I am considering buying a stove/oven range. I checked out the ones at Abensons and really liked the Elba one, we have enough space for the larger version, with the 6 burners, gas on top but oven is electric. Does anyone have this? Any feedback on it? I think it's 50K last time I checked.

OR should I consider an induction stove top and get a built-in oven underneath? Do the induction stove tops consume a lot of electricity?

I used to bake cakes, cupcakes and other stuff on a turbo broiler (induction oven) nakakabake sya pero nung nakatry ako ng oven talaga, mas maganda ang result. Example sa cake minsan pumuputok yung ibabaw pag sa turbo lang. My oven with rotisserie cost 3k Kyowa brand. Sa sahig lang nakapatong pag ginagamit ko.

^Sis, bakit mas okay ang stand alone kesa sa built in?

Anyone here na meron built in range/hob saka nagpa install ng island range hood.  Baka naman pwede nyo share kung advisable ba to kesa conventional tapos anong magandang brand... thanks!

^imo, easier kasi if I plan to renovate my kitchen, I can move it elsewhere and wherever I want. Easier to bring it to the repair shop if ever. easier to clean kasi I can move it. Mine is Elba and my rangehood is Elba too.

FUJIDENZO gas stove - any feedback on this one?  it's the cheapest gas stove available in sm appliances.  according to the sales person, the gas stove is made in europe NOT china.

OK ba ang Union brand? May nakita ko mura lang sya, around 10k, is it worth it? Baka naman hindi tumagal ng one year? Has anyone tried using it? Kumusta naman?

We recently bought a pre-owned house. Yung kitchen niya has a space for a range hood. At present we only use the countertop stove and an exhaust fan sa kitchen area. Never used a rangehood before. I am thinking if this time we should get one na. I have a few concerns though and I'd appreciate the inputs of our sisters here:
1. The space for rangehood has a tube so I think that suits chimney-type hoods right? I checked online and they are out of my budget. Can we use other types of rangehood? The straight rectangular one that can be placed under a cabinet?
2. Will using a rangehood greatly affect my electrical bill? Or insignificant naman ang increase sa electrical consumption?
3. Is it hard to maintain? Magastos din ba to maintain?

The kitchen area has no window kasi so baka hindi kayanin ng exhaust fan lang ang heat/usok when cooking.

^there are 2 types of range hood sis: ducted and ductless. A ducted rangehood is capable of venting stale/odorous air outside of your home. this is the 'chimney' type. ductless rangehood naman filters the air and recirculates it back to your home. ducted rangehood is harder to install as it requires space and ventilation system leading outside of your home but this is the healthiest option as it completely rids your home of stale air, bad odor and cooking vapors. but if space is your dilemma, then opt for ductless which can be installed under the cabinet. and yes of course once the rangehood is on, it will jack up your electric bill. just ensure to clean the filter cover and if ductless, replace the charcoal filter every 6 months.

^That's true sis. Ours lasted for more more than 20 years.

Sadly the new releases are not as durable. For one the face panel (where the knobs are) do not have etched details, so the readings/settings are easily removed. Less than a year sa kin and with just regular cleaning almost erased na. Since our unit is still under warranty, I reported it. Ayun sa awa ng Diyos di pa nila napapalitan.  Also the black plastic handle for the rotisserie chipped so now that handle is completely useless. I'm also waiting for the replacement.

Performance wise - no problem.  At least there's after-sales support.

^Sis we are using a GE electric stove ok naman sa electric pero if you're not using a pressure cooker at magpapakulo ka lagi tataas bill nyo.  There was a month na sobrang lagi ulam namin buto-buto and beef nako tumaas bill namin kasi more than 2 hours kami nagpapakulo.
