Sis hunny_ally, ok lang ba to ask how much the convertibel car seat? puwede kaya sya sa Maclaren or combi stroller na pang newborn? thanks

if i remember correctly it's less than 10k. i dont think it is compatible with strollers. it's too bulky to be placed on top of a stroller. you can get more information from here

hunny_ally, thanks for that. good to know may convertible car seats pala at mothercare. parang wala kasi akong nakita sa SM.

prettyarcher, the convertible car seats are not compatible with the techno xlr. infant carriers lang din ang pwede, much like the carrier that comes with the chicco and graco strollers, and most of the brands na compatible have car seat adaptors for the carrier.

according to this - "The Maclaren Techno XLR Stroller is compatible with the following car seats Britax Companion, Graco Snug Ride, Peg Primo Viaggio, Evenflo Discovery, Combi Tyro, Combi Center, Combi Connection, Cosco Eddie Bauer and Cosco Designer 22."

i've also read somewhere that the chicco keyfit 30 carrier/car seat is compatible with the xlr.

^ yung carrier/car seat ng cortina 30 is a keyfit 30, for NB up to 30lbs. and it's only rear-facing when used as a car seat.

went to mothercare at greenbelt today to see what they have.

we liked the spin stroller. medyo mahal nga lang at 38k pero kasi i really like the idea of a parent-facing child eh masyado naman mahal yung stokke xplory. at least this is more reasonably-priced. it's not as high as the xplory and hindi adjustable yung height pero maganda naman siya.

also checked out convertible car seats. britax first class plus lang meron sila i think mukhang ok na at 14k. but will check out mothercare in shang baka mas madaming options don.

if i were to buy a stroller again for our newborn (kung magkakaron man), gusto ko din yung parent facing the baby.. then macoconvert sa isang side pag laki.. i should have thought of this before buying that maclaren techno xlr..

kami naman we had a choice pero ang asawa ko ang may ayaw. nahihilo daw sya pra sa bata. hehe.

sample nya pa, try mong mag bus and seat na nakatalikod sa driver, hilo di ba? LOL

^^ yeah, i think maganda yung idea ng parent-facing child kasi mas makakapag-interact kayo.

but we're having 2nd thoughts with the mothercare spin stroller now. 37k kasi siya plus car seat pa na 13k so 50k na.

maclaren techno xlr 23k plus car seat na 13k eh di 36k lang. ang laki ng difference so hindi pa namin ma-assess kung worth nga ba talaga yung spin stroller.

another option is quinny buzz kasi pwede din parent-facing, a bit cheaper than the spin at 32k. aliw pa kasi may hydraulics.

^ hilo din pag naka-carseat kung ganon kasi pag newborn up to a certain age, rear-facing car seat diba? i guess ok naman sa baby yon? pero yung ok naman sa spin and quinny buzz, option lang yung parent-facing kasi pwede din naman gawing front-facing yung bata.

clueless, yeah and di rin naging conflict and idea ng asawa ko (and i did agree) sa car seat because we don't have a car here. we had quinny buzz and di rin nagamit ang parent-facing position nito for our daughter.

i think okay lang pag baby. if they're not comfortable on that position they'll cry anyway. but i beleive that this is for NB only kasi once the baby can see na, after couple of weeks, its better na front facing so they can appreciate sceneries around.

^ sis, napa-try niyo ba sa daughter niyo yung parent-facing? di niya nagustuhan? o talagang hindi niya na naging option ang parent-facing?

sabi naman kasi sa website ng stokke at sa kuna ano-anogn reviews pa nabasa ko about stokkee, kaya parent-facing yung gawa nila kasi pag front-facing tapos mababa pa yung stroller, puro legs daw makikita na baby sa harap niya tapos wala ka pang interaction sa baby. dyan ako na-engganyo mag parent-facing. pero yon nga, di naman namin alam kung ok nga ba talaga yon sa mga bata o baka nga ayaw din naman nila.

@ sis clueless..yeah per order basis na nga lang ang stokke sa rustan's and ang tagal pa dumating, pinakamabilis would be 2 months, and ang mahirap baka pag dumating dito eh may damage pa, so maghihintay ka na naman ng matagal para sa kapalit kaya isip-ispi talaga kung okey pa yung option na yun since sobrang tagal ng transit time. =(

Isa sa mga must namin ni hubby when we were looking for a stroller is yung reversible siya. Why? One is that small babies are attached pa to their moms. Shempre, ikaw they want to see and hear a familiar face/voice anywhere he/she goes diba. Ikaw nga ilagay sa stroller tapos nakikita mo lahat unfamiliar sayo eh di matatakot ka. And as a mom, shempre mas gusto ko kita ko si baby ko lagi. Baka natatabunan na sha ng blanket nya or baka umiiyak na pala sha. There are still times that we put our 1 year and a half daughter sa ganitong setup. Lalo na kapag nasa mood shang makipagdaldalan or minsan kasi yung flat na angle is maaachieve lang kapag front facing (bugaboo bee and stokke xplory). Between the 2 strollers, mas madali mag reverse sa stokke.

Dun sa nagpost about stokke and rear facing, ito nga ang best sa lahat ng rear facing strollers kasi mataas sha so mas maganda yung view na nakikita nya. What i like about this setup is aside from the fact na it serves as a high chair also, i can hold my baby's hand and push the stroller side by side. Gets? Para kaming sabay na naglalakad. Ang tagline nga nila is "higher is better."

you may also want to check bugaboo bee. It can be used from newborn up to 40lbs. Reversible, maneuverable, compact, lightweight, cuztomizable canopies. I bought mine from hobbes and landes. Although double check kasi may bago ng labas this year na bee (same with stokke, may bagong version na rin).

Ay oo haps! Kasama ang bee sa lightweight strollers. Ang stokke hindi. Although di ko alam kung [textspeak!] mas mabigat. Kung Buzz or stokke.

12kgs ang buzz so not anymore ideal for H kasi 17kgs sya. parusa samen kung magkagayon.

12.5kg ang stokke. Oo nagagamit pa din nya kahit big na sha. Yun nga lang kapag nilabas mo sha sa stroller usually happens pag pinagca carousel ko sha), ayaw na nyang bumalik kasi gusto maglakad na. So we usually plan her carousel ride by the end of the day.
