Sisses, if you're aiming for a permanent position, at least 5 years of working experience talaga ang hanap nila. Pero kung consultants, pwede na ang 3 years (consultant ako ngayon, hehe) wala nga lang bonggang bonggang benefits pero ok ang pay and you can make use of their resources:

- cafeteria na parang high-end restaurant ang dating pero murang mura ang food kasi subsidized; they serve different kinds of meals that suit all nationalities
- buffet style na restaurant sa loob, parang Dad's / Saisaki (what they call the Executive Dining Room, char)
- lahat ng kelangan mo nasa loob na ng building: ATM, commercial banks, drugstore (Watson's), etc.
- kapag umaga / hapon may nagdadala ng coffee / meryenda sa bawat opisina (at naka-waiter attire ha, LOL)
- ang paborito ko: winner na library with starbucks na mura dahil walang tax. acutally lahat mura kasi nga subsidized
- malaking malaking gym na kumpleto sa gamit (yes, basketball court na pang PBA) at may trainer pa -- hindi ko lang sure kung pwede ang consultants dito kasi never ko pa na-try, hindi kasi ako mahilig mag exercise, hehe
- madaming madami pa, pero yung iba limited sa staff

ano ba yan dapat binabayaran na ko ng HR nila. HAHA.

sis fall2pieces, hindi naman kailangan na galing sa banking industry. depende kasi sa hinahanap nilang position. may mga economist, statistician, environmental science experts, communication experts, etc. dito. so whatever your background is, basta swak yung credentials mo sa hinahanap nila, pasok ka. yun nga lang, kaloka mag-apply kasi global ang competition, eh sa pinas pa lang ang dami nang magagaling.

sisses loveann and aceofhearts, kaya niyo din dito! basta tiyaga lang sa pag-apply, and samahan ng matinding dasal at positive thinking. Hehe. medyo matagal pala sila mag-process ng application kahit tanggap ka na kasi dadaan pa din sa matinding background check. Yung friend ko inabot ng 1 year ang application dito (for staff ha, hindi consultant), admin assistant na siya ngayon. ako naman about 2 months kasi medyo urgent yung position and 12-month project lang naman ito. after ng contract ko siguro, tatapusin ko muna ang graduate studies ko saka ako mag-aapply ng full time position. Para maka-libreng gym trainer din ako LOL

meron din pala silang sariling convenience store dito, in-house doctors, dentists and nurses, at grocery store na puro imported ang tinda, walang mark-up ng prices (kung anong price sa states, ganon din ang price sa grocery nila) kaya lang para lang sa mga expats yung groceries (natatakot yata sila na mag-hoard ang mga pinoy para ibenta sa labas, lol)

^Sis pRincess*niNa, feeling ko kasi sis wala ako position for ADB kasi almost four years na ako sa sales. Meron ba? update mo na lang ako I can do reports and admin works too, un nga lang ang layo sa place ko ito im from south pa kasi eh

hi pRincess*niNa, sobrang benta mo sa ADB ha. well, i am just as happy to be working for ADB. i'm a regular staff and by the grace of God, been here for 10 years na. so far, so good. loving the benefits especially the long-term ones (medical, staff retirement plan, etc)

si prRincess*Nina, in case you're interested for a regular staff position, you can try applying after your consultancy contract expires. dami na ritong consultants na nagiging regular staff, mostly with higher position levels pa.  even mga contractors, me chance rin maging regular staff.

thanks for the advice! will definitely try applying for a regular position pero plano ko muna tapusin yung masters ko para naman mas malaki ang chance kong matanggap

Wow! Puede din ba ako mag apply? Currently I am an accountant in a financing company. OK yung company, ok din ba ang co-employees? Baka kasi sa ganitong environment ang tindi ng competition.

in my case, sa office where i belong, i am blessed with nice colleagues especially mga bosses. my bosses are all europeans...we call them by their first names and we can say/suggest anything we want without them being offended.

I've been working in a retail/commercial banking for almost 5 years and wondering if I can qualify for an administrative work in ADB? Customer/Cash Services kasi related yung work ko eh..any advice po?
