Ive been depressed for years. After 4years. Di ko na kinaya. Nakipaghiwalay ako. Yung bata kinuha nya. Ayaw na nya ibigay sakin. Nasa ibang bansa na sila.

Nagoverdose ako ng rivotril. Meds ko to for my anxiety. After 1min sinuka ko lahat. Maraming beses. Puro scars yung left arm ko. Pati right leg ko may scar.

Most of the time I couldnt sleep. I feel lethargic most of the time. Kaya I just lock myself up in my room. Hirap maging depressed.

Yung iba pala inaabuso.

Seek a professional help ASAP when you feel hopeless and depressed.
Wag kayo makikinig sa mga taong sinasabihan kayo na snap out of it o nagddrama ka lang, o mawawala rin yan.
IT'S A CHEMICAL IMBALANCE IN OUR BRAIN THAT NEEDS A CONTINOUS MEDICATION. Psychiatrist will give you SSRIs na magcocomplete ng nawawalang chemicals sa utak natin.

Goodluck to all of us.
GODSPEED.

i used to follow this blog by a pretty girl na dumanas ng depression. grabe you would not imagine na shes been that depressed, she seemed to have everything. dun ko lang nagets na talagang need mag consult sa doctor pag ganung case na. she even admitted it that she hates it more when people advice her to just keep on praying, not that she did not belive in God, pero talaga people donot understand depression talaga.

sometimes when I get really lonely, i analyze myself if its depression na, how do you know ba if you're depressed? yun ba yugn kahit anong gawin mo hindi mo mapasaya ang sarili mo?

^I think that's one of the key symptoms, yung may anhedonia ka na, and constant feelings of hopelessness.

Recently I've come to the conclusion that I might have anxiety disorder instead of depression. Must go and see a therapist, I've been putting it off for too long.

We're on  the same boat sis.  I also think I suffer from anxiety disorder kasi I am constantly in "fear" of things  that are harmless including socializing.

This is so true :( I was diagnosed with postpartum depression 3 months ago and everyday, my husband would tell me to pray, think positive, be strong, etc etc and I resented him for it. I understand that he means well but it's so difficult to explain to him how hard I was trying to be better. Depression is not something na naoovercome ng prayers and positive thinking. It's a chemical imbalance in the brain that we have no control over. And just like that blogger you mentioned, ako mismo sa sarili I never imagine myself being depressed, I was the most optimistic person I know. It was surprising kasi I had depression when my daughter was already 7 months old, when I thought gamay ko na maging nanay, nung hindi na masyadong mahirap mag-alaga kasi kilala ko na yung anak ko. Considering also that I had a very easy pregnancy and labor/delivery wasn't bad either. Nung kakapanganak ko lang I had all the support I needed and sinasabi ko nga noon ako na yata ang pinaka relaxed na bagong panganak. But it still happened. I got depressed and it significantly affected my relationship with my child, my husband, and myself.

Also, this video, it speaks a lot. https://www.facebook.com/depressiononthemighty/videos/400671163613158/

^Sis Hush, I am very introvert now and I feel much alive.  Siguro because of the fact that I have accepted it recently.  Before, I used to think I am very weird kasi i need to constantly remind myself to "make friends" kahit mahirap.  To the point of pleasing others just for me NOT to feel guilty kasi ayaw ko magkaroon ng stigma na i have a very ugly personality.  Kaya in the end, I want everybody to like me and rejection is making me feel so depressed.

Another thing that made me depressed before is that I keep pushing myself to be friendly kahit na sobrang uncomfy ako.

Then last year, during one of the projects, I ate alone kasi my time was not the same as of my colleagues and I loved it.  Since then, I go to movies alone, eat lunch alone and I love it more than socializing.  I noticed that eating, traveling alone is so invigorating and refreshing.   I thought I found the best days of my life and I never felt lonely (except when i was just starting to eat alone... you will feel like a loser)

I have since then learned to move away from the "big groups" already and I feel very alive kasi this is what I really want for the longest time, to only be with those people who I am very comfortable with.

No pressure to "make friends".  And it cured my years long battle with depression about my personality.

I can now say "no" to friend's gatherings esp if I know I need to socialize with people whom I am not comfortable with or I am not close with the person without feeling guilty na masasabihan ako behind my back that I am not nice (I don't care anymore about what people will say).

I confided this introversion with my best friend and she's now pushing back kasi she used to tell me, makipag kaibigan ka, etc.  She now understands me and why I am not that very sociable.

I think, this fear of socializing and anxiety is brought about by people whom I don't like to interact with kasi its hard for me to mask anymore my feeling of uncomfortability.  Since I have learned to love myself and i have accepted who I am (an introvert), if I feel that if there's a NEED for hard socializing, I feel threatened kasi I need to make "small talks".

At this moment,  I'd rather have this fear of socializing, than depression due to rejections brought about by pleasing other people.

http://www.lifehack.org/285869/24-signs-youre-introvert-not-shy

My realization now is that depression might be caused by something that we haven't learned to accept yet in life.  Once we have accepted our shortcomings and who we really are, then there's no room for depression as we can now enjoy life to the fullest without any inhibitions.
