Skin Asthma treatment

my daughter has skin asthma. we just use physiogel cream and it does wonders for her skin. when she was born, ang pangit ng skin nya. now, her skin is very soft and supple. it took a long time before we knew she had this condition because i thought that she was just naturally mapula dahil new born, but on our second visit to our pedia, her ears got darker which was alarming. the pedia's diagnosis was atopic dermatitis. so she recommended to give my daughter cetirizine drops, to bathe her using physiogel cleanser, and to use the cream all over the body.

my son naman is asthmatic. his face is dry due to his meds, and so we also use physiogel.

I have skin asthma.  From time to time, my skin flares up on the same spots from years ago.  That's why up until now I still put on Physiogel Lotion.  Been using it for 4 years to keep my skin asthma at bay.

my 6 month old daughter has skin asthma din.. nung una akala namin yung normal na rashes lang na lumalabas kapag newborn pero it turned out na hindi pala ganon. pabalik balik din yung kanya. minsan nga hindi ko na alam ano problema.. naka AC sya 24 hours.. malinis ang buong bahay pati AC palaging pinapalinis.. all her things malinis din lalo na clothes. at sobrang once in a blue moon lang sya ilabas kapag lang check up nya.

Physiogel products have been our life saver talaga! our pedia gave us a lot of creams na may steroids (safe naman daw) like elica, travocort, betnovate and cutivate pero pabalik balik talaga e.. i'll be trying mustela soon!

Try Stelaker cream by Mustela...it works wonders! pwede sa adult,pwede sa baby pwede kahit anong area ng skin including face.My baby has mild case at palaging sa inner elbows nia ang flare up.Hindi nga naman maganda laging hydrocortisone cream based kasi steroids pa din yun eh.

Hi sis, I agree with sis ads83, yun skin asthma ni baby started to pop out nun 1 month old pa lang sha, nakakaawa kasi pati sa face nya me rashes , nagpa konsulta kami sa derma before, she recommended cutivate na i apply sa affected areas na sobrang nipis lang ng pagpahid kasi matapang sha tas alalay lang nag pag apply kasi di sha pwede gamitin matagal pinaka matagal na siguro yung 1 week...+ yung physiogel 3x a day, lalo na pag sobrang init at lamig, nakaka triger din kasi yung panahon sa paglabas ng mga rashes... sobrang mild yung physiogel kaya pwede i aply sa face ni baby para mamoisturize at maiwasan yung paglabas ng mga rashes

He's already 5 mos. now at dami na nyang natry na steroidal creams, antihistamines, etc from 3 diff. doctors. Nag take na rin sya antibiotic recently for infected blisters/ wounds due to constant scratching. He's using physiogel cream for 3 days now at mukhang effective naman. Sana mahiyang na sya dito... Try ko ring pagamit sa kanya dove white/ unscented soap pagkaubos ng oilatum..

ako sis, pag pinahiran ko baby nun cutivate, mabilis naman mawala...pag me nakita na kasi akong rashes sa face nya, nilalagyan ko nakagad, para di lumala...so konti lang iaapply ko kasi maliit pa lang yung area na meron... Im using dove extra sensitive soap para ke baby, ok naman..actually pag nililiguan ko sha, parang pa baby pa din yung way ko, inuuna ko ulo, and i make sure na di madidikitan ng shampoo yung face and body nya kasi nagkakabutlig butlig kagad, tas magkaka rashes na...so pag ok na yung head saka ko sha papa upuin or tayo para apply soap sa body...

actually kahit sa damit, ako naglalaba, im using perla para mild din...saka walang fabcon... para iwas rashes..

by the way my daughter is 1.8 yrs old na...and sis di na sha kagaya dati na sobrang bilis magkarashes...minsan nalang... lalo na sa face...

hi sis, when my daughter was around mga 3 to 9 month old ang gamit kong shampoo sa kanya yung nirecommend nun pedia derma SEBAMED - anti dandruff shampoo kulay white yung bottle nya, flaky kasi yung head nya, parang "langib" (tama ba term ko?), dun ko sha nabili sa mismong pediaderma available na sa clinic nya...pero siguro meron din sa mga mercury outlets... minsan mismong dove extra sensitive din ginagamit ko sa ulo nya (nun wala ng flakes)...natakot kasi ako na baka di nya mahiyangan pag shampoo na scented kasi nga sensitive skin nya....tas kahit soap gamit ko sa ulo nga, malambot naman yung hair nya so ok naman ....

tas nun mga 1.2 yr old na sya...i started using baby shampoo ng j&j para mabango (lahat nalang kasi ng gamit nya walang amoy).. lumalaki na  kasi si baby at gusto ko syempre na mabango pa din head/hair nya kahit laro na ng laro.. yun nga lang di ko dinidikit sa face and body nya para iwas rashes...  so far di naman sha nagkaka flakes na now...

Hi, mga sis. You can try the Aveeno line for any type of itching. I've had eczema for the past 4yrs. Na-try ko nang magpa-derma at magconsult sa doctor, wala talaga. It keeps coming back. Tapos na-discover ko yung Eczema Therapy na part ng Active Naturals line ng Aveeno. It's a moisturizing cream (it's packed with much more moisturizing power than normal lotion). I know eczema and skin asthma may not be the same, but the ingredients used for the products are all to relieve itching. It's fragrance free, with colloidal oatmeal which are things that you look for in things that you use to prevent generally all types of skin irritation. I saw changes na agad in a few days pa lang. Hindi na ako nangangati at all. All day long yung relief. Tsaka I guess the good thing about this is hindi siya gamot. It's all natural. Bonggang ito lang talaga ang nag-work sakin. My skin has never been better nga eh. As in baby smooth skin na sya ngayon. Sobrang panget kasi talaga ng skin ko dati, as in ang daling mag-dry tapos ang rough pa. I've tried derma products and medical ointments pero wala talaga.

my toddler also has skin asthma. if we don't apply lotion, grabe ang flare up niya.. chicken skin na red and rough. with my other kids, lush's miracle in a jar (forget na) ang gamit ko. with my toddler, effective sa kanya ang aveeno green. so happy kasi mura na siya compared to physiogel, cetaphil, lush

My skin asthma seems to be "quiet" as of late. I haven't had any major flare ups. *knock on wood*

Pero when I do get it itchies, I can usually rely on my derma's Clobederm ointment. I just apply it on the itchy patch.

For regular maintenance, I don't use anything expensive. Just By Nature Handmade Soap's premium bars (Utter Bliss or Olive Oil) and Human Nature's Healthy Lotion (Vanilla Delight). Yun lang. I stick to chemical-free products na, kasi I noticed na when I use regular soaps and lotions, nangangati talaga ako.

Me nakapagtry na po ba sa inyo pure glycerin to treat skin asthma. Ano po result?

my son was diagnosed with atopic dermatitis when he was just 27 days. Unang nireseta ng pedia cutivate, pag apply mabilis mawala yung rash pero after ilang araw balik na naman. And medyo kinakabahan ako sa paglagay nung steroid cream parang nararamdaman ko na may masamang effect. I tried aveeno and physiogel pero hindi nagwork sa kanya. buti na lang meron ng Mustela nung time na yun sa trinoma. after 3 days lang may effect na agad. Nagresearch talaga ako kung ano yung mga products na walang steroid/hydrocortisone kasi masama talaga effect ng steroid. Kaya parati sinasabi ng pedia, very thin lang ang pag apply. After 2 months of using Mustela, wala ng flare ups. Nagrereact na lang sya pag may iniintroduce kaming food sa kanya na bawal pala sa kanya. Every 3 to 4 days nag iintroduce kami ng food para malaman namin kung san sya allergic.  And we found out na may allergy sya sa tilapia pero he can eat chicken. He is now 16 months and wala ng flare ups. Sinasamahan na rin namin ng proper diet. Lahat ng food nya, kami nagpreprepare. We only buy organic vegetables and free range na chicken. Kasi may mga food talaga na bawal sa mga may allergies. And nalaman ko rin na hindi lahat ng may allergy, hindi pwede kumain ng chicken. Blood Type A, pwedeng kumain ng chicken pero bawal mga dairy/beef. Type B, hindi pwede ang chicken. hello we are all the same here :> I just use petrolium jelly as my lotion on my body kahit na super greesy and uncomfortable sya, nawawala naman pero it leaves me scars!!! pero naglilighten rin naman, i just used [textspeak!] ERASE NA SCAR REMOVER also I use whitening soap. i will help you even out the scars.
