kopyahin ko nga itinerary mo bet ko rin mag 2 days sa Kyoto. Nov 27-Dec 2 naman kami. Pero di ko na siguro isama yung Kobe, di ko alam kung ano kasi meron dun. Kaso ang hotel namin Osaka so every night kami dun uuwi parang nakakapagod at sayang sa pasahe, kaso nabook ko na e. Ganyang ganyan din samin 6 days pero day 0 yung dating. Papaconsult ako sa PinoyExchange mas maraming active dun e.

Ayoko mag USJ kasi feeling ko sayang oras namin dun.

Magrent pala kami ng kimono haha feeling cosplay lang.

Hi!  Can anyone suggest a hotel/hostel/guesthouse in Kyoto for a family of 4?  Most of the hotels I see online kasi pang 2 tao lang.  My kids are 6 and 9 years old btw.

Ano-ano yung covered na tourist destinations ng 500 yen bus pass in Kyoto?

^lahat covered except Fushimi Inari Shrine coz it's too far you have to take the train na. To Arashiyama naman, you just have to pay extra coz malayo din than the usual tourist places. Everything else, within Kyoto city proper

Sissies ok lang ba na sa Osaka na lang kame mag stay rather than get a hotel room in kyoto?

Plan is 2 days in osaka and 2 1/2 days in kyoto. Ang mahal na kc ng mga hotel sa kyoto ngayon. TIA

^ sis kami Osaka lang the entire trip. sana ok nga yun I head madali naman magtravel by train. kaya near Osaka station pinili naming titirhan

Ano ba ok magdala na ng JPY or USD? san kaya ok bumili ng yen?

Binabalak ko rin magdala ng credit card, kaso di ko sure kung lugi ako sa conversion rate. Kaya pang backup ko lang sana. Yung Amex siguro sulit ko sa Duty Free shops, pero pag sa shopping malls di ko alam kung pano na.

^^ Exchange rate ng USD to Japan right now is $1 = 106 Yen. Kakapalit ko lang the other day. Make sure to bring your passport with you because there will be some "tax-free" places for you to buy stuff in Shinsaibashi/Namba/Umeda area. 8% off yun. Some light rains but weather is getting better/cooler than 2 weeks ago. Summer is officially over here! YEY!

Mga sis, I'm planning to shop sa Shinsaibashi. Hindi ba advisable to use credit cards? Medyo hesitant ako to bring lots of cash kasi.

^ How much cash are we talking about here? Why are you hesitating to bring cash? Japan is a very safe place. Even in restaurants... Even if you leave them tip, they'll run outside and chase you just to give you back the money.

^No, it's not a safety issue. I'm just not comfortable bringing a lot of cash anywhere, and in this particular case I have a long shopping list. So my concern is if it's more practical to shop using a card or cash or talo ako sa conversion or any other charges, etc.

^ My friend told me credit card is better. But in my case, I prefer to use cash para hindi mag-over-spending. Haha. Shinsaibashi has tons of shops and I'm sure you won't be able to stop swiping your card... Haha

Ang calculate ko kase is mas cheaper nga pag sa Osaka na lang kame mag stay. And our hotel is less than 25K for 6 days with breakfast buffet pa, hehe!! Unlike pag nag kyoto hotel pa ang pinaka lowest is 30K for 3 nights. And another 20K for 2 nights sa Osaka. Wag lang sana masyadong nakakapagod mag commute from Osaka to Kyoto kase we have a 5 year old kid in tow. Sa mga interested here's our hotel, its nice btw hindi mukang budget hotel well according sa photos and reviews, lol!!

How do you book for hotels when you've got kids?  Considered as adults ba or hindi?  I'm getting confused kasi.  My sons are 6 and 9 btw.  I don't know how strict Japan is for sneak-ins kasi.  Tia!

Hello mga sisses, pa check naman ng planned itinerary ko for our trip to Tokyo-Nikko-Tokyo-Osaka-Kyoto-Osaka-Nagoya.

Nikko and Kyoto are just day trips. Nagoya ang fly out namin so need talaga namin pumunta dun kahit di ko masyado trip. hehe.

Hi @byutijunkie! Makikisagot lang ako ha. Below 6 is free basta share sa bed 6Y or 7Y and up considered adult na and most hotel rooms na nakita ko sa booking.com and Agoda is maliliit. So pag 4 kayo better to get a family room na lang? Mukang strict sila kc per pax ang tax not per room,correct me if im wrong na lang.
Pero if you can get away with it why not, mas tipid.

Yung coe ba for japan visa, kailangan nakalagay yung salary?

Sis @u8mypinkcookies kakakuha lang ng hubby ko ng COE automatic nakalagay dun yung monthly salary mo, Christmas bonus, 13th month pay, dividend etc basta lahat ng natatangap mong pera from your company nakalagay na  dun

^definitely!  That's where Osaka Station is.  May JR Trains diyan.  The big malls are there too.  Daimaru and Yodobashi Camera are my fave.  The Osaka Station is very beautiful.  I loved Umeda more than the Dotonburi area. 

That's good to hear. Last time, we stayed in the Shinsaibashi area, right across Daimaru. But for my next trip, I booked a hotel in Umeda.
