And for all those who still think this is nothing but a network wars gimmick - try telling that to all those actual victims of rape ok? Maybe they too, will find it is ok to use rape as funny joke as long as it's "in the right context" or part of a network war.

Actually, mas nadisappoint ako kay Charo when I watched the video. Kasi si Vice Ganda, wala naman
siyang credibility sa akin. But Charo, being a top network executive, sobrang disappointing.

I enjoyed the article from the rappler, it was a very good read. But, IMO, the body of the article does not complement the poor closing. After listing out with such details of some rape and harassment cases, this all just boils down to freedom? I don’t think so. This issue touches on a lot of things, but between the two, it is more about censorship than it is about freedom.
 
If that joke was made only with his friends around, I suppose it will still be okay. I say this only because the so called joke will be then confined within the group. If someone mature enough notice the rudeness and the insensitivity of the joke, they can admonish Vice and it will end right there. But no, Vice made this joke in front a huge crowd and with a video that was made so easily accessible for the whole world to watch.
 
Rape will always be a sensitive topic and for a celebrity like Vice to use it as a tool for entertainment is just unacceptable. He said gang rape, as if being raped by only one person is not enough. I cannot even begin to imagine how those who went through that horrible experience felt upon hearing that joke.

Eto naman sa Inquirer. He’s no different than Vice when he kept calling Vice “the clown” in his article. It’s just like when some of the girltalkers here mentioned that it would have been better if Vice used Sharon instead of Jessica Soho in his joke. Pointless.
