Skin Asthma treatment

Hi mga sisses, help naman. Yung 3 years old son merong skin asthma. last saturday merong tumubo sa katawan nya na butlig butlig then sobrang kati daw.. yung butlig nya parang may water sa loob, then pag nakamot lumalaki tapos parang kumakalat. nag w-worry ako kasi meron na din tumubo sa muka.. naawa ako sa kanya kasi sa gabi lagi sya kamot ng kamot. baka meron kayong pwedeng ma refer na derma along novaliches. na pa check na namin sya kaya lang parang walang effect sa kanya yung oinment na ginagamit nya..

anyway, if it's skin asthma, my 20-month old baby has/had this also. her skin used to be scaly as it was super dry and a bit of the butlig-butlig din. i tried different things but what really worked was changing the soap, lotion, practically everything we put on her skin. sometimes even diet must change such as taking out commonly known allergens such as nuts. for soap and lotion, we resorted to all natural, chemical free ones - by nature's handmade soaps and oasis soothing oil coz we want to patronize yun proudly pinas-made.

try cethapil soap [textspeak!] clear ha? Works for my niece galing nawala [textspeak!] scaly and butligbutlig sa skin.

Dati gamit ko sa baby ko derma-formulated and -prescribed soap, emollient & cream.  Those worked kaya lang medyo mahal so I looked for alternatives.  Cetaphil, Oilatum, Human Nature, and Lactacyd didn't help.  I discovered Dove Baby unscented and BGone insect repellant lotion worked on her.  Her skin is now smoother than when she was using her derma's products.  Hit or miss lang siguro sa products.  You have to test kung saan mahihiyang anak mo.

There are lots of highly allergenic food (dairy, eggs, seafood, citrus fruits, nuts, eggplant, watermelon, etc) that you can avoid kaya lang baka magkulang sa nutrisyon ang bata.  It would  also be advisable to consult with an allergist (aside from a dermatologist) to determine the specific trigger(s) of your child's skin asthma.

Kung hindi makatulog, you might want to ask your pedia if your child can take Zyrtec (anti-allergy medicine).

naku, same problem ang baby ko who is now 14 months old.  newborn pa lang sya, he has this patch sa right leg nya na parang butlig-butlig.  di ko pinansin kasi akala ko mawawala saka di naman dumadami.

after his 1st birthday last november, i noticed na parang lumaki ang parang half leg na nya and meron na din yung kabilang leg nya.  tapos, kinakamot na nya unlike before.

we will be going to a pedia-derma this coming thursday.  i'll post kung ano sasabihin ng pedia-derma.

my daughter also has skin asthma, I use cetaphil for her soap.
Then, lahat ng gamit nya is hypoallergenic and cotton. Haaay...
Then after a yr nawala [textspeak!] skin asthma nya naging Bronchial Asthma naman...

my 16 month old baby meron din, they called it chicken skin yung butlig sa katawan. she can't sleep dahil panay ang kamot nya what i do every night she takes Alerkid (anti-allergy) prescribed by her pedia and put some physiogel lotion on her body. nag sooth naman kaso naawa ako kasi di naalis sa katawan nya.

i also have skin asthma kaya i am worried nagmagkaroon din si baby... ones you have asthma of the skin never na yan mawawala kasi e.. sometimes lalabas siya sometimes naman mawawala.. actually i think there's no cure for that kasi accdg sa derma ko before ones you have skin asthma u just have to live with it.. pero may medicines or ointments naman to cure them like betnovate pero babalik pa din siya after awhile..

Hi sisses, I hope this doesn't come out as plugging or anything, coz it's not directly my experience, but I have a friend whose baby has skin asthma... she uses BNHS Baby Oilotion on him and it has helped in controlling it. Now she makes sure to always have a bottle of the Baby Oilotion.

my baby also has chicken skin pero hindi naman makati yun sa kanya - pag mainit lang or pag pinapawisan. pero mahigpit talaga ang daily regimen nya when it comes to moisturizing. we only use natural soaps ng by nature. then we make sure na we put lotion on her after every bath.

Mga sis,meron din ako skin asthma same with my baby.once in a while nagfla-flare up yun rashes ko,butlig butling na me water sa loob.Pinescribe ng derma ko is dermovate cream or ointment,mabilis naman  nawawala yun rashes ko.Sa soap ng baby ko nag-try na din ako ng halos lahat ng soap sa market,sa oatmeal soap or vco soap lang sya nahiyang.

My eldest daughter have this skin asthma, when she was just 5 yrs old, we use Oilatum for soap at most of the time na affected ang skin niya sa may bones, I mean [textspeak!] allergy niya madalas nasa may siko, ankle. Tapos she is now 9yrs old at least now hiyang siya sa weather in our new place kaya hindi na masyado umaatake ang skin asthma nya.

lagi din may skin asthma mga kids ko.. before i used cetaphil soap and moisturizing cream pero di talaga kaya and di hiyang. doctor recommended aveeno baby wash and lotion ayun effective naman. then pag meron scaly rash, i try to put cortizan cream (hydrocortisone) then pag di nawala i use lidex cream.. lagi ako may stock ng mga yan

when my baby or even i gets a break out, i use pure aloe vera gel. it heals up the next day.

i had my baby ckecked by a pedia-derma yesterday.  he was diagnozed with skin asthma and eczema.  he was prescribed the following:

a.  VCO - to be applied 20 minues before his bathtime (2x day)
b.  Foskina Ointment - to be applied on the affected parts 2x a day
c.  Physiogel All Cream - to be applied 2x a day on his arms and legs
d.  Cetaphil - as his soap

sana, maging okay na sya with the prescription. he'll see his doctor next week ulit for a follow-up.

Avoid chocolate, egg white, citrus (orange, lemon, pineapple),shrimp, crab, shellfish & dried fish. Recommended din po yung dove moisturizing soap.

ang dami palang may skin asthma! bakit kaya?

yung daughter ko, nung baby pa lang nagkaroon na ng mga rashes. her pediatrician prescribed oilatum soap, and since then yun na talaga ang soap nya. minsan pag nauubusan (ang mahal kasi), ginagamitan ko ng ordinary soap, nai-irritate yung skin.

last month sobrang daming butlig nya sa legs, halos magsugat na. eh sayang naman, maganda pa naman ang shape ng legs nya. pinatingin ko sa dermatologist and she said atopic dermatitis daw, also known as skin asthma. she prescribed hydrocortisone to be applied on the affected areas. nag-research ako sa internet and found out that it's a steroid kaya after 3 days tinigil ko na ang pag-apply, pero nawala na nga yung rough spots.

according to the net, kailangan daw talaga i-mositurize yung skin ng merong atopic dermatitis. so kahit na expensive, oilatum bar talaga dapat ang soap ng daughter ko tapos ang lotion niya is cetaphil. magastos, sobra! sabi ng dermatologist, pwede rin daw ang dove soap.
