Schools in Antipolo

Hi Mommies!

Nag ikot kami sa 4 schools yesterday. Grade 1 na kasi yung son ko next year so naghahanap na. Here's a few info na i-share ko sa inyo.

Tuition fee is based on the current year and Grade 1 level. No books and uniform unless indicated.

Our Lady of Peace School (OLPS)
 - around 27k without books and uniform (current year)

Montessori Integrated School (MIS)
 - around 46k (current year)
 - books around 4k
 - unifrom depends on the size

La Salle College Antipolo
- Tuition Category (no books and uniform)(current year)
     Cat A - 60k
     Cat B - 51k
     Cat C - 43k
     Cat D - 34k

San Beda College
- around 66k (no books and uniform)(current year)

For Preschool I'd recommend Kingarten Camp Learning Center (KCLC). 
Dito nag-aaral ngayon son ko and I'm very impressed.  Late talker yun. We enrolled him sa summer program nung 3 years old siya.  That time di pa talaga siya nagsasalita ng phrases, as in words lang utal at bulol pa. So we decided to enrol him there.

Now he is in Senior Kinder. Madaldal na and knows how to read. Mas maayos pa niyang nai-express and thoughts nya in English kesa sa Tagalog.

The school directress (owner) is also a teacher and hands on sa bawat student nila. Magandang mag inquire kayo and look for her. Ma-eenlighten kayo on how progressive learning is and how they teach the kids.

^hi sis, are the mandarin classes in the curriculum or do you have to pay extra?

Sorry for the late reply sis... The mandarin classes are already included in the curriculum and in the tuition fees.

^so far, ok naman sila. It is actually a Science school and nagugulat talaga ako sa subjects ng mga anak ko. Yung 3 year old son ko na nursery ngayon, knows the parts of the leaf, tree, plant. Medyo madami silang Science subjects. And the teachers are transparent to tell the parents kung sang areas dapat mag improve ang mga anak nila. They also conduct regular meetings with the Parents.

Although, the school itself is not that sobrang ganda and not as big as OLPS, but, presentable naman. All rooms are air-conditioned.

^ilan sila sis sa class? my son will turn 7 next school year and current school nya walang grade school. torn ako between MISA and st clare...I've already inquired sa MISA parang nagandahan ako sa location nya at "ambiance." sa st clare be ok din surroundings? tuition fee range nga pala sis mga magkano?

^definitely mas maganda ang surroundings ng MISA, that I can assure 

Yung St. Clare kasi, separate yung "building" ng Montessori School (Pre-school and Elementary) and High School. The montessori school is a two-storey  building lang (kundi ako nagkakamali -- di pa kasi ako nakakaakyat sa itaas since sa ground floor lang naman yung mga kids ko  ).  While the High School, parang 4-storey sya. Yung gym/auditorium nila is nasa 5th floor kasi. It's located along Lawis Extension.  Dinadaanan ng jeep bound to Cubao/Sumulong.  Di ganun kaganda yung location nya, but, yung turo lang talaga yung habol namin dun  So far, I can see naman na sobrang madaming natutunan ang mga anak ko...

My 2 sons are in nursery and kinder. Mura lang ang tuition fee, less than 25k lang ata (sorry, wala kasi sa akin yung schedule of tuition fees kaya di kita masagot nung exact amount, but, I'll edit this post pag nakuha ko yung schedule  ), definitely, mas mura sa St. Clare vs OLPS (dun kasi nag nursery yung eldest son ko that's why I know).

I am not sure lang kung ilang pupils per section. Sa sections ng mga anak ko (both in the afternoon classes), kung di ako nagkakamali, less than 15 sila sa kinder, and less than 25 sa nursery.

My sons who are incoming grade 2 and grade 3 had their exams in benildo and lasalle.they passed their exams naman.
Here are the tuition fee rates

Parents are asked to submit a copy of their ITR/COE and a copy of their utility bills for the last 2 months. I have been scouting schools within the area also..so far we had our exam and interview at AA and Hedcen.. We have not decided where to send our daughter yet.

Hi,

We had our exam few weeks back. They gave my daughter yung standard entrance exam nila for 1st grader tapos they gave her the current grade 1 exam (3rd quarter, i think). Na perfect niya kasi yung first exam given so they wanted to check if pwede na siya sa grade2. Ayon at accelerated na siya sa Hedcen kung doon siya mag enroll. OK sa Hedcen kasi 15-25 students per class lang sila. Saka medyo advanced sila. Imagine chemistry in grade3?? But I like na ang PE nila is soccer. At nag aaral na rin ng parts of the heart, nervous system etc as early as grade 1. Also, mas feel ko ang security doon kasi na sa loob ng exclusive subdivision.

With AA naman.. medyo hindi sila masyadong organized. Hindi nila kami tinawagan to confirm our exam date. Sa hedcen pa namin nalaman kung kelan kami mag exam sa AA kasi yung sa admissions nila used to work at AA. And I had to call them a day before kasi they failed to mention the time. Exam started at 7:45am and it lasted for 3 hours, after niyan interview with my daughter and then interview with the parents. No results pa as of the moment. Sabi nila they will discuss pa the results. Sa kanila, regardless if genius pa ang anak mo but if hindi pa daw ready ang bata hindi nila ipapasok sa grade1. Wala din daw sa age yun. Cinoconsider daw nila ang readiness and number of years sa pre-school. So I was thinking na since 2 years lang ang anak ko sa pre-school baka hindi pa nila e grade1 at e k3 pa nila. Facility wise, maganda nga. Gusto din naman ng daughter ko dun kasi maganda daw ang canteen, hahaha 

Sa tuition naman, currently, Hedcen is at 71k not including miscellany. I don't know pa with AA.

My hubby went to La Salle for grade school and High school. teachers na daw yung mga dati niyang classmates doon. Super layo lang kasi ng school. 

We have until February para mag confirm sa Hedcen at magpa reserve ng slot. Hintayin din namin result ng sa AA.

Sis, may 1 year ka pa pala to prepare. Kasi 3years old Nursery na. Hindi kami nag try sa MISA. Si hubby medyo hindi pa kaya mag let go sa anak namin siguro nga kung pwede e home school ganon na ang gagawin    Yung school niya kasi ngayon sa loob ng village namin. Progressive school siya and I can say na nahasa siya doon. Good luck, sis! Sorry hindi ko masyado ma damihan ang reviews ko kasi 2 schools lang ang pinuntahan namin.

Hi Sis,

Sa Merry Bells Pre-School House. Nasa loob siya ng village. If I'm not mistaken they've been around for 20+years already. Advanced din sila kasi pumasok daughter ko dun k1, naalala ko 3rd qtr may subtraction na sila.

I'm iterested. Saang village? If ever pwede ba outsiders? Sana malapit lang sa amin para pwede ko din maconsider yung school.
