When i participated in Brooks Run Happy 2, I've found a new friend who's really into running, she's 49 na po, and she uses Northface running shoes, oo sinabi nya its for trail running lang but yun talaga hiyangan nya, found too expensive for me coz her Northface trail running shoes costs Php 7k plus. i thought it's nike hindi pa, napakaganda nya.

She also told me, but to no offense sa mga Nike fans out there that Nike has something to be proud of, styles lang panalo na. Pangporma lang daw. go for reebok, new balance, northface, adidas but not nike.

IMHO, best gait analysis sa Runnr ATC. Dayuin nyo mga sis if you can. Deton ang name ng SA. He's a registered nurse and he also runs. Super tiyaga nya and super galing mag explain and he won't make you feel obligated to buy.

^Adidas, sis. Adi Zero Mana 6. Stability shoes sya. I-google mo na lang.

Sana makapagpa-gait analysis ka na soon so you know if you need neutral or stability running shoes.

^^Matingkad ang kulay nya sis kaya kitang kita kahit gabi pa ako tumakbo, hehe. It's also super light, similar to Nike Free Run. One factor din why I choose Adidas over Nike is because more affordable ang apparel ng Adidas, eh maarte ako, gusto ko terno lahat! Hahahaha. Ang babaw!

Thanks again. I run 3x a week and only use one pair of shoes.Believe it or not, I bought a pair of Mizuno Wave Creation and Adidas Supernova Sequence in a matter of a month, and sold them in less than a month too (for just 1k each) because hindi hiyang sa akin. Having said that, I am kind of scared to spend on a new pair kasi baka magkamali na naman ako.  So i am still in the process of researching. Haaay.

I'm not really sure if you will experience the same, but the best that I used so far is New Balance. Sulit siya sakn.

Ewan ko kung bakit, pero during gait analysis, sinusunod ko naman yung recommended shoes so i bought this new balance. hindi nahiyang so i tried to have my gait analyzed again and i bought mizuno. parang hindi pa rin hiyang cause i end up getting my used puma running shoes (e naka 4 10km run, plus no less than 5k/week run na this shoes since july 2011). I'm planning to get the same pair kaya lang nanghihinayang ako cause I haven't tried asics, inov8 and reebok cossfit shoes.

I use Asics Gel Kayano and I'm pretty happy with it. Before that I used Mizuno for 4 years.  I'm happy with both but I think mas happy ako sa Asics. But Mizuno is good din naman, sa akin lang siguro mas ok for me ang Asics.

I got myself an Asics Gel Cumulus sa Megatrade sale a while ago, if was choosing between that and the New Balance 1080. I have to use it though because of the rains. Bakit nga ba ang mahal ng Asics dito, parang di din siya sale if you compare to how much it costs in the US.

I used to have plantar fasciitis. Sadly, Adidas shoes only made it worse. I switched to ASICS, and yun na lang ang ginagamit ko for the last 5 years. I rotate Gel Kayano's and GT2000 series. I also only use ASICS pag nag crosstraining ako. Right now I'm rotating Gel TRX, Gel-260TR & Gel-170TR. I make sure na yung shoes that I wear may American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance. I also make sure na running shoes are only used for running and cross training shoes are only used for cross training. I also do plyometric exercises and interval training kasi eh.

I know medyo OC but this has greatly helped me with my overall fitness and yung foot problems ko.
