if you're going to india i suggest na i-cover nyo ang Golden Triangle of India which is Delhi, Agra( Taj) and Jaipur. puro by land lang ang mga ito. kung may time kayo fly na rin kayo sa bombay.

interesting pumunta sa india and it's definitely an ADVENTURE. go there with friends or family para enjoy.

sa hotels meron naman sa concierge na mga day tour packages.

go there pag taglamig. i can compare their season sa LA. sobrang init kasi sa summer. i suggest na you invest in a nice hotel kasi mainit at maalikabok sa labas.

go to the markets like Sarojini Nagar and Janpath. Janpath has a lot of money changers and souvenirs and clothes as well. sa Sarojini naman madaming clothes. sa india kasi maraming clothes factory kasi cheap labor diba. kaya makikita mo sa sarojini ang mga gap, zara, h&m, roxy, mango, topshop and lots more. pero you have to check your merchandise kasi ang mga nandon e malamang reject sa quality control. and don't forget to HAGGLE. magstart kayo half the price and walk away pag ayaw nila sa price mo. hahabulin ka nila.

ingat din don kasi medyo parang manloloko ang mga indians. pag sumakay ka sa tuktuk nila e ang dami-daming pasikut-sikot at dadalhin ka sa souvenir shop bago ka makarating sa destination mo. hay naku nakikipag-away talaga kami doon kasi feeling nila tourist na walang alam kami e pabalik-balik na kami sa india. alam na namin tactics nila.
sa mga shops pagnagtanong ka ng how much, hala papapasukin ka na sa shop at ilalatag na ang lahat ng produkto hanggang sa parang trap ka na at mauuto ka nang bumili.

kunin nyo na ang hotel na may buffet breakfast kasi laking tulong yon para sa maseselan. sa hotel kasi at least international cuisine. puro vegetarian kasi sa labas and malakas ang amoy ng spices and medyo hindi mo alam kung ano malinis na restaurant.

My friends and I will be visiting India but Southern Part of India  around Tiruchuppali (tama ba spelling). Anyway...total of 10 days kami dun.

- how much yung mga hotels and what will be the budget pag 10 days trip...
- how about the food around magkano? transpo...

sorry for asking... I dont know what to expect in India... nag ready na kasi ako ng budget and expenses ko eh

Parang nabasa ko na by January 2011, Tourist Visa On-Arrival na ang Pinoys sa India. Not sure.

Gusto ko din ang Taj Mahal. Super love ko yung love story behind it.

woohoo! visa on arrival na ang India! pero bakit ganun? u have to pay US$60 for your visa. hmmmmm, indian nga naman PAL will start flying direct starting March 27. I wonder when I can visit India again

@mooncake: eto napadaan na ulit I like Pakistan more coz it's cleaner, food tastes better, more good looking people hehe coz Afghani peeps are there too. i find them more interesting lang. their express roads are wider, clean & with meter reading machines pa ha (i dunno how it's called though). I felt safe travelling from Lahore to Islamabad even when we were only riding a small car. travelling from Delhi to Jaipur (in a small car) made me feel unsafe & i couldn't sleep coz their road is small, bigger pa nga ang SLEX natin eh, parang 3 lanes lang then they don't have a truck ban, plus trikes & motorcycles on the road all the time!!! nakakaloka! not to mention those goats, cows that would just feel like parading on the road & super ingay din! honks here & there!

both countries are a must to visit! it's just difficult to acquire a Pakistani visa & u have to wear prescribed clothing para di ka pagtinginan ng mga tao, less attraction. lam mo na, Pakistan as they say is a "terrorist country" which I greatly DISAGREE!

for place hotel to stay, hmmmm... Oberoi Hotel is a first choice. super expensive nga lang I love their 360 degree resto. used to dine in there when there were  special occasions. that's also where I met & dined with Richard Gere too (medyo long story si Richard Gere, next time na lang ang chika)

a must to visit once in India -- TAJ MAHAL! super nice place, you'll fall inlove all over again make sure u have you special someone with u

@mooncake: both countries are rich in culture so I can't say which has more attractions. For starters, visit India first before braving to visit Pakistan. Mahirap kasi makakuha ng visa papunta dito. Their embassy in makati asks a lot of docs while it's a bit easier to acquire Pakistani visa in India provided you're a resident there (medyo palakasan na rin if u know anybody). Now is the perfect time to visit India kasi spring season na kaya Di mashadong mainit.

Just came back from Mumbai...and I  must say it was a very enriching experience...a humbling one for me..especially when we went to Dharavi...amazed by the tolerance of the people living there...smiling and saying hello everytime they see tourists....

Kasi ako mag-aapply pa lang for visa (tourist) next week, tapos 3 days daw ang processing period.

Next next week, punta ulit ako ng India. Pangalawang beses ko na pumunta pero wala man lang ako nakita. Ni hindi man lang ako makakasakay ng elephant waaaah

PAL has now direct flights to New Delhi. just got a tweet from them. this is nice.

i went to India alone last oct 2010. hahaha adventure. What i like about india is mura kasi parang pinas prices lang. I have a number of my tour guide na naging friend ko narin. 2 of my other friends also contacted him and he took good care of them. I trust him very much kasi ako nga nung mag isa ako he protected me eh he could have done otherwise.


upon entry na nga yan India. =) yipee.


sis empress, I'm amazed by your observations about pakistanis. Ang baho kasi talaga ng Lahore flight i used to operate when i was a flight attendant in the Middle east. For me mas ok ang smell ng Indians (though amoy curry and cumin). and mas bastos sa ang pakistanis than Indians. But i guess serving them onboard is different from visiting their country.

Hello guys na well oriented sa India especially the Northern part..Kasi my trip is centered lang on manali-ladakh, how long will it take ba guys to go from delhi-manali and manali-ladakh..
kasi my plan is this, from Delhi fly ako to manali and from manali-Ladakh maybe join a tour group para less hassle and by land lang siya dapat..So how many days should i allot for this? If i opt for a tour package maybe you know any tour agencies from India?

Also are there any flights that go from Leh to Kathmandu or balik na naman ako to Delhi for this? Estimated cost for this?
Sorry for too much questions ha, nahihirapan ako magplan kasi for this.Unlike the golden triangle tour na andaming options dito..
