Finally, I'm scheduled to go to India in November.  I'm excited to see beautiful places like Taj Mahal and experience their culture. 

I've started booking via Kuala Lumpur.  Sisses, from Kuala Lumpur, which airline is the best to take going to New Delhi?

Kakacheck ko lang ang airfare from kuala lumpur to new delhi..ang mamahal pa rin.

Can somebody help me where to book online?  or when is the best time to do it?  Thanks...

Crystalpenelope I am not familiar with the prices from KL to Delhi but I searched using skyscanner.com and put dates lang 14 Nov - 28 Nov, cheapest flight I saw was €370. Parang lahat one stop, Jet airways lang ang may direct flight from KL - Delhi. 

I think now is the best time to book, I normally book at least 3 months in advance lalo na pag malayuan talaga.

^ Just drink bottled water all the time. And no ice. We also sprayed mosquito repellent all the time, paranoid lang ako sa lamok. para kaseng ang dumi masyado.

And kung bibili ka tumawad ka kase antaas nila magpatong, ewan ko kung mas mataas kapag puti because my hubby is foreigner. Bumili kami indian shoes from Rupee 1,800 we got it for Rupee 300 or Rupee 350. sa bangketa lang kami bumili.

Don't be intimidated by them.

Taj Mahal is amazing. May mga magpipicture sa iyo doon na mga local para souvenir (mga picture na ipi-print agad). Hindi naman masyadong mahal ang patong. hehe. mabait din sila kase hinanap pa nga kami nung photographer kase inantay naming siya iprint ang picture tapos naglakad-lakad kami muna.

Enjoy.. India is totally different experience!

^ thank you.  but i'm having second thought now because of the recent news about India.

If I can't go there, maybe I will just go to Penang, malaysia.  But nothing is final yet.

^ sis whatever happens if you're not booking a tour, be with someone sana.. trust me I did it on my own and looking back, I find myself so stupid, mabait lang si Lord di ako natyempuhan as such and mababait yung mga nag assist sa akin..just don't risk it..sa bilyon na tao na andun without proper records etc, knock on wood wag sana pero pag may nangyari sayo, forget about getting justice and all, and yea all that in exchange of what, being adventurous and risk taker, di worth..just go with someone, usually kasi target kasi nila mga lone female tourists. lately kasi medyo exposed ako sa media nila kasi nga my hubby is indian and yung dad in law ko sa media din, though mumbai kami, pero parang mayat maya mayat maya, papagalitan ako sasabihin tingnan mo may narape na naman, wag na wag mo gagawin yung pinag gagagagawa mo nung single ka tapos yun nga pinoint out nila, na bilyon bilyon sila dun andaming walang records so kung yung mga local people di magawan ng proper justice, yung foreigner pa kaya..

if you are booking a flight,check via SG or BKK as well for direct flights. try Indigo, not sure if may direct ba to Delhi, lahat kasi now usually may stopover. When I booked mine before, I took air Asia from KL kaso baka binago na nila.. sa Delhi din ako nun

sis nocturnalgal, thank you ha.. actually I've decided na wag nang tumuloy sa India kahit na me susundo sa akin doon.. I just want to ensure for our safety..Maraming next time pa naman.

Since na-book ko na ang Kuala Lumpur, doon na ko..I will try to explore Penang this time,   because I've been to Kuala Lumpur once. 

Sayang lang kasi marami akong nabasa dito kung gaano kaganda ang Taj Mahal.  Well, maybe next time...At alam ko na dapat via Bangkok ang kukunin ko..Thanks...

kasado na ang VL, plane tickets, at train tickets for my 2-week India trip.

route ko MNL-BKK (katas ng piso fare) tas BKK-DEL (thru AirIndia, mejo maarte kasi sa creditcard yung IndiGo, sayang mas mura pa naman dun.)

ang concern ko talaga yung pagdala ng paracetamol at mga anti-LBM sa India. afraid na ko mapagkamalang drug mule ulit

riandrew we brought loads of tablets sa india (paracetamol, LBM meron pa nga tablet for malaria) ok lang naman. kapag tablets na nasa original packaging im sure ok lang.

back from my India trip. very interesting ang country na to. there's nothing like it.

○ Indira Ghandi International Airport is amazing! While most people talk about India being dirty and chaotic, this airport stands as their pride. Visa on Arrival is available sa Delhi.

○ Varanasi is definitely the highlight of my trip. The experience is amazing and there's nothing like it. The holy river of Ganges is where the locals dump the cremated bodies, wash clothes, take a bath, pray, and everything else! Despite being polluted, all Hindu wish to die around this river in belief reaching heaven. If you want to experience the rich culture of India, go to Varanasi.

○ Udaipur is a lovely city, far different beauty from Varanasi. This is my 2nd favorite spot, particularly the the Jain Temple in Ranakpur. The marble carvings are so great! This is much better than the interiors of Taj Mahal.

○ Agra is lucky to have the Taj Mahal in it. Hehe There's not much to see except this world famous landmark. Hehe kidding! But I must admit I got breathless the first time I saw this. Entrance fee for foreigners is 750 rupees. Local fee is 5. Some locals will ask to have a picture with you. To stop this, tell them you charge 10 rupees per photo. Haha

○ Indian Railways is so efficient. Tourists will have no problems traveling from the northern to the southern part of this country. Booking your train tickets is a pain though.

Lots of scams happen at the train stations. Basta wag lang maging t_anga at uto-uto, and you will be fine.

i checked the Best Available Rates sa websites ng The Taj and Oberoi, rate per night is around 11K+ rupees, so around 8K+ pesos. room for 2pax. keri na rin. akala ko kasi nung una mga 20K+, hehe.

I will be traveling to Mumbai, India sometime Jan-Feb. Any suggestions how I can spend my weekends? I wish to know what malls are nice and worth visiting. I will only be staying within Mumbai.

*what type of bag do you suggest that we bring?  backpacks?  i am assuming that light stroller suitcase is not advisable if you will be going backpacker style?

*what is the best shoes to wear?  rubbershoes?  i am hesitant to wear slippers/sandals because of all the dust.

*regarding visa application here in the philippines, is it really a must that you already book your return flight to the philippines?  i have no fixed itinerary and i just want to play it by ear.  rebooking is quite expensive

hi anna yes backpack lubak lubak some of their roads at madumi. backpacking - will you be in trains? - if yes another reason for backpack.  same goes with shoes not flipflops or sandals. closed shoes. where are you going? sa taj mahal pwede na flipflops malinis naman doon and if you will book a tour nasa bus naman.

Anong sights and tourist spots ang malapit sa Bangalore? My friend is inviting me to visit February 2015. Punta raw kami ng Hampi. Nakita ko sa Google Images, okay naman yung Hampi. Pero medyo nanghihinayang lang ako kasi di kami makakapunta ng Jaipur or Taj Mahal, ang layo kasi ng Bangalore and limited lang ang time ko doon. Iniisip ko kung sulit ba na Bangalore and Hampi lang mapuntahan ko.

Just arrived  from  a 9-day Golden Triangle  tour  (Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur) plus  a one-day sidetrip to Ajmer and 2  one-day layovers in KL.  Prepare to be amazed.   Tree-lined  Delhi is lovely,  there is nothing like  Taj Mahal and  we had the most fun in Jaipur.
