"Designer" Bag for Beginners

I suggest Marc by Marc Jacobs bags. Affordable, made of leather and of good quality.

My first designer bag is Dr. Q Groovee in black. It was a Christmas gift for myself in 2009.

For my birthday last week pinabili ko na lang kay hubby yun Hello Kitty bag na nakita ko sa Rustans. 4k sya. Wala na pala Liz claiborne bags sa rustans. Yun design ng hello kitty bag parang yun sa LV na di ko alam anong tawag, sorry but yun itsura nya yun glossy tapos parang etched yun logo

meron din namang mura na Coach kesa sa MK pero yung leather ng MK mas mura kesa sa Coach. or siguro depende sa design/style.

I'm with your girls on this one....it pains me to see and want designer purses na papalit-palit naman sa pagka uso kada season or kada taon. My favorites "mid priced" brands are:

1- Kate Spade!-not as flashy branded and super cute din naman designs. I buy online and nagpa-member na rin ako,super 70 % off kasi price during their 'super secret sales". Price ranges 100-200 USD on sales (50% off sales but they go even lower sometimes)

2- Kung mahilig kayo mag online shopping, I suggest looking for Follie & Corinna , a NY based designer na known for their neutral and daily go-to bags (think big roomy pang office).I think Amazon has some. Pure calf leather din naman materials nila.price range wise I'd say nothing above 300 USD (but I could be wrong)

3-Oryany- also a brand I came across in Amazon. Their color palettes range from neutrals and some color blocking totes,hobos,cross body bags.

4- Lucky Brand-yup, the one that does jeans and tshirts! they have pure leather bags din.price range wise as far as I know nothing above  200 USD.

5- Liz Claiborne-meron sila pure leather line if you know where to look.I recently bought from JCPEnney, on sale din-price ranges nothing over 150 USD.

If you're a beginner bag lover I'd say invest in a good quality leather bag in a neutral shade (like black,gray,beige,tan,dark brown). Kung may makikita kayo sa ukay na bag at pure leather, DO buy it! Madali lang naman linisin ang mga ito. I'd go for usable form of bags like totes,hobos kesa satchel/ boston form ones.

My first designer bag was Ralph Lauren way back in college. Then nag shift sya to Tommy Hilfiger and then back to Ralph Lauren.

When I was working na, Dooney and Burke ang bag ko before and then Ralph Lauren. I love Ralph Lauren kasi.

Now, my bag is a Ralph Lauren Tote. I'm still waiting for my MK and Juicy Couture this coming November.

- Liz Claiborne (classic design but sometimes medyo pang matanda yung market nila)
- Calvin Klein
- Steve Madden
- Anne Klein
- Cole Haan
- Tommy Hilfiger (a lot of their bags go on sale yearly and the price can be really cheap)
- Ralph Lauren (some of their bags are expensive but they have bags that are also affordable)
- Xoxo (not always made of leather but has cute designs)
- fossil (good leather quality)
- Guess (not very durable but stylish)

Not sure sis, I'm in Aussie eh and my CC is from here. They asked for a copy of my latest bank statement plus driver's license lang (both in scanned pdf form,to validate my address  siguro) and ok naman in-accept nila. You can try being a member first and email their customer support. Baka yun din i-ask from you.I even attached my passport (PINAS passport) plus visa page din JC lang to support my other documents.
