hay naku mga sisses, mahal din ang pamasahe sa south korea kung di ka mag-aavail ng mga promo ng mga airlines...pero pag nandun ka na sa south korea, di na gnaun ka-mahal...yung accomodation lang talaga...

parang katulad sa india...medyo mahal din yung airfare nila kung PAL ang gagamitin, or kahit hinde PAL...

and pareho tayo sis bare_foot, kami din, super kuripot, kung napansin mo yung mga musings ko dito sa mga foreign lands, hay naku...too the max ang pagiging kuripot namin, kung pwede siyang lakarin, eh lalakarin namin...:-) pero mukhang di na pwede yan kung mga east asian and south asian countries ang pupuntahan...

yung isa kong friend, ang swerte niya, kasi may friend siya na nagwo-work yung hubby sa isang international hotel sa india, kaya nakatira siya sa bahay nun...and may sarili silang car para iikot siya...ang sabi nga niya sa akin, one year planning ang ginawa niya, sinabi nga niya rin sa akin kung anong tamang time para mag-booked ka...and ofcourse, need vaccinations pa kung pupunta ka sa india...

^sis yby2476 when is the right time to book? and anong vaccinations yan? help! wala akong alam na may ganyan pang ka-ekekan

haha sis ako din lakad din ang isa sa mga kapraningan ko. if you remember sa vietnam thread sabi ko nilakad lang namin yung buong city tour. the only time we took a taxi was when we were going back to the hotel na after... pero tama ka mukhang di pwede ang lakad-lakad dito sa india.

teka sis, tanungin ko sa kanya...sa sobrang dami kong gustong puntahan, nalilito na rin ako...pero regarding vaccinations, magpa-vaccinate ka nang yung mga malaria, tb, yung mga ganun...kasi 3rd world country ang india, talamak ang di malinis na lugar...so required talagang magpa-vaccinate, for precaution lang naman...

Pero sis, I've been there 2x and I didn't need to get those vaccines. Pero kasi siguro may Hepa shots ako. What I recall lang is that super malamok at night, when we were watching the show at the Red Fort. As in citronella spray didn't work -- we had to use the one with deet (na banned na yata ngayon). But those were ordinary mosquitos. Di naman malaria mosquitos.

I suggest the latest health travel advisory be checked before travelling to any country.

usually for countries like africa lang required ang vaccination. India is no different from Pinas (sadly)

oo nga sis 3rd world nga tayo...kaya nga yung mga galing sa states and yung mga canadians, or rather yung mga pinsan ko kasi, pag pumupunta dito sa pinas, nagpapa-shots sila...and yes, africa is required talagang magpa-vaccinate ka...pero usually india too...kailangan...nung pumunta nga din kami ng cambodia and vietnam, nagdala kami ng mga panangga ng lamok...mahirap na kasi...for pre-caution lang naman...:-)

alala ko nga din, yung friend ko at yung brother ko before when they went to indonesia, nagpa-shots din sila, kahit 1 month lnag sila nag-stay...mahirap na...:-)

am looking for lonely planet india. kahit na sabi ni hubby dec next year pa ang most probable trip namin to india. want to read up as much as possible about it na. wala naman sa natl. will go to fully booked sa weekend to look for it.

We visited India last month, incentive tour namin dito sa office. When we first heard that our supposed to be trip to Egypt will be replaced with India, nanlupaypay kami as in.. hehe, wala na nga ko planong sumama kasi nawala ang excitement ko kasi di ko feel ang India kasi mabaho daw, panget, etc etc. Well, to make to story short, napilit pa rin akong sumama - for me daw to see and tsaka na lang daw ako mag comment after seeing the place. Sa airport palang namangha na ko, ang ganda ng airport nila! walang sinabi ang NAIA natin.. shempre napahiya na ko sa sarili ko, lalo nung nakita ko yung mga places of interest sa Golden triangle (jaipur, agra and delhi) lalong lalo ang TAJ MAHAL.. nakakahanga talaga.. as in.. I was temporary speechless nung unang masilayan ko ang Taj Mahal.. totoong nakakapanindig ng balahibo..

Like any other places, may lugar na mabaho talaga at marumi pero hindi naman the whole of India eh ganun na. Wala rin namang masamang nangyari smin dun, grabe lang sila makatingin sa legs ng kasama naming napahakahilig mag shorts hehe.

Itinira kami ni boss sa ok na ok na hotels ( thanks boss!

)para sigurado daw ang safety namin specially sa food at water - sheraton new delhi, le meridien jaipur, mtc mughal agra. Na appreciate ko yun kasi pagkain lang naman talaga ang di ko nakasundo sa INDIA. I suggest, invest on good hotels na rin para sure.

RE: vaccination, wala sa aming nagpa vaccine when we go there.. nakauwi naman kaming lahat na walang kagat ng lamok

I enjoy our trip so much - one of the best place i've seen, I wasn't expecting na maganda naman pala sa india, it actually reach beyond my expectations and I'm sure ta tumbling ako ng bonggang bongga sa pag sisisi kung di ako sumama at nakita ko how nice theyre photos are - buti nalang nag papilit ako hehe

We'll visit blue city in Jodhpur daw next time - at subukan naman daw naming mag train to the provinces para malurkey kami ng todo todo hehe..

We're planning a trip to India. Mga March next year sana. My second time and my fiance's first. Excited na ako at least may kasama na akong kukuha ng pictures. Gawd I love this country. And now that the rupee is sooooo low (USD- INR= 51) ang sarap mag tour dito!!

agree with you fairlytink, full carpeted ang Indira Ghandi International Airport, malinis, mabango etc. Mukang dirty toilet ang NAIA. I took a picture of my arm when I had goosebumps upon seeing the Taj. Iba siya talaga.

I love this thread! Seeing the Taj Mahal is on my bucket list, and I want to cross it off by 2012.

This is my first time to research about our trip, I have so many questions pa. If I want to see the Taj Mahal, where's my point of entry? And if I want to do the Golden Triangle, ilang days i-allot? And where do we exit?

I hope someone can answer these for me! Na-excite naman ako dahil sa threaed na to.

I'll definitely be a frequent visitor here.

^I'm still alive and I traveled alone. They just really stare at you, tingnan mo lang din sila sa mata and they will stop looking hehe.

DEA point of entry is DEL (Indira Ghandi International Airport) from Delhi you can take rent a cab to Agra where the Taj is but its cheaper to take the trains... parang 800rupee lang 3 hour train ride just make sure its the first class Bhopal Shbapti (ahhh basta parang ganyan ang spelling). Research on wiki travel it helped me a lot on traveling alone.

yes may visa on arrival to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata airports. Pero di yata available ang visa on arrival if ang entry mo ay Ahmedabad airport kaya need ng visa
