@runaway bridesmaid, akiotio, twelfth_goddess & mskitkat: thank you so much sa insights niyo.
After reassessing my priorities, ive finally made a decision and hopefully, this would bring me peace of mind and contentment in life.
I have simple plans lang in life. Raise my kids in a beautiful home, away sa city-life... and for my kids to grow up carrying the lessons and values na tinuro ko sanila.
i definitely can not be an 8-5/9-6 corporate employee. i can just see myself going crazy and paranoid to the possible negative things na ginagawa or pinapapanood ng mga yayas sa mga anak ko and baka everytime uuwi ako from work and sasalubungin nila ako, palagi lang ako maiiyak sa guilt na nafeel ko na naiwan ko sila. and i can not bear the fact na may ibang magdidiscipline sa kanila other than me or my husband.
i think may effect yung childhood experiences ko. Nawidow si mommy at an early age. She definitely needs to work hard para mapalaki niya ko. In effect, palagi akong naiiwan sa yaya. So my yaya was the one who witnessed my first menstruation, first hair ko sa kili-kili and pempem, siya nagluluto ng favorite fried rice ko and chicken adobo, siya naglalaba ng favorite shirts, siya lang ang nakakapagplantsa ng uniform ko ng maayos, etc etc. i am more emotionally attached to my yaya (for 20years now pero si mommy nalang ang siniserve niya) even up to now, kasi i can share everything to her.
and now, i can not trust my mom to look after my kids kasi i know she wasnt there when i was crying and i need to be pampered and "hele"-ed, when i need my diapers to be changed, when i want some healthy home-cooked meals (i remember puro instant noodles lang cook niya for me), when my bottles need to be washed and sterilized, when i need her to listen to my kilig/crush stories, etc etc.
i love my mom ofcourse... with all the sacrifices niya to send me to exclusive schools, to provide me all the luxuries in life, i know nahirapan siya ang i thank her for that.
but i realize i dont want my kids to grow up without "a typical mommy" who cooks for them, bathe them, read stories, play with them, put them to sleep and even slaps them pag may ginawa silang bad.
im just praying now na kayanin ko ihandle ng finances namin. i mean, pagkasyahin yung budget. haha! so far, naproprovide naman everything, immunization (ay grabe ang dami na ngayon. before konti lang daw sabi ng lola ko), premium milk, nice clothes, comfortable sleeping room, nice play area, healthy food. thanks din sa mga lolas and lolo na tumutulong samin.
pagmalaki ng yung girl/bunso ko, pagmasgusto na niya makipaglaro kay kuya and yaya, sana makahanap din ako ng career like that of mskitkat na flexible and sched.
kudos to us mommies! magkakaiba man tayo ng insights and diskarte, bottomline is, we all just want what is best for our kids! and right now, mommy twelfth_goddess siguro my self-growth and satisfaction would be being with my kids nga than having a grand career.
God bless everyone!
