why sis? baka di nila maintindihan? yung dad ko dati, he use to be like that. na kung gusto ko lang i can do things daw etc. hindi naniniwala sa mga psycho thing etc. father ko. pero later on, na acknowledge din niya siguro dahil its been going on for a long time already. with my doc, she asked me to bring my parents the next time i visit.

close minded parents ko eh. . .
Like they are cartoonish conservative, you get what i mean?
So... Anyway, kakayanin ko naman siguro. :) Positive thinking hehe

ahm...i think im bipolar pero nahihiya [textspeak!] to consult and friend. i have a great problem focusing..nun college [textspeak!] naka 3 schools [textspeak!] and nka 5 courses [textspeak!]. then after college nag job hoping [textspeak!]...pinakamatagal ko na ang 3 months and pinakamabilis ang 1day. then nag stay lang [textspeak!] w/ my prev company kc i have friends there and they pay quite well pero sobra hirap ko magfocus sa job ko. grabe ang high and lows ko...mg TL always talk to me kc they know what i can do during my sunny day pero pag grave mood ako grabe ala ako ginagawa kundi mangulit at makipagkwentuhan lang sa katabi ko. then when i resigned after 3years working w/ them nka 5jobs uli ako kahahanap ng so called "maganda work". right now im trying to focus kc kawawa baby ko pero sobra hirap talaga.
nalaman ko lang about bipolar kasi gawa nun naging friend ko sa work and she told me na baka nga daw ganon ako...first i felt offended nun nag research ako about it narealize ko na I am.

guys anyone can help me to find a good psychology? please...tnx

yeah sis... well, i don't know kung anong meron ako: drepession or bipolar case, but i am sure na there's something extremely wrong with me.

Isn't it frustrating dito sa Philippines na kapag one person needs the help of a psychiatrist sobrang they'll treat the person like a crazy outcast. Well in fact sa other countries, i.e. USA, sobrang normal lang yun. Dapat ma-increase ang awareness regarding cases like these here in the philippines for better understanding... yun lang, bow.

Totoo yan Sis, in fact yong mga health insurance sa US cover mental health benefit. As for Sis JEDAINZ, don't worry malalagpasan mo din ito.

my sis had schizophrenia, and continuous na ang medication nya. mahal nga.

OMG. been wanting to discuss this too. i've been wanting to see a psychiatrist too. i thought it's post partum syndrome, but analyzing how i've been even before i had kids, and now that my youngest is almost a year old, napaka-unstable ko.
i was aiming to go to pgh cuz i saw plenty of  good psychiatrists there. pero baka meron naman maisu-suggest from asian hospital para malapit sa akin at di ko ma-miss ang appointments. i think makakatulong ng malaki sa life ko. from what i have read on your stories, malaking tulong kung hihingi na ako ng professional help.

p.s. i know ur reading this my dear fan, and rejoicing about my admission, pero i think you are needing psychiatric help too. for being uber-inggitera!

Ang hirap naman ng ganyang situation coz it's like you can't control what's happening with/to you. Hindi ba makakatulong ang support group or at least an accountability partner? Yung someone who can identify the "symptoms" or signs na ayan na naman umaatake na naman... coz if you're under meds, it should help keep the neurotransmitter "defects" at bay for you to function "normally", tama ba? Otherwise, sayang yung gamot di ba?.

My brother works for PMHA and one of their consumers (they don't call them patients e) has bipolar disorder. She can be trusted daw to do errands for them and matagal na siyang hindi sinusumpong. Sa recovery kasi naka-assign si utol. Sila yung nagte-train o gumagawa ng activities for the consumers to be ready to return to normal, everyday tasks. I'll ask my bro kung ano ba ang coping mechanisms na puwedeng gawin for this.

(sorry i have to use the quotation marks coz di ko alam yung mga tamang terms, baka ma-misinterpret ako e yun yung closest word na naiisip ko)

I was recently diagnosed as bipolar. I was not surprised cos when my mom was diagnosed in 2007, i started researching about it and realized that i have some of the symptoms.

Im on 50mg seroquel and 25mg lamictal.

Being bipolar can be very challenging, mostly because negative thoughts just go creeping in your mind and you cant help it unless you take the meds. Because of the negativity, you have a different view of life and the people around you. Its difficult, frustrating and sad.

I always yearn to be a better person and im bent on beating this illness because it sucks knowing that youre the primary cause of hurting your loved one. I should know because i was the receiving end before of my mom's bipolar attacks.

If any of you thinks you may have it and its up to the extent that you see your loved ones suffering, seek help.

By the way, does any of you know of support groups in manila for bipolars?

There are many kinds of bipolar disorder. The extreme one is Bipolar I since its coupled with delusions and hallucinations. I had to confine my mom before because I saw her talking to someone who is not there. I feared for the worst like maybe she has schizo.

Compared to how she was then, she has improved a lot mainly because she stays on the meds now and has finally accepted that she has it. Now, she does not have any of those delusions anymore.

If you're really concern about your friend, talk to the family.

i saw a pscychiatrist once a few months ago. i didnt follow up cuz i still cant take meds while breastfeeding my baby and she wont stop breastfeeding..
i had a hormonal tests by the way and everything was in normal range..
now everything is falling apart in my life. i am so sorry i didnt get treatment before. my baby would have been better off w formula milk and stable mother than breastmilk and inconsistent mother.
i dont know if it's too late to fix my life. everything is falling apart. i think im going to see the doc again and really get treated and hope that i can still patch up my life.

hi, i got interested in this topic when i heard my sis-in-law talking about bipolar disorder kasi nanunuod sila ng MMK. well, i heard that this kind of disorder eh [textspeak!] tao daw ay super hyper tapos biglang maddepress, i searched in the internet and yes ganun nga din [textspeak!] nabasa ko. i've read some symptoms and somehow i find myself in those symptoms (i hope wala akong sakit)

well, this is my story. siguro it started when i was in 3rd highschool, the issue about me and my bestfriend .. i wont elaborate much about that pero sabi ko sa kanya dati i will find something about myself, something na magiging happy ako pero until now d ko pa din nakikita [textspeak!] bagay na un. since then, things get worst. i was not contented on what i have pero there are times na naco-convince ko [textspeak!] sarili ko na i should be contented and happy about my life after that won't last for a long time. babalik na naman ako sa pag-iisip na i am not contented, i am not happy, i want something else, i want to quit on something that i am doing kasi i am not happy with it and the best solution for that is to escape far away, away from the people, away from the environment, away from anything. honestly, andito ako sa Abu Dhab, thinking that this is the best way to think about my life, about my plans in life pero kapag nakapag-isip na ako bigla naman akong tatamarin gawin [textspeak!] mga bagay na un. actually, nagsimula maging malala last year, when my heart got broken because of that guy, i started drinking almost everyday, i will tell lies para lang maka-absent sa part-time job ko tapos ang gagawin ko lang naman eh uminom tapos i can sleep all day, tumaba ako, i think about a lot of things, nag-iimagine ako na life will be better pero hindi naman. tapos nasundan pa sa school, i dropped some of my subjects, hindi ako pumapasok kasi tinatamad ako kasi hindi na ako masaya. hindi ako masaya sa ginagawa ko, hindi ako masaya sa environment ko, hindi ako sa mga taong kasama ko. nawalan ako ng tiwala sa tao pati sa sarili ko. nung 2nd sem ganun din ginawa ko, worst part i just stay at home, drinking with some friends, sleep all day, eat all day and do nothing to make me feel better. and now i really feel lost in my life :( i told my friend na magsosoul search ako dito pero sabi niya hindi naman daw ata tama na lumayo ako ng sobra para lang magsoul search. now, i am convincing myself to go back to school not for the people around me but for myself, na babalik ako para ayusin ang buhay ko and i won't think about what will they say about me. sa totoo lang i am still scared to face people, people who hurt me. people who i dont trust. gusto kong tulungan [textspeak!] sarili kong matapos itong depression na ito. pero hindi ko alam how to start :( actually, i am looking for someone to talk to but i always end up talking to myself. :(

Life has many things in store for you sis. Always see the big picture ahead of you in a positive way.
Hi sis clumsish!! Is this true??

@sis mhinechuu

Hello sis!! hmmm, almost a month na pala yung post mo. Well, you might be confused sometimes about making your decisions but always remember that it is part of the challenge.  ;) Ako rin naranasan ko yan... But if you tend to regret things, don't despair too much, just move on, and have the courage to try more options. ^_^

With regard of your concerns, I understand the struggles that you are experiencing right now. I've been there through alot like hell recently, akala ko end of the world ko na LOL, kasi ilang beses na nangyayari sakin to. I told myself that if I can't see atleast a string of light ahead of that dark path, I don't care if I give up... Pero nagkamali ako, kulang lang minsan ang tao sa pag analyze ng situation nila sa buhay, we like to fix it right away kasi diba... Ang kailangan lang dyan, we must have time for reflection... At yun nga, so far, I'm progressing and i just keep goin' on...  ^_^

If you're still bothered about your situation right now sis, there are two ways you could do: Either you seek medical help or you can ask for a counselling meeting with your spiritual adviser.  Much better if you'll have friends and your family supporting you at times like this.

And it's your FAITH IN HIM that matters. Always seek for His Guidance, just trust in Him and you might find the Miracle that you've been waiting for.. Cheer Up!! ^_^

sadly, sakin family they can't comprehend much, kaya it's me
who needed the adjustment, kaya nga sabi ng parish priest namin
acceptance, courage, and focus nalang while fulfilling their
dreams for me...

solve na solve ako while watching the Smallville S10E04...
Sigh... Nakakalungkot pero ganun talaga.

I just love my family so much kahit hindi kami nagkakaintindihan at maraming issues, ginagawa ko nalang kung ano gusto nila kung doon sila sasaya.
