How much does a trip to Paris cost?

^The Palais Royal is not open to the public except for their garden and courtyard. Government office kasi sya. Since winter kayo nandun I don't think there is anything to see in their garden.

You can catch an opera at the Bastille Opera while the Pompidou is a museum housing modern art. Here's a list of opera and theater houses in Paris. Nope, I've never tried watching plays or operas in Paris. I'd rather watch in Vienna

If you want to watch a play - Comedie Francaise has good ones at reasonable prices plus you get the chance to see one of the oldest Parisian theaters. The interior is also quite nice

^Yes everything is in French. We've watched na a couple of times - one play by Moliere whose title I don't remember hehe & Le Petit Prince Always changing ang shows nila but they have easy stuff like Le Petit Prince so that's a good one to start with if you don't speak or speak/understand very little French.

If you really love theatre, then go for it - at least so you can enjoy the atmosphere, the costumes, the theatre itself.

^ yes sis thats what we do. Laki ng matitipid vs dining out. Just make sure to try at least one authentic Parisian meal. I love the array of restos along the canal near Notre dame yata yun... Quaint and not so touristy.

^^Yup, hubby and I always do that every time we're in Paris. Even sa labas ng supermarket you can find food stalls or even cafes that do take out. Hit sa amin ni hubby yung local Andoks nila or what they call the "poulet roti" short for poulet (chicken) rotisserie. Then buy the potatoes that are also cooked along with the chicken drippings. Hard to explain how it looks but I have a picture in my blog. If you can do without rice, buy their baguette instead and couple that with a local red wine and you're all set!

Another cheap option are the doner kebab meals. They're all over Paris. Meals can be had from EUR4-6 only. Busog-busog na kayo nun. Of course you also have to try dining in a local resto. If you are brave enough look for a restaurant with no multiple language signboards in front and filled with locals. That's a sign that the place is not touristy/or does not cater to tourists with tourist prices.

They're a couple of doors away each other & there is often a line to eat but it's quick naman. Personally I prefer Higuma.

^Hey that's great! I was actually looking at the other listings of Ludwig. Yeah, naka-email ko na rin sya when we were looking for our Paris apartment on our last trip. That time di lang available the one that we wanted to rent so we ended up with the Montmartre apartment which turned out okay din.

Wala naman bang kaso with the owners of the apartments sa Airbnb, say I cancel my booking with them? Kasi di ba I haven't applied for my Schengen yet since Feb 04 pa my schedule. In case lang my visa does not get approved, hassle-free naman the cancellation with the flat owners right?

^sis, when you book with airbnb you have to check the conditions of cancellation. It will say naman sa mismong page ng owner if they are strict or not with cancellations.

riksy07, the apartment i booked, "moderate" yung policy niya with cancellations. that's actually a big part of the reason why we chose his place.
I have till 5 days from the booking date. the payment with airbnb yung not refundable though. but it's just a small amount.
