by the way is Delhi weather in December same lang with HK or colder? Do you need winter clothes ba or just a hooded sweater and light jacket will do? No mittens, gloves or earmuffs?

parang ang hirap mag register sa cleartrip.com im thinking of joining a tour nlng for 15 days that include Golden Triangle w/ Udaipur, Jaisalmer and Varanasi. Anyone here better option ba siya instead of a DIY considering I will be traveling with 2 seniors and a 2yr old baby. Andami namin baka planning a trip by my own will pose problems unlike package plantsado na lahat.

^Nung pumunta kme last year December, it was 8C in Delhi. It gets colder towards the desert.

  Ang ginawa namin pagdating dun sa city, humanap kme ng taxi cab then we 
  rented it for the whole day. Nag search lang kme kung saan namin gusto pumunta sa isang city then   
  move na sa next city. Para samin, it's more expensive to be part of a tour. In India, we'd rather spend on a good hotel that is safe rather than joining a tour na hindi namin gusto yung pupuntahan. Since I had more time to google places that we wanna go to, mas ginawa namin yung DIY.

did you buy your train tickets online? nahihirapan ako mag register especially with the mobile number.
 im thinking of DIY too but baka mas mahirap lalo during train transfers
since my seniors and baby ako kasama. and during the tour gusto ko din my tour guide.
speaking of hotels , what hotels did you stay in? misleading din pala mga hotels dun ano kasi my category ng 5 star
but you have to emphasize the luxury or deluxe ba yun para siguradong quality hotels yun.

^ better get a tour guide especially sa taj, you'll appreciate the place more..are you sure you want to take your 2 year old kid dun?

hi nocturnalgal..we will all be going.wala ako maiwanan. do you think it will pose a problem even if package tour kukunin namin?will it be the weather or dahil sa place and food? would love to know your thoughts.

If with seniors and a kid parang mas okay ata ang tour sa India kase hassle pag hindi mo alam ang mga pupuntahan mo. Dadalhin ka lang sa isang lugar, ang mahal ng singil at kung saan-saan dadaan, ang daming manloloko. pag papahatid ka sa hotel, sabi sa lonelyplanet, sasabihin nila 'ay sunog na hotel na yan' hindi ko na-imagine na totoo. pero na-experience talaga namin, ginagawa kaming t****. sunog na daw hotel namin tapos dinala kami sa travel agent doon na lang daw kami book ulit. hay stressful. gusto ko sabihin 'we're not stupid'! kaso kakatakot naman mang-away.

parang ang dami kong reklamo sa india. hehe.. pero in fairness, madami naman din tao na mababait at matulungin. hassle lang sa mga cab at pedicab drivers - not all din naman, madami-dami lang kaming experience na obvious na super mahal ang singil sa amin.

sa hostel din mababait tao, tinuturo sa hubby ko kung san bibili ng beer na malamig. minsan nga sila pa bumibili for us.

l_neverph, i love India as in. Pero If I had a 2 year old child even if I love to travel, I wont take him/her
to India till about 10 years of age. Para medyo malakas na immune system. Same as, hindi ko dadalin
sa Divisoria or Quiapo til about 10 years old. lol

@ l_neveph I've been to different cities of India a number of times kaso with kid parang ang hirap lang. May I know when nyo balak ulet punta? I already went there yung malamig na season sa delhi/rajasthan/amritsar area, mga Jan-Feb kahit malamig, since maalikabok kasi, sinipon talaga ako and pinimples mabuti, nakaprivate car pa ako magtravel nun ha na closed windows, di ako sumakay sa tuktuk nila that time since I was on my own. Maalikabok lang kasi talaga so if you are sure you can manage for you and your kid baka kayanin naman. I mean di naman sa nag iinarte or what parepareho naman tayo na 3rd world country pero iba kasi yung alikabok dun sa alikabok sa pinas baka lang di kayanin nung baby mo. Don't go during monsoon season, till October-November pa, andun husband ko now and everyday non-stop rain daw, baha baha yung mga kalsada.

Go around late Jan - Feb habang medyo malamig para di mahirap, I cannot imagine travelling there any other month apart from Dec-Feb kasi magkaaway na kami ng alikabok sabay mainit pa. Pag andun ako, 2-3 times ako naliligo pag nalabas bahay kasi ewan ko, baka naman maarte lang ako pero mabilis talaga ako naaallergy ng sipon sa alikabok nila. Yung water issue naman, may mineral water naman so I don't think that will be an issue.

@I_neveph: sorry for the late reply. sa clear trip ako nagpabook ng 3 train tickets but we we're not able to use the 2 tickets kase sobrang delayed na yung train so nag taxi nalang kme. mura lang naman yung ticket so we decided to let it go kesa ma stranded kme and hindi kme matuloy sa hotels na napa book na namin.
before we travel kase, nagbasa ako ng history ng pupuntahan namin. i love reading a lot, especially pag layover ng ilang oras din kaya hindi na kme nag hire ng tourist guide. binasa ko lang yung mga puputahan namin and during layover or sa india, we speak to locals, and they do speak english fluently especially pag tourist din sila. one time nag dinner kme sa desert and there were a lot of indians (tourists) as well, so nakipagkwentuhan kme and madami naman silang kwento tungkol sa bansa nila.
sa Agra, nag stay kme sa ITC MUghal. paghahanap ka ng hotel, try to look for reviews so that you would know what to expect. For us, hotels in india are part of their culture. Very extravagant, and yet reasonably priced kung icocompare mo sa pilipinas:)

Ive used makemytrip.com for hotels, tours, trains and bus bookings.. Minsan you get good deals like sa goa nakuha namin 3 yrs ago : 7500 rupees for a 4d/3n accomodation, transfers, tours and buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner.. It was super sulit..

Thank you all for all the inputs about bringing my baby in india. i really appreciate all you shared,
and I have decided to bring mine. Again it will be a package tour from Delhi-aGRA- Jaipur-Jaislamer and Udaipur.
Im crossing my fingers that everything will run smoothly, my parents, hubby and all my siblings will be
there too so I have enough support system. And December naman so weather is fine by then. Anyway I will share
my trip to you guys pag nangyari na. Cant wait for my Christmas holiday there.

Enjoy kayo sis Lneveph! Kaya naman siguro, just lower your expectations na lang on amenities like restrooms for your diaper changing etc. It isn't that bad but definitely it is not like PH. Im sure you'll have fun there, very rich in culture..I have been to the places you have booked. Beautiful cities I must say.

^ chokni dhani sa jaipur ba to? kasi ang intindi ko sa chokni dhani para syang small area na summarised version ng culture of that area, eto bayung 6pm onwards bukas? parang may mga booths sya sa loob tapos may mga nasayaw, puppet show, pwede mag camel ride, palm reading tapos may mga native products na tinitinda..free food na din, tipong sa claypot ka kakain ng dal, etc using your hands, cross legs. haha, masaya din naman since whatever you'll see there is not in PH, so if you have time for it, do drop by, 1.5-2 hours lang kaya na yun..I mean again, not sure if yung nasa Jaipur ba yang tinutukoy mo ha..
