We started using St Ives Intensive Healing Lotion and it worked wonders!!

Hindi na kami nag v-VCO and mga steroid creams!!  YEHEY!

meron ako skin asthma. it runs in our family kase. usually mga boys samen may mga hika, sa babae naman, balat. kaya paranoid ako na magkaron din anak ko nito. my son uses cetaphil since baby palang sya kase nairitate agad skin nya sa week after he was born sa lactacyd at j&j.

sabi nga nila, prevention is key sa skin asthma dahil pabalik balik yan, depeende sa trigger. i use mustela products tsak dove baby soap. minsan nakikihingi din ako nito sa baby ko since di rin ako basta basta pwede gumamit ng kung ano anong skin products.

My 2 kids (4 and 2 years old) have skin asthma. They are using oatmeal soap, aveeno baby lotion (yung with oatmeal) and hydrocort cream.  So far, medyo nababawasan naman yung dryness.  Prior to using the aveeno lotion, napansin ko na effective yung jergens ultra healing. Hininto ko lang kasi my SIL sent the aveeno lotions, sayang naman.  Effective naman both.

Has anyone tried Dr. Grace Beltran? How much ba check-up and mga meds from her?

I saw a baby sa news 2 weeks ago, naawa ako... whole body niya pati scalp punong puno ng skin asthma. Super itchy siya and infant palang siya. Tinulungan siya ng foundation. It was Dr. Grace Beltran yung derma. Grabeh, miracle - after a few weeks... wala na yung skin asthma ng baby. Ang pogi pogi ng baby pa.

^She's my daughter's pedia derma. I've recommended her in this thread (previous pages, I think) or the other pedia directory thread. Magaling nga sya and her creams and lotions are very effective, in less than a week nag-heal yung rash ng anak ko. May kamahalan lang, around P700 ata PF, if I remember correctly (3 years ago pa yun), so after mawala nung mga rash I looked for alternatives na. Pag may big flare ups, OK talaga yung mga creams nya; for maintenance, hanap na lang ng hiyang na lotion.

share ko lang un condition ko. nagpost na din ako before about my skin asthma... but 3 weeks ago, napansin ko sobrang kati ng mata ko... hindi naman sa loob kaya i know hindi sya sore eyes. sa labas lang. eyelids and sa lower part. tapos may araw na mapula sya. nawawala pag minsan pero pabalik-balik lang. since i know na i have skin asthma..alam kong allergy lang sya kaya uminom lang ako antihistamine pero pabalik-balik lang din. tapos yesterday, before i went to the doctor, napansin ko un pantal sa mata ko na nagsubside nagkakaron ng white sa gitna. maliit lang sya pero inisip ko pano kung dumami. i got worried kaya though i really hate to go to the doctor dahil ayoko talagang maghintay ng matagal for  a check up, tiniis ko na.

ayun, kumpleto daw ako sa asthma kasi i have skin, bronchial and allergic rhinitis din. actually, di na nasumpong ang asthma ko talaga, pero sabi nalipat lang pala yun. kaya pala lately, nagkaron ako ng mga allergies sa food which wala naman dati. hay. :(i was given an antihistamine for 3 days. pero i have to undergo a lab test to check gano kalala ang allergy ko. siguro magtreatment pag nalaman. kainis di pa naman covered ng card kasi atopic dermatitis is chronic daw at di covered ng HMO. mahal pa naman ng lab test. 7500..

I just want to share my experience. May skin asthma & allergic rhinitis din ako. Nagpa-skin test ako sa allergist. It turns out that house dust mite ang nagti-trigger ng skin asthma ko. Now, im undergoing immunotherapy every week. So far, medyo controlled na skin asthma ko. I hope this helps.

I had skin asthma when I was a kid then during teenage years naging eczema then psoriasis na ngayon.

I had been battling with skin conditions for 16 years now.

I have decided to try to go natural/organic.

And you know what?

After a loooooooot of expensive treatments, ngayon my skin looks better and good!

I guess sobrang dami kasing toxin / parabens nung mga ginagamit natin na regular stuff sa katawan.

And yeah I also changed my diet.

Now I use the ff:

Human Nature's Sunflower Oil
Milea's Itcho's Oil for Skin Asthma
Milea's Goat's Milk Soap and I alternate this with Milea's Mother Nature's Gift Soap and Milea's Guava Soap

Sometimes I use body butters and cream from either Milea or Human Nature (sila lang kasi yung mura na organic) but I prefer the oil.

I stopped using Aveeno na. But that helped me back then. Pero ngayon masbetter yung ganito.

And I avoid chicken.

I hope my baby doesn't inherit what I have.

siguro ganyan din un sakin. waiting na lang ako ng result this saturday. panong theraphy ginagawa? pano un process? mahal ba medications? puro gastos kasi tong sakit na 'to. 

Sabi ni doc, mostly daw ay allergic sa house dust mite. Immunotherapy ang tawag nila sis. Every week, ininjectan ako ng allergen kung san ako allergic. Nag-iincrease yung concentration habang tumatagal hanggang maging immune ka na dun sa nagca-cause ng allergy. P350 per shot every week. Medyo magastos at matagalang treatment pero effective naman.

Btw, sa allergist ka ba nagpa-skin test? I can refer you to my doctor if you want.

MommySofia18, had my 2nd check up last sat and tama ka, immunotherapy nga un sinabi nya sakin. pero i still have to undergo another test. mas complete yata un. nakita ko sa picture..daming tusok.. waaahh!  P350 per shot lang? pero how long do you have to undergo that treatment? kasi un sa son ng officemate ko, 6 yrs daw.. tapos weekly un shot. homay! ang tagal.

steroid ba un gamot para dun sa shot? i'm worried baka tumaba ako.. 

taga-laguna ako, kaya un doctor lang here. tamad ako magpunta sa malayo eh hehe. pero certified allergist naman sya.

Mga sis, I have a major flare up of skin asthma. Pag ganun, the derma I go to injection na ng steroid on the affected area (mostly sa feet ko). Nag karon ng recission yung gamot ng derma and nawalan ng effect yung almost 8 years ko ng gamot during flare-ups sa mga patches lang.

Question ko, meron naba sainyo nag painject sa area lang ng skin asthma (atopic dermatitis)? Sinong derma and would you know how much? Kasi, I remembered 15 years ago pa yung derma na pinuntahan namin ng mom ko and nasa libo na yung singil. I want to know how much na kaya now?

Yup, P350 per shot per week. In my case, mga around 5 months n ko nagpapa-immuno. [textspeak!] ni doc, pag na-reach ko na yung highest concentration (mga 3 to 5 years) saka magstop yung treatment.mpero as early as now, nare-realize ko na yung benefits ng immunotherapy.

Nope, di po steroid yung ini-inject, allergen po sya.

Mga sis, you might like to consider Wet Wrap therapy. It works on me and lessen yung itchiness.

^ sa wet wrap therapy my son uses dextrose IV fluid pag may flare ups madaling gumaling kahit 20 to 30 mins. lang then apply the cream.
