Ako naman i do not believe in that saying na kapag pinigilan mo ngayon dahil hindi ka ready e baka hindi na bigay sayo kapag gusto mo na.

For me, hindi ka paparusahan ni Lord dahil ginusto mo na mabigyan ng mas secured na buhay ang magiging anak mo. Kung hindi ka bigyan ng anak, it only means, not really for you. Ganoon lang yan and not because pinili mo na idelay.

You shouldn't let others dictate kung anong decision nyo when it comes to this matter.
This is for the couple's decision to make.

Having a baby is a blessing but having one is your choice as a couple  ;D  Don't let the society dictate what you should do.  Just remember that having a baby means that you have to be responsible parents.  Prepare for the expenses like diaper, milk, clothes and so much more.  Enjoy naman talaga, just be prepared.

big YES :D No one can ever be ready talaga for me. Same thing with pagbebaby, we know di pa sapat yung ipon namin pero when the time comes, alam naming makakagawa kami ng paraan para maging ok ang buhay ni baby at ng magiging family namin :D

Before kami magpakasal, very vocal na sya na gusto na nya magkababy while ako naman eh medyo hesitant pa kasi nga i feel like di pa kami ready, especially sa finances. Sabi nya, no one can ever be ready to be a parent at kung expenses lang din ang concern, eh alam nyang kayang gawan ng paraan. True enough, when I got pregnant lumobo gastos namin, check up, lab tests, even food kasi mas healthy na dapat, and syempre yung pag set aside ng pera for baby. Sabi nga ni husband, pag andun ka na daw sa point na yun, you'll be more creative para magampanan yung bago mong role as a parent effectively.

I'm not saying na just have a baby without plans. Siguro just like marriage, having a kid is also a leap of faith. Kahit gaano mo paghandaan, you will never be 100% ready. Nasasayo na talaga how you're going to handle it pag andun ka na mismo ss situation na yun.

That's true, You can never be 100% ready.

Yun nga lang, if you have the opportunity to save more and really prepare, hindi man 100%, e do your best to prepare nalang din.

Yung pagtanda natin, we need to prepare for it. :) Pangit naman kung pag tanda natin ay aasa pa tayo sa kanila, so it's like, you prepare to give them a good life and also para sa sarili mo, for retirement. :)

I just dont get it why some couples choose not to have kids right after marriage. Sometimes I wonder if this is just a reason of couples who cannot make a baby yet. But usually couples marry because they are ready to make and take care of a baby na.

^Hi Claireclaire757 :) I married my husband because we wanted to share our lives together,  not because we wanted to have kids together. There are just some people who make a conscious decision not to have kids, or maybe want to spend time together as a married couple before having kids to care for.

Unfortunately, Hubby and I aren't 100% with each other right now and sometimes we dont even act like a married couple (he doesnt confront me about stuff and instead tells his friends about it which irks me, laging nagsscroll ng facebook rather than talking, one sleeps ahead of the other, may mga small tampuhan, etc) kaya honestly di ko maisip na magkaanak with him with our situation being like this. Sort of because i want to be able to get out faster if ever man yun ang maging hantungan. Tama naman diba? I dont want kids to be caught in the middle.

^^hindi naman lahat gusto magkaanak agad pagkakasal. eto paniniwala namin. nagsimula kami ng kami lang in the end mag sisipagasawa mga anak namin kaya pag tanda kami lang din maiiwan mag asawa. kaya we spend tiem together muna. naniniwala din kami na marriage first. yung iba kasi sa anak sumesentro ang buhay, napapabayaan ang asawa.

I can answer too :) It is because we love each other and want to spend the rest of our lives together. We believe this is the foundation reason and having kids is just a plus (i.e. should not be the main reason to get married).

SavannahJane, tama yan.. A lot of wives kasi, they think having children can help solve their marital problems. Out of love for the future children, it is best to have a good environment.

we've also been married for almost 4 years now and everybody is asking if i'm already pregnant or when are we having a child. i would love to have a child already but i feel like my husband is not yet ready.

people asking me plus hubby not ready yet is depressing  :'( :'(

I'm Team Wag Na. I'm one of those women who believe that having children is optional.

Dati I feel annoyed that kailangan ko pa mag-explain why I don't have kids (8 years na ako married BTW)
Then I reached that point where they ask why and I just leave it at "I don't want kids".

I also appreciate his honesty kapag siya ang tinatanong.
He says it na walang ka-plastikan because he never pressured me into having kids. As in never naming talaga pinag-awayan, or even debate or discussion. LOL

Maybe for some but not for all.

My husband and I got married because we want to spend the rest of our lives together. Pero we wanted to have kahit isa lang.. and fortunately, we were blessed naman with one. :)

Well ako nasa gitna, but the biggest part here is the word respect. There are couples who want to have kids and they have. Couples who want kids but cannot have. Couples who can have kids but don't want to. Marriage is unity of two people who love each other and willing to spend the rest of their lives committed with each other through thick and thin. And nasa preference ng couple un if they want to have kids or not yet or no but we can't tell naman what will happen in the future. It's just that sana maintindihan ng iba na mind your own happiness at wag makialam sa decision ng iba.

Wala naman sa marriage contract ko na kailangan namin ng anak to make our marriage valid ah.  ???

See this is what annoys me: as if couples need to excuse themselves of their child-free situation to others.  ::) Eh ano naman if they "cannot make a baby yet"? As if they need to se excuse for some offense. Some naman are child-free by choice.

I'm annoyed because I experienced a my college professor questioning my choice of not having kids eh married na daw ako (newly wed ako noon). I wanted to get my degree but I want to commit myself to this man who loves me and whom I love very much. Take note, sa class niya ito pinagtatanong sa akin as if recitation ha. Siempre, I defended my choice sa class.

Then, she made me a sort of blind item pa sa ibang class nya ha. That because I was married eh I should take my husband's name and bear his child. I mean, WTF? SHOULD? Really, SHOULD?

And then I went back to my college after 5 years and asked me if I had kids na. And she made this face na disappointed or whatever face kasi nga I said ayoko ng kids.

I mean, hello, hindi naman judgement sa iba couples yung choice ko not to have kids. I really just don't want that kind of life for myself. So why judge us, couples who do not have children?

I mean, really, what is hard to get?
