im trying to finish my masters na nga now because i want to apply in adb din. actually, my mom has been with adb forever so siguro pagnag-retire na sya, pwede na din ako i-consider.

in fairness, im also very happy in my job now. the salary is so-so, not enough para makabili ng condo or anything, but the benefits are great. the downside is, may mga bagay na binibigay sa ibang employees not because of tenure  but because feel ka ng boss kaya medyo nakakalungkot din for other employees. maliit kasi yung company. like ako, i have a car. binigay sa akin agad. may mga colleagues ako na technically ka-level ko naman sa work, pero sila hindi binigyan ng ganung benefit. mahirap din kasi pag small company. pero yun nga, it doesnt leave me wanting naman. so i guess until maka-apply at matanggap ako sa international organization, dito muna ako.

^sis, buti di ka naiintriga because of that. For such a small company, di maiiwasan ang inggitan at intriga e. So back to ADB, ok daw ba dun sabi ng Mom mo? Di daw ba malakas ang office politics unlike sa mga Filipino-run businesses?

I have a friend who used to work for this company. Sadly, that is not the kind of treatment she experienced probably not because of the company but her supervisor. It's sad to think that an employee ruins the good feedback of the company they're working for.

ADB, I agree.

Go for the UN too -- the UN in the US ha, not a UN office situated outside NYC. 
While you are employed there, you are not a US citizen, you are not a diplomat, but you sure have a special category that allows you to bring in your family.  Within 20 years -- if your family members are set on staying in the US -- makakahanap na nang legal way to become a resident, or get a work visa.  (In the US, the work visa - even if applied for and of course! spent for by a company -- is owned by the employee... Puede syang umalis and transfer to another company using the same work visa -- the new company just has to file a couple of documents.)

UNILEVER is not a good company.  Your performance is now assessed by its HR, who have no relevant appreciation for your work.  The numbers may not come out ok for your product... but your effort kept its market share growing, and kept it from going kaput.  But HR will not even comprehend that.. it is your superiors who do, but your superiors no matter how high up and appreciative they are of your work -- are  bound by company rules and inutile vis-a-vis HR.   Now I get the whole picture why UNILEVER has been having a hemorrhage of managers these past few years.

^Sa Emirates, dabest daw talaga when it comes to salary.

Nestle Philippines is good as well. Not just in terms of compensation but how they live into their tag line "Choose Wellness" sa employees nila. Haay nagsisisi nga ako bakit ba nagtamad tamaran mode ako nung college. Kasi normally, multi-national companies would really look for applicants who received Latin honors nung college pa sila. Pero okay lang yan, whatever the company is, I think nasa tao pa rin yan. Mahirap makapasok sa mga magagandang companies nowadays because of the competition and high standards pero we can always try and still believe in ourselves. Provided na you show good values aside from your competence in doing the job  God bless sisses! Aja kaya natin to!
