sis, patchuchai, same here, hindi rin ako marunong kahit basic floating.  as in super beginner level talaga.  i'm fine with ywca.  the thing is, my work ends at 5 pm pa.  pero pwede ako ng early am schedule like untl 8 am.  i'll try to research din baka may iba pang swimming lessons within the area.  and mag-inquire din ako sa rizal. i'll keep you posted with the updates within the week. :)

1,800 lang for 12 sessions?!

Basta gagawin nya then susunod ka. Tapos ikcritique ang form mo. Nagwork naman sa akin dahil in 1 day marunong na ako ng basic freestyle.

What is ywca? Gaano kalaki yung pool? Enhancing na lang ang kulang ko.

I started swimming every day this week.

To get the most out of the swimming sessions do lap sets. Freestyle 200m warm up, 30sec rest. Then 4x50m sprints, 30 sec rest intervals. 200m breast stroke. 100m pulls then 100m kickboard. 200m cool down lap. Thats around a 30-40 minute workout.

@CentrumSilver - sis, mga ilang laps kaya yung 200m laps?  di ko kasi alam length nung pool.  i'm 5'7" if that helps.  ano din yung pulls?  marunong ako magswim pero basic lang ang knowledge ko hehe.

thanks!

^ I'm a guy. Yung pool sa Rizal memorial 50 meter pool yun. Isang lap back and forth the length of pool is 100 meters. Pull buoy is a small piece of styrofoam that you tuck in between the legs when you swim. You will be working your arms while your legs are holding the buoy.  Kickboard is also a small piece of styrofoam that you hold on while you work your kick.

Here's a video on how to use the pull buoy:

Here's another one for kickboards:

i'm nearing my 30s na kasi and i want to learn to swim before my Palawan trip next year. also, gusto ko kasi indoor pool sa Makati. kaya ang first option ko na venue ay yung sa A-Venue Hotel Indoor Pool sa Makati, Lozada conducts swimming classes there (well, according to their website).

Interested din kasi ako sa swimming and im looking at yung venue na to but im not sure kung nagcconduct ng swimming class. thanks for the feedback :)

A bit off the topic(OT if you prefer)
Someone from this thread asks why chose female instructors?
I specifically chose to find straight female instructors because it comforts my mindset that I am safe
while in 1-1 trainning or learning a new skill. i had one very first bad experience when i was 21yrs old learning how to drive from an unprincipled instructor. i did not complete my driving lessons and kept silent with the issue and shrug it away as a bad incident. I am always dressed casually(long jeans, plain polo shirt)I never flirted or talk nonsense with any of my instructors even in my younger years. But this does not mean all instructors are bad or hyenas. I just have to keep guard myself everytime. Though male instructors are the best coach when it comes to technical trainning, i would hate to punish myself "over respecting" my trainor when I paid for that trainning and for the experience.

Hi pinkk, from your previous post i've read good things abt your coach, could you help me give her land line numbers or in rizal stadium(taft mla?) , i am planning to enroll my kids this coming summer, ages 6 yrs old and 3 yrs old both boys, how much? How many sessions? Cant pm you i am only probi here, pls help. Thanks

^^^sis, hindi ako natuloy... kasi naman, baka mag-isa lang ako, so i don't think na itutuloy yung class pag isa lang ang estudyante. oh well.
