Hi sistets, joining...

Has anyone tried the graftobian setting spray? If meron, reviews naman po. I want to try this cause I can get in a store near my house. UD you have to preorder pa :(

@sakura_bloom Urban Decay Sprays are made by Skindinavia. I have "Dew Me" works well naman even though it's meant to give you a more dewy finish. Still serves it purpose.

^^graftobian setting spray is good. konting konti nga lang ang spray sis and malayo ang mist. DO NOT DIRECTLY SPRAY IT ON YOUR FACE, just spray it at about 8-10 inches then fan the mist towards your face. kasi if directly sa face, magbubuo-buo ang makeup mo, parang may mga patak patak na magfoform sa face. mabilis kasi talaga sya magset.  ;)

anyway i'm a wee bit disappointed with UD's all nighter. it doesn't set well.  :( but, i'll still give it another try.

tip for setting sprays, if you're pawisin, spray some after applying primer and before foundation para yung pawis sa gilid gilid lang ng face, hindi sa buong mukha.

^since it's water and you're just trying to freshen up, it's okay to let it dry on it's own, but i suggest you pat your face with wipes after spraying lalo na if naka-makeup ka, baka magkaroon ng spots (buo-buo) because of the water. if you're oily na it's best to use blotting paper pa din. for the pwis, wipe it with a soft towel or kleenex, then blot.  :)

Thank you for the review and tips sis baby_chichay. I will definitely buy graftobian's setting spray soon :)

I agree, you can let it dry on it's own if you are wearing a little to no makeup. But if you are wearing makeup, I advise you to blot nga. Since Evian is not a setting spray but just a refresher spray, it will not make your makeup stay put. Baka mas mabilis mas hulas makeup kasi, that's how I feel anyway :)

Water is not a setting spray! Evian is just spring water and it won't set your make-up. Setting sprays take away the over powdered look of make-up and makes it look more natural but it won't make your make-up last realistically as long as you want. They are usually made up of water and a small amount of emollient like oil or silicone so the powder, foundation, blush etch would merge as though it's your second skin. blah blah just skip that and use Finishing spray. Finishing sprays lasts longer and those contain alcohol. Fix+ is a setting spray and it's not good for oily faces. Graftobian makes good Finishing sprays. Skindinavia also has alcohol second on it's list of ingredients. I like Skindinavia for it makes my makeup last around 8hrs+++ Enkore make-up has a very informative video explain each types of sprays on youtube. If your face feels hot especially in summer then that's the time to use Evian, or Mac Energized water or Shu Uemura Deep sea water spray or whatever glorified water your money can afford. At the end it's just Water.

DIY setting spray:

1 part pure glycerin
3 parts water (not sure where to find that...)

For combination skin:  mix 1/4 glycerin to 3/4 water.

For oily skin:   try 1/5 glycerin to 4/5 water.

For dry skin:  mix 1/3 part glycerin to 2/3 parts water.

If you have redness in your skin you can add 1 part rose water, that will also give it a nice rose smell.  You may also use one part witch hazel or rubbing alcohol to make it less sticky.

Now I use FACE ATELIER Ultra Matt  setting spray. I have very oily skin and I'm loving its effect so far. Not super duper matte effect. Make up finishes with a glow and not flat. =)

I agree with other ladies here. Water is not a setting spray. It'll actually just break the barrier between your  skin & make up. In the end, maghuhulas ang mok ap ng mas mabilis.

Evian and avene are are both fresh water put in atomizers, I use these for freshening up the face. Like pag mainit ang weather and I 'd just retouch pagkatapos ko itong i-blot.

have tried cinema secret super sealer, made my already dry skin more pronounced.  recently tried evian after reading raves about it.  does a good job in easing tightness of my skin in an airconditioned environment and makes my silicone finishing powder look natural on me.

I use Ben Nye setting spray, but doesn't spray from it's bottle. I put some of the product sa airbrush machine para even ang coverage nya. Some setting spray kasi naglalabas ng droplets which make the makeup cake. It lasts talaga plus not that costly. ;-)
