Just to assure everyone there are no safety issues on both Boeing and Airbus aircraft. If ever there are there will be notices that will be issued mismo by the manufacturers. As to the Qantas emergency landing in Singapore, it was the A380, the latest and biggest aircraft of Airbus. The incident is still being investigated so don't draw your conclusions yet. Main concern right now is the engine that was used. Every aircraft have different engines i.e. Rolls Royce, GE, etc.
