Meron din sis pero di gaanong marami.  Sa Bali mas marami rami pang tiangge, pati Duty Free parang mas marami sa Bali side.  Sa Jakarta kasi parang wala ako masyadong nakita.  Yung Lacoste na nakita ko doon ay more or less 50% lower sa price natin.  Yung bag na P4500 parang lumabas nun na P2500 or 3k ko lang sya nakuha or baka kasi naka-sale sila noon.  Try mo lang sis now, may mga sale pa rin siguro kasi pa-Christmas na.  Pag hindi sale ng lacoste, still cheaper pa rin ng around 10%  nung nag compare ako.  Check mo na lang din sis pero dapat sa mall ka talaga bibili para original talaga.  Sa Batam kasi meron doon mga fake.

Ang sigurado akong mura talaga doon ay yung mga medicines nila at beauty products din.  Mas mura kasi doon ang mga chemicals na ginagamit sa gamot at sa mga beauty products.

Mukha lang expensive kasi Rupiah na hundred thousands ang bilihan hahhaha.ang hirap mag-convert.Dala kayo calcu or ready lagi ang cel nyo sa conversion kasi nakakalula yung Rupiah.

Tip: tanggalin mo yung 2 zero sa dulo, divide mo sa 2 (100,000 = 1,000/2 = P500). P1 is around Rp200. Medyo mataas lang value ng Peso ngayon, mga 205. 

Madami dami na din akong nabisita. Semarang, Medan (Samosir Island, Lake Toba), Kudus, Pekalongan, Jogjakarta, Bali, Bandung, Ancol, Bogor. Nagwowork kasi ako dito. 

Sana makatulong ang mga tips na ito:
1. Maanghang ang pagkain, pag sinabi na medyo lang, maanghang na talaga yun.
2. Pag kumain ka sa fastfood (kfc, mcdo, etc), usually walang spoon and fork. Ask na lang kayo ng "garpu" (fork) at "sandok" (spoon).
3. Kung sa Jakarta at Bali, medyo makakasurvive ang inggles, sa ibang lugar, mahirap. So magbaon ng konting Bahasa Indonesia. Kahit sa paghaggle, makakatulong yon pag nakikita nilang nakakatawa ka magBahasa. 
4. Sabi impolite daw sa kanila pag ang ipinangaabot mo e kaliwang kamay, may nanita na sa akin non. Dapat kanan. 
5. Magingat sa pagsabi ng mabaho. Dahil "bau" ang katumbas na salita sa kanila non. Magkatunog so maiintindihan nila. "Bantot" pede siguro.
6. Kung first time sa Jakarta, please magBlue Bird taxi. or Gamya. Wag magulat sa metro, mabilis takbo.

So far yan pa lang naisip ko, sana makatulong kahit papaano. Sana magenjoy kayo dito.

^yes sis very very helpful mga tips mo! I took note of them na!!! We'll be in Jakarta next week kasi. Pasuggest naman po ng itinerary for 4 days. 4 lang po kami pupunta.

I'm choosing between these hotels din:
Aryaduta Semanggi Hotel (dahil sa 2BR rooms nila)
Aston Marina (2BR rooms din sila)
Ibis Kemayoran, Ibis Mangga Dua, Ibis Arcadia.

Sisses, saan located these hotels? Ano magkakatabi dito? What do you recommend for 1st time travellers in Jakarta? Thanks so much sisses! God bless and lets enjoy our trips!

My hubby is Indo-Chinese (Chinese born and raised in Indo) we go to Indo once or twice a year so far I have only been to Jakarta and Medan. It's true traffic is really bad I only like Jkt for the malls specially when it's on sale for cheap finds Mangga Dua is the place to go to. If you want to try different Indonesian dishes you may try Garuda and Saribundo ang style nila they would serve as many different foods in your table and you will only pay kung ano yung kinain mo. For batiks and other Indonesian Items you may go to Sarinah it's like Kultura of SM.

Medan is known for food both Indonesian and Indo-chinese dishes.

If for traveling purpose i wouldnt recommend Indonesia lol I don't find anything fancy about it, I just learn to love the country because it's practically my second home now

Hehe, ako din. Kaso nainlove ako sa Indonesia pala.  So baka magstay ako ng matagal.

Yung mga hotels na nabanggit mo, di ko lang sure, pero malapit ata sa China town ang mga yon, twice pa lang ako nakapunta dun, para kumain. Malapit lapit din siya sa Mangga Dua Mall, para siyang Divisoria Mall(?). Once pa lang ako nakapunta don.  Ano ba IT niyo? Medyo matagal din yung 4 days ha.

Correct sis, nothing fancy but the culture is great!  That's make Indonesia nice because of their rich culture.

^^sis we booked nalang sa Ibis Arcadia hotel. Maganda kasi location nito among other Ibis hotels in Jakarta and its not expensive Are you familiar with that hotel sis?

Ito nga pala planned itinerary ko. I know ang haba ng 4 days sa Jakarta hehe:
Late arrival day 1
Day 2: Museum, Natl Monument, Grand & Plaza Indonesia malls, ManggaDua
Day 3: grand Catholic Church & biggest mosque & Monas, Senayan malls
Day 4: Bandung day tour (crater, strawberry field, cihampelas walk)
Day 5: last minute shopping, flight back 2pm

Possible ba ito sis? We are not into shopping naman so kahit madami ako malls na nilagay, baka papasok lang kami and probably eat but won't roam around and shop talaga

About Bandung, may nag-o-offer ba ng city tour sa Jakarta? How much kaya yun? If not, madali lang ba DIY tour dun? I read may train/FX going there. Pag andun na kami, is it easy to go around na ba and see the crater, strawberry field, cihampelas walk?

Yung Nacol po, how much enrance dun sa theme park nila? Thanks sis

^sorry di ko alam e. hehe. Pero nasa Central Jakarta naman ata yan, so ideal yung location.

Sa Bandung, ang alam ko sa Soekarno Hatta airport may nagooffer ng trip sa Bandung. Pero magingat na lang kayo.  di lang ako sure. Try niyo tanungin yung hotel niyo since day 4 pa naman yung Bandung trip niyo. Yung 1st trip ko kasi dun, driver lang ni-hire namin. Pero may mga shuttle naman papunta don (Rp70K, around Php350).

Sa Bogor di niyo ba balak pumunta? Andun yung Taman Safari nila, medyo kasing layo din siya ng Bandung, mga 2 - 3 oras biyahe. Parang mas okay yung sa gabi. Okay yung klima parang Tagaytay din. Mainit kasi sa Jakarta most of the time.

Yung theme park, more or less Rp100K (Php500) ata. Madami dami ding park dun. Pero yung Dufan pa lang napuntahan ko.

^ay dear, sa itsura nung mall na yun parang walang original na gamit. Except siguro sa gadgets like BB, iphone, etc. Pero kung clothes, shoes, make-ups, parang kaduda-duda. Pero ang mga big malls nila dito, karamihan or halos lahat ng mga napuntahan ko, high-end naman. Yung mga hindi ko nakikita sa Pinas, meron sila dito. Or jologs na mall lang talaga pinupuntahan ko dyan. hehe. Pero kung mas mura, yan ang hindi ko alam.  Pero yung mga make-ups at beauty products, parang mas mura nga dito.

Jakarta did not catch my fancy...the only things I liked were (1) the buffet at Shangrila (2) Plaza Indonesia....period! I went around MONAS & National Museum just to take in some "local" tourist attractions but the time I visited, it was election season so there were so many rallies on the streets and all...reminded me a lot of Manila, actually, or worse...even Soekarno-Hatta, yikes, big but looks old na...anyway, in my book, I will visit a place at least once in my life para lang makita kung ano meron...that's it...

Natawa naman ako sa info re term for body odor...I'm not well-versed in Bahasa so thanks for the info pala...napansin ko rin kasi ang dami nga dun na ganun...whew...

^^thanks sis laey for the info. as mentioned by sis reamae, mas mura daw yung ibang branded clothes jan. so, i might visit mangga dua for good bargains and maybe the bigger malls na din for branded clothes. thanks again!

i don't know yet kung saan hotel namin so siguro as soon as i confirm our accommodation, i'll post another comment here to check kung anong mall malapit dun. i barely have time to go around kasi talaga eh so dapat alam ko na san pupunta before hand.

Normally they have sale pag March and pag Muslim feast celebration not sure if July ba yun, but every March pag punta namin may mga Sale.. Yung mga gadgets specifically cellphones normally mas mura sa Indo compared sa Philippines pati mga TV mura din lalo na yung LG since its manufactured in Indo. As for perfumes and cosmetics my husband told me that most Indonesians ( both local and Chinese) normally buys in Singapore since malapit lang naman and mas mura.

Plaza Senayan, Senayan City, T.A Mall and Plaza Indonesia (not sure basta fairytale themed yung mall ) were amongst the nice malls that ive been too. Yung iba nga feeling ko mas maganda pa compared to malls here and they have several LV stores din and maraming branded stores na meron dun na wala dito, they have Coach too

Be careful lang mga sis I had an experience kasi in Senayan City Mall if im not mistaken. Thhe SA was giving me a certain discount for a perfume on the condition na di dadaan sa cashier sa kanya daw ako magbabayad kasi may employee discount daw siya etc etc baka ending nun lumabas na nagshoplift ako since walang resibo ni walang plastic and tinatanggal nya pa yung tag price sa box.

naintriga naman ako sa Bali after watching Eat,Pray,Love! tee hee!. i searched it in Travel Blog, and i want to go there someday. parang the place is so rich in culture.

What about Batam? dun ko kasi plan na magsidetrip from Singapore.
Ok kaya kung one day lang ako dun? maghapon lang? since around 45mins ferry ride lang pala siya from SG.
baka magmall hopping na lang ako ako dito.
