I was about to buy ASICS pero my feet is too wide. Siguro this coming May, the ASICS store opening in Greenbelt will carry shoes for wide feet.

May nakapag try na ba ng Newton?  Medyo madalas kong makita itong brand lately sa mga race ads.  Ok ba?  Confuse lang ako sa shoes na ito eh.

Newton is actually a popular running shoe here in Singapore, it's a shoe for midfoot or forefoot strikers, kasi iba iba ang running styles ng tao, yung iba heel muna ang unang tumatama sa ground, yun iba forefoot/ midfoot. Yung later ayun sa studies ay mas efficient, kakaiba ang feel ng Newton kasi yung soles niya medyo nakausli yung nasa gitna for maximum cushioning, so kahit heel striker ka, ico-correct ka ng shoes para maging forefoot/ midfoot striker.

maraming nagma-marathon at seasoned runners ganyan ang mga shoes, so kung talagang tatakbo ka lagi or for long distances you might as well get this one.

nagkamali nga ako at binili ko ang Asics gel foundation for overpronator na sobrang bigat di kasi pede sa akin ang Kayano kasi ang neutral [textspeak!] yun,yung stability racer(for overpronator) ng Newton super gaan. medyo mahal nga [textspeak!] siya.

Me too, Asics mga sisses!  I have Gel-1140 for my over-pronation.  They just change the number every year.  Most of us are over-pronation, bihira lang ang hindi.  So proud of you mga sisses who take fitness seriously.

hi sis, for overpronator- Asis Gel Foundation or Gel Evolution lang po ang nagca-cater sa ating overpronators. i'm using gel foundation, although talagang naco-correct nya gait ko, medyo mabigat nga [textspeak!] siya.

^no e. i find asics shoes heavy. or maybe i just always end up checking out the wrong pair. new balance is tama lang naman. mizuno also. i currently have a mizuno pair. i might retire it this year, then get a new balance. i actually wanna retire my mizuno na, just to get a new pair of new balance! but patience, my mizunos hasn't had enough mileage yet. sayang naman.

I would suggest to you the K-Swiss Ariake. I have to say that the grip on the shoe was excellent but after a while it got a little sandy and you would have to frequently clean them off with your hand.

i want to buy a new running shoes, mejo nakakaramdam na kc ako ng sakit sa mga legs ko huhu, wrong running shoes kc ang nabili ko and ala pa ako idea about the gait analysis huhu... i still don't know kng ano brand ng shoes though i know i'm flat foot and overpronator but still i want to try magpa-gait analysis just to be sure... i'll try later to go sa Secondwind at Ortigas...

Anyone using Nike Vomero +5?

I bought it yesterday for 6.5k, i specifically asked the salesperson to give me a running shoes for overpronated feet, coz i read here and on the internet that its for flat-footed runners.

She gave me that. Tapos ngayon, i searched it on the internet. Yay! For underpronators daw yun. Huhuhuhu!!!!!

Kainis!!!!!!!!!!!! Pwede ko kaya papalitan???

im a nike fan for running shoes, yung adidas ko nhhrapan ako magrun.. feeling ko may pabigat paa ko with nike, ok naman, i am currently using lunarlite but im planning to get lunar glide .. birthday present for myself .... :-)

every foot reacts differently to shoes. kaya better to have your foot type checked so you can get the shoes fitted for you

I suggest Secondwind shop at QC and Ortigas. Runnr in BHS also offers the gait analysis.

My option 1 is Nike Lunarfly+
still have to find a store that has size 7.5

My option 2 is Nike Zoom Fly Sister One
- training shoes ito mostly for workout/dancing. pwede ba itong pang pang-running?  super lightweight and nipis nya, parang sneakers lang ang dating.
- may nakita na akong size ko.
