Share ko na rin pala case ko, pamangkin ko kasi he will turn 6 this May, he has good set of teeth, inalagaan namin pero never pa siyang nagpacheck up sa dentist. Ang ganda ng feeling kasi ang daming pumupuna sa teeth ni pamangkin kasi maganda, pantay pantay kaya ang ganda niyang mag smile. Problem came this year, may whitish doon sa lower front teeth niya, ngipin na pala tumutubo, sabi namin ugain niya from time to time. Kaso hindi mauga, ayun lumabas na ang teeth niya paloob pero straight up, tapos ngayon pansin namin may bump sa kasunod, mukhang lumalabas na iyon isa pa. Kaya sabi namin this summer vacation ipacheck up na namin ngipin, kaso hanap kami dito sa rizal.

Hi!! My son had a dental check up at Little Ones Dental Clinic in SM Megamall. And like other posts, he needs to undergo Sedation daw for the treatment (tooth extraction, jacket and pasta).

I got a quotation from the Dentist there. For the Anaesthesiologist / Sedation alone, the price is Php 16,000.00. Then, additional Php 990.00 for each tooth sa pasta, Php 3,800.00 each tooth sa jacket.

Ask ko lang, ganito ba talaga ang price range sa Sedation alone? Php 16,000.00?

Or mahal lang kasi magrerequest pa sila ng Anaesthesiologist sa clinic nila, unlike pag sa dental clinic sa hospital na readily available na dun and mga Anaesthesiologist?

Before kasi, my son also had a Hearing test (BAER) sa Makati Med and they also required Sedation, pero we only paid around Php 3,000.00. Or possible na ibang Sedative kaya ang gagamitin?

most of the time kase, ayaw magpabrush ng teeth ang anak ko, as pilitan, to the point na sobrang iyak na.  I'm woried, baka masira agad teeth nya.

Just want to share my daughter's experience at Tooth Kingdom at The Block SM North. She's 2 years old and it's her first time to visit a dentist.  My daughter had cleaning and fluoride application under Dr. Junio. The whole procedure was smooth sailing.  Hindi umiyak si baby dahil ang galing mang-uto ni Dr. Junio. Total amount is P1,250 for cleaning and fluoride application.

Hi everyone! I just want to share our experience with you.  Our 3 yr. old daughter underwent dental rehabilitation sa Tooth Kingdom under Dr. Veronica Sison-Junio and Dr. Raymond Figuerres (anesthesiologist).

She had 5 root canal/crowning and 7 fillings, done under IV sedation.  I was watching the whole time. matiyaga sila and mabait sa bata.  The procedure lasted for 4 hours and wala namang naging problema.

For those curious about IV sedation, initially i-inject sa pwet gamot to make the child groggy then lalagyan na sa kamay nong IV line. Thereafter sa IV line na i-inject nung anesthesiologist yung gamot at about 5-10 minute intervals in small dosages, just to maintain yung almost asleep or shallow sleep state ng bata.  The whole time the anesthesiologist will monitor the breathing, heart rate and blood oxygen level of the patient.

I know na yung thought pa lang na kailangan ng anesthesiologist nakakatakot na for parents.  Pero while watching the procedure di ko ma-imagine how they will go about it ng hindi i-se-sedate yung toddler.  They will drill, grind, inject and like "tuck-in" the metal crown under the gums, and since toddler yung patient, lahat yon gagawin inside the child's very small mouth. The head should be still and the doctor's hands should be able to work precisely. Imagine paano kung  nagwawala yung bata, nakakatakot baka magka-aksidente pa. Really very scary for the kid.

After the procedure drowsy yung anak ko and nagsusuka pero the following day okay na siya.  Back to normal na.  I'm glad na-restore na yung teeth nya, they were really in bad shape before and chances are sasakit before magpalit ng permanent teeth.  Mahal yung procedure (PhP 40,000 total) pero iniisip ko na lang, kikitain rin naman ulit yung pera pero yung chance to save the teeth and prevent future infection di na maibabalik once missed.

Malamang IV sedation yung 16K, yung sa anak ko kasi 13K naman (Tooth Kingdom).  Usually yata pag maraming i-re-repair and will take hours.  Sa hearing test kasi yata is oral sedation lang kung hindi ako nagkakamali, which would cost 2K.  Nag-hearing test din kasi dati yung panganay ko.

My 3 year old daughter just had her first dentist visit yesterday at Tooth Kingdom, 5th flr The Block.  Dra. Claudette Raymundo was the one who handled her and everything went on smoothly! My daughter was so well behaved that her cleaning and fluoride service took only 5-10 mins to complete. Dra. Raymundo was so soft spoken and she was able to create a relaxing environment.  My only concern was that everything was so fast! Is that normal for these types of procedures for kids?

banini, naghina ako sa ginawa sa anak mo. those are milk teeth pa naman, bat di na lang tayo mag antay na mag fall out naturally and alagaan na ang permanent teeth?

can anyone recommend a pedia dentist at Cardinal? I looked around when we were there for a checkup last week but couldn't find one - well they didn't indicate if they were pedia dentists. I forgot to ask my pedia because my baby was crying due to her injection

@ynazki, my children also had Dr. Raymundo attend to them when they were young.  Yes, kapag walang problem, mabilis lang ang cleaning and fluoride application. It also helped that your child did not resist the dentist.

Ynazki and Marose - My 2year old also had her first cleaning and fluoride application kanina. Pero mejo nagtaka ko kase ang cleaning process parang ni-wipe lang yung teeth tapos fluoride na. Mga 5-10 minutes lang din. Ganon din ba ginawa sa kids nyo? Mejo namahalan kame tuloy sa 1k na fee eh ganon lang ginawa.
