We will pray for you mysterioza_me. Just hang in there.

With regards to suicide, mas lalo kasing depressing sa already depressed to call committing suicide being a coward. It means contemplating on it already make them coward. That is the last thing they need so yes, medyo hinay hinay lang po siguro tayo. I am not clinically depressed but I can relate in some ways to them. When people say na my anxiety is just in my head or like I am causing it myself, nakakainis. Trust me it just happen even if my day is perfect. I can't imagine my son having to go thru with that situation. Plus the psychosomatic symptoms pa.

I have seen persons diagnosed with clinical depression and much worser talaga.

Dito naman because of the weather more people feel "depress" at minsan isa na ako dun even you have a good life/family minsan di naiiwasan ma feel sad kahit hindi naman dapat.

Pinaka worse ko na feel nun magka postpartum ako as in umiiyak ako sa hindi ko malaman ang dahilan kaya un family doctor namin ilang beses ako pinavisit sa kanya para di magtuloy tuloy. I have experience din kasi na parang ang liit liit ko tapos ang room namin parang ang laki laki. Madami pa buti nalagpasan ko.

Hi Sis,

just over this weekend, I  had a major breakdown and I can't stop crying. I am having a hard time to look forward to things and even work on the job I used to love.

I don't know how to keep motivated anymore.  I used to think my mom is my motivation to keep forward and living but lately, I am ready to apologize to her cause I can't continue anymore.

I am tired of everything.

I know I need to seek a pscyh but I don't even have enough budget for that cause I spend most of my salary for my family.

Anyway, typing this down is such a great release for me. I wonder does anyone totally recover from depression?

^ if naka gaan ng kalooban mo pag post mo dito sis, you can share here kung ano man yung nararamdaman mo anytime you want.

Nabasa ko lang: Suicide is ending your pain and passing it to someone else.

^Thanks sis. Pero sa ngayon mahirap magpray. It is not praying kung sumbat or paninisi lang sa Kanya ang sasabihin ko. And sa ngayon ayaw ko munang magalit sa kahit kanino nakaka-trigger siya sa depression ko or kung ano man itong nararamdaman ko. Maybe in my own perfect time magdasal din ako uli.

^Actually, it's not really bad to ask God why. He knows exactly what you/we are going through. Let me put it this way. I prefer that my son tells me what he exactly feels even if he is angry than to just ignore me if he ever experience pain. That's how I see it. He said pray in all occasions with all kinds of prayers of petitions, pero wala namang sinabi to pray only when everything is going well.

^I understand your point.

Sis, seems like you're not comfortable with the emotion of anger?

Hindi ko alam kung nagtitrigger ng depression ang anger, but what I do know is suppressed or repressed anger can cause somatic symptoms. Anger is an energy, and it must flow out of your body.

And yes, it won't be physically comfortable. But the healthy flowing out and processing of anger is healing and liberating.

On your own, you can do diary. Maganda rin yung prayer diary, and yes you can also express negative emotions. Pero kung di mo talaga carry, personal diary will do.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember you shared about growing up with a mother who sounds emotionally abusive to me, parang ticking time bomb kung magalit. But on the good side naman you have a father na emotionally safe. If my memory is correct, syempre malaki ang contribution nyan to what you are feeling right now, that is, if you haven't processed your past yet. Mothers should be a safe haven, a source of emotional and physiological safety.

O everything is well naman, symptoms of depression lang talaga? You mentioned kasi, G na G sayo si God, I wonder what you mean by that.

Anyway, you don't have to answer naman. Mas maganda kung professional ang magprocess sayo. But you can share here if you want to, maraming makikinig.

I understand. I too have questions from time to time. I guess I am just lucky because the friends around me are more skilled when it comes to matters of faith. When I can't figure it out, I ask them. A lot of times the answers to my questions are in front of me. I hope you find people like them. The load is lighter because I don't carry everything. Meron akong kadamay. Reach out to support groups, they can be a huge help. Just keep on fighting. Kaya natin to.

Right now, I am reaching out to someone that needs help. Nakakapagod din sya minsan because she sometimes justifies things that's basically the cause of her pain.

I think it's not uncommon for one to lose faith during clinical depression. It's difficult to feel like being sucked by the black hole of emptiness and unhappiness. And then the only source of deliverance is God, but then no answer no matter how many pleadings were made.

Clinical depression is like any serious physical illness. Faith in God can make someone resilient and strong, but alone, it won't heal. Miracle pwede, but what is the chance?

Relationship between faith and depression is different for everyone. There are others who can recite to you Bible verses. But if others can't believe in God at this point in their lives, then let them be. If they have overcome their depression by some effective means (e.g. social support, therapy, meds), then who knows, their faith could come back. Maybe it could be a deeper one.

^*hugs* i feel you sis. kahit hindi tayo same ng situation, ramdam ko yung bigat ng dinadala mo. if you have time, visit a psychiatrist. last December lang ako nag consult and based on experience, it really helps. usually, yung first consultation lang yung medyo mahal pero less PF na sa mga follow ups. yung meds ko are not that expensive din. hang in there sis!

at this moment, i am not saying i am no longer depressed. i am taking anti-depressants and hindi ko pa alam how long i will take them. i was diagnosed with panic attack last december. 4 times akong na ER since september, every month nasa ER ako, suki na ako.. nahihirapan akong huminga, nagpapalpitate ako, nanghihina ako. there was this instance na sabay sabay yang symptoms na yan at dumagdag pa yung hindi ko na maigalaw mga kamay ko. all lab tests ko normal so nung last ER ko, i was referred to a resident neurologist then nirefer na nila ako sa neuro psych. sa first consultation, my psych asked me kung may problem daw ba ako at diretso naman akong humagulgol habang kinwento ko sa kanya ang problem ko. akala ko kasi nung una kaya ko, na masasanay din ako, na lilipas din ito just like other problems na nalampasan ko. but i was wrong. one time, nabasa ko yung about sa teenage daughter ni nonie and shamaine buencamino who commited suicide. sabi ni shamaine, "Pag sinabing depression, may time frame 'yan: two weeks, more than two weeks, na malungkot ka, na hindi nawawala yung bigat, yung lungkot mo, punta ka na ng doctor."

Link to the article:
https://www.pep.ph/news/69189/shamaine-buencamino-opens-up-about-daughter-who-suffered-depression-and-committed-suicide

hindi ko pa rin pinansin, kasi minsan nawawala rin naman sa isip ko lalo kapag busy sa work at sa baby ko. minsan pag makarinig ako ng song na magpapaalala sa problem ko, iiyak ako. may magpaalalang bagay, etc, iiyak ako at hindi ko napansin na i've been battling this feeling for over a year already. though on and off yung feeling na yun, pag nasa church ako hindi ko maiwasang hindi maiyak. kasi hindi ko matanggap. pero nung nag consult ako sa psych, narealize ko tama ang mga sinabi nya. he told me my body is telling me to stop, stress manifests in the body. wala naman na mangyayari kahit mag ngangalngal pa ako, malungkot ako ng bongga, sirain ko sarili ko. now i am focusing on my family, every morning when i wake up, i thank God dahil ginising nya uli ako. i ask Him na sana matagal pa ako mabuhay dahil kailangan pa ako ng mga taong mahal ko. i thank Him even for the smallest of things i have. at alam ko sa sarili ko one day maovercome ko rin lahat ito. i am religiously taking my meds, i have a supportive family, i have 1 (yes, 1 lang) best friend na parang kapatid ko na, i have a decent job. i am not rich but i definitely have everything i need. and that is more than enough.

Buti you have your kids to give yourself inspiration to power through every day. Good luck to you.

One small coping mechanism I have is saying to myself na di ba nga sabi nila, all things, good or bad, those too will pass. It's kind of sad really if you think about it, kasi napaka-impermanent ng mga bagay sa buhay and we are subject to things we cannot control, but pwede rin kasi gawing motivation yan na there is a chance that you are really going to go through whatever life throws at you. Sa totoo lang yun ang tingin ko sa prayer, na prayers won't necessarily hand you what you want on a silver platter but will give you faith and strength to do what needs to be done or to just to be able to hang in there when the going gets tough.

My brother in-law diagnosed clinical depression and anxiety. Close sila ni hubby kaya palagi sya tinatawagan. Once a month dumadalaw rin kami sa place nya.

May friend ako na claiming she is suffering from depression. I dont have any issues na depress siya tulad ng sinasabi niya, ang issue ko is she?s using her so-called depression to justify her misbehavior.
