alam mo sis I am trying to convince my self to continue doing vegan again specialy they found some fibroids in my uterus maliit naman sya althou sabi pwede pa syang lumiit at mawala my doing vegan for 3 years.

Bumagal metabolism ko, since I cut protein and carbs for 8 mos. I am going to stick being pescatarian and vegan. Ok pa ba metabolism mo?

Can someone give me there low cal low fat no bake vegan cake? Para sa burthday sana. Thanks :) And, sino dito bumagal metabolism nung naging vegan or vegetarian? How did you fix it?

Another question, are all vegan cake low in cal and low fat?

Not pregnant, wala ako boyfe and I live with my family. It all started nung naconstipate ako (haha binge eating problem) then I drink 3 meds. Chineck ko na three groceries samen, walang wheat flour or coconut flour. But its better to stick with unbleached flour, baking soda and the likes.

I will not stick being vegan. But I will eat 90% of my meals with fruits and vegies para hindi ako nagbibinge. Btw, proteins burns more calories in digesting it and makes us feel full longer. While consuming the right calcium and amount of it helps in loosing weight :) Pero high in calories ang dairy products

sis mikewazowski, if umabot ng three months na wala kang period, be cautious, baka kasi you're experiencing secondary amenorrhoea. Just read about it here : http://caloriecount.about.com/forums/health-support/amenorrhoea-lose-period
;)
sorry if OT~

hi mga sis! I'm not vegetarian or vegan but I'm interested to join this thread.

ang vegetarian talaga sa family namin is my 6yo son. his diet is all boiled veggies and cereals in the morning and fresh milk. lacto vegetarian from back reading (I guess?).

he doesn't like what me and my husband eat. but slowly we are introducing more and more variety of foods to him except meat - because he doesn't really want to try it ever since.

I'm here because I wanted to learn more and be able to offer him other food. Being a vegetarian is never recommended daw sa bata kaya lahat ginagawa ko so we could introduce more protein/meat into his body.

I was wondering if yung nararamdaman nyong masakit sa throat or upset stomach after being meat free for a while could be experienced by a kid as well? So I might be inclined to having him try a bit muna at first and then kapag nasanay sya ay saka ko na dadagdagan.

By the way, he doesn't like tofu or fish. But I'm trying other ways that we could slip it into his food. We trick him into eating something (I know that shouldn't be the way) but after a while I would tell him the truth and he'd be fine with that.

Lately, ang protein intake nya is from fresh milk and avocado - and if cheerios really have it like it says in the box - a bit from that too.

Thanks for reading through. If you can add some more food that you use to supplement protein/Vitamin B that would be most appreciated.

I'm supposedly vegetarian but compromised and turned pescatorian. Apparently it's hard being vegetarian here in the Philippines, especially in Metro Manila. I always have a hard time thinking where to eat since most restaurants, turo-turo and fast food chains cater to meat-lovers. If there are veggie meals, expect that there will (most of the time) sahog na meat. It's hard also if you are always on the go and have no time to cook.

So to lessen my stress (and so I won't be giving other people a hard time as well), I decided to at least allow seafood in my diet. But if there are options, I always choose 100% vegetable meals. My wish though, someday, I can go vegan. Maybe not here in the Philippines or if I am well-off haha.

I can only be truly vegetarian when I'm back in Baguio.

Oh, btw my main reason for turning into vegetarian/pescatorian was because I got scared with my colleagues getting sick because of high-level of stress (i work for tv and film production before) and I didn't want to be like them. the only thing I thought of to prevent such from happening to me, is by turning vegetarian. and since 2009, I've been eating vegetables and living without meat. :)

May kakilala ako na vegetarian, because of him nadiscover ko ang restaurant sa loob ng Adventist Medical Hospital. They serve ulam na kaldereta, adobo, sweet and sour, sinigang etc. but all menu are made veggies pero lasang meat, also very affordable.

Hi luckypal. I used to be vegan bitbit ko pa mom ko but in the end we had to quit because we both got sick. Mom ko malala na-diagnose siya with NAFLD. Doctor warned us that continuing down this path we would get irreversibly worse.
Veganism/Vegetarianism is not for everybody. That's all I can say about it.

For vegetarians and vegans who live in Mandaluyong or Pasig, I highly recommend Edgy Veggy at #3 Brixton St. Pasig Kapitolyo! :)

You can never go wrong with anything on the menu. Plus, they deliver! Just had their laksa, greek salad and home style chili with vegan sour cream :D

Hi mga sis! pajoin.. :D

Matagal na akong frustrated vegetarian. Happy to say that finally last month e I went cold turkey and fully tinanggal ko na sya sa diet ko. I'm working on becoming a vegan in the near future dahil the reason I'm doing this is because I love animals and I don't want to be a part of the meat-trade cruelty na nangyayari.

Kung tutuusin nga yung mga nakasanayan natin e mas harmful pa sa kanila (like processed meats, fast food, cereals, etc)The truth is yung protein na kinakain natin sa daily meat intake natin is way over the recommended dietary allowance. Also, we can get protein from fruits, hindi lang sa tofu (contrary to what most people think) :D I guess it's all about balance.

On the upside, 1month palang akong vegetarian pero pumayat na ako which is great. And nawala na yung feeling na palaging bloated. hehe!

Kaya natin to mga sis! More power to us! :D

Sis lessgo here. Haha.

Pasama sa thread. Well, I'm not a full-fledged vegetarian. I removed red meat from my diet lang for health reasons and because it's recommended for those who practice meditation regularly. I've been doing this for months, kaso lately dumadami ang cheat days lalo na when I'm out with friends. :( Kasi puro beef and/or pork ang kadalasan sa menu, and madalas pa group meal ang inoorder. I hope to make my own meals soon like rice and beans. Yum yum.
