Well atleast they know what to expect... kaya naging okay...

"joke nga eh" "comedy nga eh" does not apply here. hindi porke joke or hindi porke comic act, one should automatically accept it. in everything, there should be a line drawn. it's exactly why we call our society civilized.

and lastly, for all those people who are saying na these kinds of jokes are the "in" thing right now and that having enough decency and good morals is "out" already, shame on you.

We criticize our voters for voting idiots into public office and yet we allow our comedians to continue to "dumb down" the so-called masses with these vulgar jokes.

And more disturbing is the report that there were underaged teens or tweens in the audience. What messages are we teaching young Filipinos? "Ok lang yan pagtawanan ang mga na-rape na babae. Lalo ka kung matabang babae na mukhang lechon. Eh kung si Vice Ganda nga ginagawang joke, eh di ok lang."
Wow...such good life lessons to impart to the young right?! 

Like I said earlier, that is just a really disgusting attitude and I really hope other public figures learn from this fiasco. Not everything in life can be treated lightly and with such disrespect.

in some ways, americans are far more sensitive than filipinos. it seems like everyday, a new word gets injected into the encyclopedia of politically incorrect terms. in the US you get these segments in society that are quick to take offense.

Yes, I agree. They may be more liberated in many ways but they are aware of the topics that are very inappropriate for jokes and even for discussion. Kahit nga yung pagiging vocal nga lang ni Vice Ganda about his dislike kay Nancy Binay baka wala na syang trabaho eh. It is very wrong to discuss to other people kung sino ang iboboto and hindi mo iboboto.

if i were Jessica Soho, i would sue Vice Ganda. just to teach that Willi-Revillame-in-the-making a lesson.

and i don't agree with people na sinasabing OA ang reaction ng GMA sa ginawa ni Vice. i just find their reaction natural. ako nga na hindi kilala or ka-close ni Jessica na-hurt for her eh. pano pa kaya yung mga tao surrounding her? pano pa kaya yung mga friends niya?

common sense people. stop trying to liberate Vice from his kabastusan. coz srsly, umaabuso na siya. all thanks to people who are continuously buying his crass sense of humor.

boycott showtime, boycott ggv, esp sa mga young audience

My sister forbids her children to watch Showtime and GGV even before this JS issue. Ginagaya kasi
ng bunso nya yung mannerisms /gestures ni VG. Worst, ang maldita sumagot na ng bunso. Ang galing mambara. Yung lola (my bro-in law's mom)kasi favorite si VG.

I don't watch Showtime and GGV but boycotting the shows isn't the key here. Long before those shows, people have been making lait jokes na. They can get it anywhere talaga. Nasa tao rin talaga yan. Please teach your kids habang bata pa sila, pigilan manood if kaya pa pero wag rin kalimutang pangaralan.

I also didn't feel the sincerity of Vice. At ang reason niya ng hindi paghingi ng tawad sa rape victims ay hindi naman daw sila ang pinatatamaan. And he also said na di niya iibahin ang comedic style. Baka naman hindi niya KAYANG ibahin because it's the only form of comedy na alam niya since yun ang nakasanayan niya sa gay bar.

^sis may official statement na ang gma about this, i think nabasa ko sya last tuesday or wednesday. this rape joke in bubble gang happened a long time ago (not sure how long) but surely, before this vice ganda joke. a bubble gang audience called gma at that time that the rape joke was disturbing and gma issued a public apology. bakit kaya yun hinde naging big deal? simple lang, kasi gma lang ang involved. ngayon kasi, parang nagiging network war na.

actually, nagpapalaki lang sa issue mga netizens. i have heard vice ganda's public apology. sa showtime ba nya yun ginawa? nag-apologize sya na hinde rin kasi parang gusto nyang i-imply na hinde lang makuha ng iba na joke lang yun. meron naman talagang ganun di ba kaya nga hinde lahat nagpupunta sa mga comedy bars at hinde natutuwa sa joke nya. kung may karapatan syang mag-joke ng ganun, may karapatan ding ma-offend yung subject ng joke nya. at pareho silang may karapatan na panindigan ang mga nararamdaman nila.

This is what I feel, na it's not just about rape victms and rape jokes, may halong network war na. Kaya di ko rin ma-feel ang sincerity ng gma. But then again, networks are business  Naalala ko lang gumagawa talaga sila ng rape jokes sa gay bars, I went there once, kahit tawang-tawa ako sa ibang jokes nila, nung nagrape joke na sila natahimik ako. Ayoko na tuloy umulit, hehe.

Sa lahat ng article na nabasa ko about VG's joke, yang kay Monique Wilson pinakalike ko. Calm but makes perfect sense.

Sana lang matapos na ang issue na 'to since he said sorry na, nakakasawa na rin.

agree. Responsibilidad ng magulang ang pag disiplina sa anak. hindi ng kung sino man komedyante or artista. ika nga, anak mo yan, responsibilidad mo ang attitude at ugali nyan. so we cannot blame any one kung sumasagot ang bata.

I also don't watch showtime simply because i find it too boring. Bihira din ako manood ng GGV dahil hindi ko ma-take ang jokes ni Vice minsan. Ika nga kanya kanyang choice lang yan.

I do hope everyone learned their lesson hindi lang si Vice.
