I'll be having my appointment to OB by next week. And yes, on my last post i said i took my first pill on the second day of my period? May kaso ba pag ganun? Di ba allowance to take the pill is 1-5days of you period? According din yun sa instruction pamphlet na kasama sa pills mismo. I've read nga din sis na nag-aadjust ang body 1-3months sa specific pill kaya dapat hindi agad magpalit. Or hindi hiyang. Parang inulit ko lang sinabi mo. Hahaha!

may possibility, since nag take ka sa second day of your period, most likely  yung period mo next month will change

Hello everyone! I am basically new here and would like to ask if you could recommend to me any Ob-Gyne around Marikina area. My bf will be back in the Phils this summer and he hates using condoms, haha. So I'm planning to see the doctor at least by December so she can prescribe some pills I could take before the summer And oh, the pills will also serve a double purple of regularizing my monthly period. Thank you

Hi mga sis! Possible ba right after natin magstop magpills after ng mens natin mabubuntis ba tayo if we had intercourse tapos unprotected? Pcos kasi ako then.advised na.to stop taking..

what pills did you take? once you stopped taking the pill, there is a possibility, but still it depends on your body? on how long will it adjust from it.

Hi Sis! Me and my sister were diagnosed with PCOS last year. Since we have diabetes in the family, my sister and I were under Metformin and the doctor gave us Duphaston, but since I felt like I was gaining weight with Duphaston, I stopped taking it after a few days. haha. But I continued with Metformin, and my period was actually regularized. Yun nga lang, since I am in law school, the stress comes in pa rin, and since I stopped taking Metformin, my period stopped again. So far, last time I had my period was last August pa. And my bf will be back in the country in March or April, that's why I wanna see the doctor na rin to have myself checked and also to ask for prescription of pills which hopefully would suit me and won't cause weight gain. Kasi if I start gaining weight on it, I might ditch the BCP and ask the bf to wear condoms (which he absolutely hates, haha).

I already went to a new OB last Saturday who prescribe Cerazette. I plan to take the first pill tonight. Pero ngayon pa lang sumakit na ulo ko and feel nauseated while reading the pamphlet that came with the package, not because of the length but because of the common side effects: mood altered, decreased libido, headache, nausea, acne, breast pain, increased body weight. My gosh! lahat ng ayaw ko andun na, what else can i ask for?  Oh well, mas ayaw ko naman magbuntis ulit so go, go, go na 'to!

sis better ask your OB about this, Since the glucose tolerance may diminish during the use of oral contraceptives, diabetic patients should be kept under strict control. But for PCOS althea is the best  pill for it

Nausea, headache and breast tenderness may also be experienced during the initial months of treatment, but these are only temporary symptoms. but if symptom persists consult your OB

Althea
Contents: Cyproterone acetate, ethinyl estradiol.

Mechanism of Action:

Althea is a combined low-dose oral contraceptive pill with antiandrogenic properties. Each tablet contains cyproterone acetate, a progesterone with antiandrogenic and progestogenic properties and ethinyl estradiol, an estrogen.

Oral Contraceptive: Althea stops ovulation, thins the lining of the uterus and thickens the cervical mucus. In combination, these actions prevent pregnancy.

Special Precautions:

Caution on use if there is a history of clinical depression, gallbladder disease, sickle-cell disease or conditions influenced by fluid retention. It should be used with caution by those with varicose veins. It should also be used with caution by those with risk factor for cardiovascular disease eg, diabetes mellitus, smoking, obesity, hypertension or a family history of cardiovascular disorders.

Side Effects:

nausea, vomiting, chloasma (melasma) and other skin or hair changes, headache, water retention, slight weight change, breast tenderness and changes in libido. Menstrual irregularities eg, spotting, breakthrough bleeding or amenorrhea can occur during its use.

Althea and other Hormonal Contraceptives are "low-dose" (to reduce deadly side effects) which means that there is a lowered ability to prevent conception/fertilization or the meeting of the egg and sperm.  Those who use Pills...still get pregnant...and will have a baby for about a week...but this baby will not be able to implant in the "thin lining of the uterus" and will be aborted and killed.

Hi sis! I have a situation, i just finished my First cycle on the pill. So ang alam ko on my first day of menstration, i'll be taking the tablet again. Late ko lang nalaman na may withdrawal bleeding pala. So nung nagbleed ako ng 3rd day without the pill i took my first pill uli. Dapat pala 7days interval? Hindi na 1st day of mens? Pano gagawin ko dun sa nastart ko na pack? Discard ko nalang ba? Then is it ok na mag-start ako after the 7th day interval kahit nakainum ako ng isang pill on the 3rd day? :|

^^i agree. pills are no good. the best pa rin ang natural family planning. mas may thrill at mas safe. yan ang experience namin ng wife ko. just my 0.02

Hi sis!  yes I heard that pills can damage our ovaries if taken for a very long time.  My doctor suggested that we should stop taking pills once in awhile.  Because like any part of our body, we need a little bit of rest right?  So after a year of taking pills for example, we should stop taking muna like 3 months or so.  Then if you want to take again, take it again
