Hi everyone! So happy that my application for NZ visa got approved! I lodged my application last Wed and received my passport back yesterday. So, it only took 3 working days (since Friday was a holiday).
Whew! I can now finalize my IT!

what are the usual questions during the interview? dun ako kinakabahan eh.. hehheh!! is this done over the phone only?

Is a medical cert also required?

^^I was not interviewed. Medical certificate is not required for less than 6 mos. visit.

Really looking forward to my trip to Auckland with my sister! Will be flying Manila-Sydney 12:15 am - 10:05 am via Cebu Pacific this Saturday, July 11 then connecting flight Sydney-Auckland 5:00 pm - 10:05pm via Jetstar on the same day. Our flight home is on the following Saturday, July 18 Auckland-Sydney 7:35 am - 9:15 am via Jetstar then connecting flight Sydney-Manila 11:35 am - 5:30 pm via Cebu Pacific. Unfortunately, we weren't able to make any fixed itinerary due to time constraints and honestly, I find it really difficult to make one because of the transportation system (both of us don't know how to drive). Anyway, no pressure. We just want to enjoy our stay there with no hassle. As long as I'm able to visit Hobbiton, then I'm good to go.

^ thanks sis @glacy_rein, sana maapprove ako come next year. Yun saken kasi hindi purely tour may kasamang apply for work na rin. Sa NZ na lang ako magpapaextend ng visit visa then apply for student visa afterwards.

Hi, sa mga na nakapag-nz tour na solo or couple:

- Can you give me a rough estimate how much ang budget or nagastos nyo? here or pm  .
- Also, any travel agency near Makati area to help sa tour at visa?

I'm new sa travel requiring visas, It's a dream lang to possibly consider this. Hobbiton lang ang major IT maybe nearby town experience lang like 2 weeks from an inexpensive hotel or inn + food for 2, anyone please  TIA!

^Visa is easy to do, no need for agency. Sa ticket ganun din antay kayo ng travel fairs kaso for this one kailangan may dummy ticket kayo for visa purposes saka day-to-day itinerary. Extra expense lang kasi ang agency eh.

Sa mga backpacker ka kung solo ka lang at gusto mo makatipid at kung kaya mong may ka-share, just look over google ang dami mo makikita. Ang Hobbiton malayo, dapat isa-isahin mo gusto mo makita like kung sama sama ba sila sa isang lugar o hiwa hiwalay.

NZ people are nice saka you'd recognize easily naman kung mga gangster nasa paligid. half day lang din ang Hobbiton, set your priorities sa gusto puntahan. Starting point mo yun.

^yes. In my case may ticket na kasi ako for Australia so need ko nalang is papuntang NZ. Since few agency lang ang nagrerelease ng ganito ang ginawa ko nagbayad nalang ako sa Air New Zealand ng Hold fare, automatically na macacancel ang booking within 3days pero wala namang kaso kasi nga Dummy Ticket and alam ko kahit galing agency eh nacacancel din. Mahalaga lang is mapakita mo na kaya ng bank account mo yung gagastusin mo hence dapat dapat ang Airline ticket. Upon checking may flights via Air NZ from manila tapos hold far is $30 hindi lang ako sure if USD ba or SGD to.

hi mga sis, i'm currently waiting for my visa to be picked up today..
im planning to stay there for at least 6-8 months.. my prob is the leave request letter that's indicated in my VL letter is only good for 1 month.. although my internal arrangment na kami ng manager ko that i can work from NZ.. will this be questioned? my expected date of departure fr the Philippines is october kasi and expected date of arrival is june 2016 na..

what are some of the tourists spots in new plymouth? where can i go surfing and bunjee jumping and sky diving? what are the musts see in new zealand?


i think, i really deserve this break talaga so i'm planning on extending my stay there..

^did you indicate your request or itinerary ng day by day? Very specific sila sa interview nila kung ano gagawin mo dun sis. I don't think bibigyan ka nila ng 6-8months visa if hindi working visa ang application mo?

^yes sis prepare kana. Kame nun complete documents and was asked almost the same set of questions with my sister. We presented less than a week of itinerary hence gave Mar 2015-June 2015 visa with condition of getting expired 1month after arrival. So we can only stay for a month upon arrival.

My phone interview from the embassy lasted for 12 minutes. Sobrang nakaka-stress buti na lang I know my itinerary by heart

yeye.. ok na my visa..=)  they gave me a shorter period though. 1 month lang.. kasi one month lang daw yung leave ko.. kaya lang my friend was denied...
 how soon can she re-apply for visa?

I love NZ too; just got back last week. Breathtaking sceneries and views, specially in Queenstown.

Must visit places: near Auckland - Hobbiton, Hamilton Gardens
Auckland: Sky City Tower (rotating restaurant), Devonport,
Queenstown: Arrowtown, Lake Hayes, Coronet Peak & Milford Sound
Christchurch: Arion Farms, Airforce Museum, Riccarton Bush, Farmers Market
