

Last November/December, I asked the Lord for a sign.. and mukhang ibinigay naman nya. Araw-araw yun, I bombarded my hubby with thoughts about being your own boss and being in the business as compared to being employed. So hubby and I finally made our plans. I will run an online and physical store come June 2011. We decided na I will resign by mid-May 2011. Bakit mid-May? Kasi para makuha ko muna yung mga subsidy na benefits namin plus the midyear bonus sa office.. A week after I receive the bonus, I will pass my resignation letter.. haha.. Malaking contribution din yun sa start up ng business. Tapos ngayon, Kahit pati si hubby, he is now dreaming of becoming a businessman.. NAgsasawa na rin sya sa pagiging empleyado.. hehe.. Lakas ko maka-impluwensya. pero little by little sabi namin...

May back up plan din pala kami. I will be applying for a certain license this first quarter and will start the tedious review this saturday. This will really be a dramatic shift in my career. All for the love of my kids and my family.. It would help a lot if you have the support of your loved-ones around you.

Eto ngayon, I am so counting the days till it comes May! Whew grabe! Finally after 5 years or so, with God's help.. my so-called dream of becoming a work-at-home mom is just months away...

with my plotted career objectives, i don't think i can afford to be a housewife. tama na yung pag weekends na lang.. :) hindi ako domesticated eh.

i wanna go back to work! :) i'm the type kasing hindi super domesticated, although i like cooking and baking. i miss the stress and the competition at work. i go crazy pag sa bahay lang. now my son is 2 years old, babalik na ako sa work. :)  Kahit more than enough ang salary ng husband ko. :)
