I want to invest on good quality leather bags and I'm eyeing on Marc Jacobs and Coach. May gusto na akong style na type ko. Gusto ko sana ng Gucci/LV Neverfull kaso with its price pwede na ako makabili ng two leather handbags from Coach or Marc Jacobs.

For leather handbags anong brand ang preferred nyo na medyo affordable for beginners and with quality?

Sa work kasi, I just carry a backpack.  So unlady like.  Eh minsan nakakadyahe when going to interviews or office functions, wala akong madala na bag.

Ano kaya ang ma-r-recommend ninyo sakin.  Here is what I am looking for

1. Wala akong budget, I am willing to spend naman if it is really worth it. Or sige nanga, basta di lalampas ng 100k.

2.  I am not a fashionista.  I just want a classic bag na hindi naman mukhang luma pero at the same time, hindi sobrang trendy.

3.  I want a bag that I can use for the next 10 years na pang office. Just 1 bag.

4.  Ayoko nang super laki, bulky or heavy with chains.

5. Colors - I would prefer earth colors kasi feeling ko I can use it siguro for the next 10 years. Pero parang ok din ang camel, orange, blue...

I am just a very practical person. I confess that I am a sucker of the fake Long champ bags. Kasi tuwing ayoko na, tapon lang.  Then buy again.  Hindi ko pinanghihinayangan, kasi for 1 totoo, I can buy 30+ fake bags na puede na maghoard. Tapos in terms of durability, pareho lang naman. Tapos ang dali ko din pagsawaan.

Nagtitingin ako ng Fendi, Coach, Tods, LV, Tori Burch, wala akong mapusuan talaga. Feeling ko those bags I can use for 3 months tapos magsasawa nako. Tapos maliit kasi ang frame ko, nagmumukhang dala ko ang bag ng nanay ko.

at sis Girltalker2, huwag kang bumili ng one time big time na bag. may mga darating na occasions tapos mare-realize mo na hindi pwede yung bag mo para sa lahat ng klase ng gatherings. for me ang kailangan at pinaka-basic is:
1. one handbag
2. one shoulder bag
3. one clutch (kapag naka dress)
4. a luggage &/or backpack for traveling
5. one diaper bag para sa mga mommies.

may mga bags na handbag & shoulder bag in one, kung praktical ka okay ito, stick to black siguro. kung bibili ka ng high-end bag, magtanung ka sa sales assistants doon yung iba kasi may sizes. maliit lang ako at ang laging fit sa frame ko na size ng bags is yung smallest. kapag pumunta ka sa shop huwag mo lang tignan yung bag kailangan talaga hawakan mo & try it on. ako din i feel na parang ang lalaki ng mga bags these days. kapag nagsukat ako ng on display, nagugulat ako na they are too big for me! kung for office maganda kung may zipper iyan.

wala akong coach bag pero parati akong napapatingin sa shoulder bags with zipper nila, yung simpleng square lang. kapag nakakita ako ng type ko, bibili ako ng ganun. very conservative looking kasi at sa tingin ko its a good office/everyday bag, mukhang matibay.

yung handbag, i mean as in tote lang. hawak lang sa kamay, di pwede isabit sa balikat. oo nga pala, baka you might have to take into consideration also yung material, kung coated canvass, leather or cloth. maganda rin punta ka sa ibang forums na may pictures na bitbit nila yung bag kasi iba itchura sa pic. magkaka idea ka rin gaano karami pwede mo ilagay sa loob ng bag mo. kapag may laman na yung bag, yung iba mas maganda, yung iba naman hindi. yung iba kapag nilapag mo na yung bag iba na rin ang look, maganda lang na nakasabit. i prefer yung mga bags na hindi nagiiba ng porma o nagsa-sag ot at least may flat bottom.

If Coach, go for the leather bags, not the canvass. Canvass bags won't last.

^i have canvas bags from coach, some are older models but they still look good. water repellant naman yung fabric so matagal bago maluma. problema yung color transfer from clothes, yun ang mahirap na talaga alisin, yung paghimulmol is di gaano obvious unless you inspect it

LongChamp is a really nice bag, good buy. Much cheaper dito talaga sa Europe. Kahit sa mga Duty Free Airports sa Asia, mahal parin pala dyan.

I recently discovered the brand Salad, for its price sobrang worth it na for a genuine leather bag. I also love the color and style from their collection. Also hindi siya mabigat

I recommend for beginners to invest on your first designer bag. Because bag is no longer a fashion accessory but an investment and a collectable.  Michael Kors, Armani, Marc Jacobs, burberry to name a few. Goodluck!

I dunno I notice the "mulmol" and that turns me off from their canvas bags - unless you get coated canvas.

For Kate Spade, you can get them as low as 16K if from 158 Designer's Blvd.

anong designer bag ang liteweight? ang dami ko kasi maglagay ng gamit sa bag, kaya ang bigat.. anong designer bag ang magaan kahit wala pang laman.. I checked some MK bags sa greenbelt and for me ang bigat, wala pang laman.
