siguro seryoso naman si vice sa paghingi ng sorry kay Ms. Jessica Soho hindi poket comedian ka kapag humingi ka ng tawad eh laging pabiro na, may other side din si vice na hindi natin alam AT may other side din naman si Ms. Jessica Soho na lalong hindi alam ni vice. For me,COMEDIAN po si Vice Ganda nagkataon lang na sa araneta sya nagconcert at hindi na sa mga comedy bar kaya nang nabanggit nya ang joke about kay Ms. Jessica eh nagreact ang madlang pipol. pero isipin natin kung sa maliit na bar lang kaya yun magiging ganyan kaya ang reaction natin?? oo mali si vice sa joke nya kasi respectable si Ms. Jessica maski ang dos hindi sya kinunsinte dun. madaming tumawa madaming nagalit, kanya kanyang opinyon ang bawat pilipino sa paghingi ng tawad ni VICE GANDA eh sana naman patawarin nyo na din sya dahil hindi naman tayo si Ms. Jessica

Bakit kasi si Jessica Soho pa., Bakit hindi si Sharon Cuneta or yung dumbo na kasama nya sa Showtime dba? Porket tahimik lang yung tao? Si SC kasi e demanda agad agad ang mapapala nya.

Sabi nila, a lot of people got the notion that Vice was making fun of the rape victims because Jessica, instead of admitting upfront that she was offended by Vice's joke, eh dinamay pa yung mga rape victims at sinabing ang mga rape victims ang naapektuhan sa sinabi ni Vice.

Sabi naman ng kaibigan ko na nakapanood ng buong concert ni Vice, umpisa pa lang ng concert sinabi na ni Vice na itong concert niya na ito eh kakaiba at nagpasintabi daw siya sa mga mahahagip ng kanyang mga jokes.  Sabi ng friend ko, wala siyang nakikitang issue dito sa video na naging viral.  It was taken way out of context daw.

Kung ibang plus-size personality nga kaya ang inokray ni Vice, hindi na gagawan ng issue?

^Kung hindi na-offend eh di hindi. Kung na-offend eh di may issue. Bottomline is that his bread and butter is to insult (not spoof) other people which I consider a dumb kind of comedy.

i think that if comics constantly thought about not offending people, they wouldn't be able to produce anything. these days, everyone is so touchy, everything is suddenly offensive. hell, just the other day i was watching a YouTube clip of an infant playing with a cat and in the comments section someone said the video is foul because the baby is a sadist.

having said that, since i haven't seen the clip/didn't watch the show, i don't think i'm qualified to judge. but i think we can all agree that if the joke was truly offensive, it would have been so regardless of who's on the receiving end of it, to the point that no one would suggest other "acceptable targets".  so i find it weird that some people were so worked up about what vice ganda said yet they throw insults of their own to random celebs (sharon cuneta, that "dumbo" assistant, etc.)

That's why i find it hypocritical that some would say the joke is very offensive and that JS should not be made a laughingstock since she' a very respected journalist, and then suggest why not make Sharon, kat de castro, dumbo the subject of the joke. We agree the joke was offensive so why suggest anyone to be the target of it? So kung hindi respected journalist okay lang na gawing katatawanan sa "bold star" joke?

i also dont like his apology. if your sorry just say sorry. no buts and no reasoning na. he made a mistake. period. he got that far in his career so i thought he is smart but clearly he lack good judgment in his acts.

And seriously - all those people citing American examples....How do you think Hilary Clinton or let's say Barbara Walters (a more appropriate example vis-a-vis Jessica Soho) would react if a comedian made a joke about them being gang raped?

i felt talaga na this incident more than the weight / rape issues, eh this is about the person involved..yes mali and foul pero yung reactions naman ng mga tao eh parang ang underlying theme eh because it was jessica soho

madaming offensive jokes na ang subject ay mga nobody (e.g. t*ngang salesladies - this one kasi me napanood ako na show niya) perowala naman nagcomment, pumuna or nagtanggol sa mga yun for me ang nangyayari na-highlight itong single incident kasi naging clash of personality na lang
