sadly, my dangerous choco cake was a disaster.  masyadong matigas and walang lasa.  i wonder what went wrong...

im not sure about sa walang lasa pero matigas.. probably over cooked it. if you cooked it for 5 minutes, try mo 3 minutes next time or better yet, 1 minute then balik mo nalang pag hindi pa luto...

I tried din this before and ok naman sya yun nga lang pag masyado na lumamig, tumitigas sya talaga... I guess it's not for mass production (i was hoping I could use the recipe for profit hahaha) for personal consumption lang [textspeak!]  :)

I also recently tried and been enjoying how to cook, actually, bake most of the time  :) Nakaka-relieve ng stress  :) I get recipes from the internet, cooking magazines, recipe books.  I record my adventures and misadventures in my blog http://undomesticatedhappiness.blogspot.com/  Recently, I've been trying pinoy recipes.  Mostly baked goodies, but I want to try mga no bake deserts din like banana cream pie with no-bake crust, ice cream, etc.  Mukhang okay mga recipes na na-share dito sa thread  :)  I will try them next time!  ;)

Hmmm this looks interesting. But we don't have Graham crackers here in Australia -- I wonder what's a suitable replacement?

Sisses, sa mga gagawa ng no bake cheescake. Tip ko lang dont use yung magnolia cream cheese.
Kasi for me pang spread lang siya. I always use yung Heritage cream cheese pero one time out of
stock sa grocery so I decided to used yung Magnolia. I was not satisfied, kahit sa pag bebeat pa lang
ang hirap nyang gawing creamy w/out lumps. So hindi maganda outcome. Buo-buo [textspeak!] cream cheese
and hindi kalat yung lasa ng cream cheese.

sis miming, I agree sa observation mo.  I used the same brand in making cream cheese frosting, hindi sya okay.

Kasi what I did was I use electric mixer sa cream cheese, powder sugar then add the dissolved gelatin then in another bowl I mix the cream until fluffy then combine it with the cream cheese mixture then I use electric mixer again. tama ba yun?  Okay naman yung kinalabasan kaya lang parang feel ko hindi siya solid parang kapag kinain puro bubbles.

my own version of REFRIGERATED MANGO CHEESECAKE

10 graham crackers
2 tbsp butter (softened)
200 ml condensed milk
125g cream cheese  (i prefer philadephia brand)
mango juice
mango (cut into square)

=put the graham in plastic bag, crushed until powdery.

=place the crushed graham into your lined bowl or serving dish, mix the softend butter with the crushed. bale ito na yung crust mo, have it chill for about 15-20 mins.

=in the bowl, mix mo lang yung condensed milk, cream cheese until smooth and then add mo yung mango juice tanchahin mo lang yung lagay mo wag masyadong marami, hanggang sa maging smooth lang siya then add mo na yung mango squared. mix again.

=take out the chilled crust and spread the cream cheese mixture on top.

=chill and served  ;D

Got this from carnation's website. I've already tried it and it's super yummy :) You can use graham crackers for the digestive biscuits.

Ingredients

Base:

    100g (3½oz) butter, melted
    250g (9oz) digestive biscuits

Filling:

    100g (3½oz) butter
100g (3½oz) dark brown soft sugar
    397g can Carnation Condensed Milk

Topping:

    4 small bananas
300ml carton double cream, lightly whipped
    grated chocolate

You will also need:

    20cm (8”) loose-bottomed cake tin, greased

To make the base, process the biscuits until crushed. Stir in the melted butter. Press the mixture into the base and 4cm (1½") up the sides of the tin. Chill the base while you make the filling.

To make the filling: place the butter and sugar into a non-stick saucepan over a low heat, stirring until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves. Add the condensed milk and bring gently to the boil, stirring continuously. When the caramel has started to boil, remove from the heat and pour over the biscuit base. Cool, and then leave to chill for about 1 hour, until firm.

To serve, remove the pie from the tin and place on a serving plate. Slice the bananas, fold half of them into the softly whipped cream and spoon over the caramel base. Decorate with the remaining bananas and finish with the grated chocolate.
