i used to work sa sg and i was wondering if pwede pa kayo ulit ako magwork sa sg..ginawa ko kasi kapalpalkan nag AWOL ako tapos hindi ko sinurrender yung spass ko.pwede pa kayo ako makabalik at magwork ulit?

i've been reading this thread for a while now. i'm just wondering, has anyone here been hired via job search sites while applying in the philippines? i got this impression kasi na puro PR/Singaporeans lang ihhire nila. if you're not either, parang dapat you go to SG talaga and apply. i hope someone could share his/her experience if they deviated from this normal way of getting a job in SG and succeeded in getting one.

sa mga nagbabalak maghanap ng work sa sg just apply 1st online basta apply lang ng apply. actually hindi pa na lilift up yung pag-aapply ng work dito ng mga foreigners.....alam nyo naman last year super hirap maghanap dito ng work at lahat ng application eh na dedeny. Hope this year will be a good one for all of us.

ako i was hired online lang pero that was 4 years ago pa, ngayon kasi the economy is not that good nga so mostly PR and singaporeans na lang ang preferred nila.  pero for IT jobs madami pa din agencies dito ang nagpupunta sa manila to look for consultants hiring na kasi ulit ang IT although the package is not that good na compared before.

^^^ sis, ako nag apply online lang. pero dami, hundreds ang sinend out kong resumes.  I did this while having a job in Manila.  So puyat puyat syempre, I can only send resumes after office.  Eventually, sinwerte din at natanggap ako.  prayers lang at tyaga.

^wow i'm thrilled to hear this. it's possible pala kahit from manila mag-apply my friend kasi went to SG talaga to look for a job. i can do the same naman, pero syempre if i can try applying while in manila, that's ideal

^ oo naman. kasi for me, mahirap naman na mawalan ako ng work. I need my job.  So cannot give it up for something na hindi sure. 

Nung tinanggap ko ang offer ng SG company, I still took a risk, kasi kelangan ko magresign na agad sa current company ko para umandar na yung 30-day notice.  So tinanggap ko offer sa SG, nagresign sa Pinas, at in-apply ng SG company ang work permit ko - in that order.  But this is a risk by itself kasi may chance na hindi ma approve ang SG work permit pero nakapagfile nako ng resignation. Sa awa ng Dyos naman, wala namang aberya.

kami naman referral from good friends. 2nd job ko online application pero it was easier kasi I'm already here.

^^wow! this must be the cue i'm waiting for.  Balak ko rin kasi  magapply sa sg.  I already surfed for openings, send ko na lang resume ko.  kaso naisip ko na baka nga gusto ng mga employers and agencies na face to face interview agad eh wala naman ako sa sg.  Ayoko rin naman punta don just for an interview then di naman sigurado outcome.  I simply do not have the budget for that. 

Marami nga ang may indication na for Singaporeans and PRs only.  Pero may nakita pa rin naman ako na walang ganon.  so i guess ok lang kahit di ka PR.

I'll send my resume na and hopefully matawagan din ako.  and of course sana matanggap din.  Thanks for sharing your stories mga sis.

Ako I sent a lot of resumes online.  Then nag resign ako from work coz I’m really bent on staying in SG. Big risk talaga, pero I had a back up plan den in case di mag work. I applied for EPEC para at least I can stay for a year kahit wala agad makuhang work. I had several interview schedules na before I left the Philippines, kaya pagdating ko SG, the next day, puro interviews na yung pinuntahan ko.  Then may mga nag-offer naman agad, thank God. So namili nalang ako.  Tapos, saka palang pinrocess yung EP ko.  Hubby ko got his job also through online application.  His boss came to the Philippines to interview him, and ayun, sinwerte naman.  Actually nauna sya sakin, sumunod ako after 5 months. =)

So ang masasabi ko lang is go lang ng go sa pag-aapply online! Malay nyo, swertehin.  Super tyaga lang talaga dapat sa pagsusubmit. Kasi di lahat ng sinubmitan mo eh makakatanggap ka ng reply.  Isipin mo na mga 10% ang chances, so if you want to get 10 replies, you need to send out at least 100 resumes. Ganun.   Ako nun minimum of at least 10 resumes/day ang sinesend out ko.  Goodluck!!!

kapag hindi pa kayo napapadpad dito, puede din naman kayo pumunta ng SG without resigning.  I mean why not spend 1-2 weeks muna dito for tour at mag attempt din mag apply. Kung may makuhang work, ok. Kung wala, ok lang din at least nakita ninyo ang surroundings, how the people are etc. 

before working here, I came here narin before as a tourist para mamasyal.  tingin tingin. Tapos tumingin ng newspaper para sa openings. May tinawagan akong agency pero humihingi ng bayad, hindi ko pinatos.  Uwi ako, happy parin kasi ang primary motivation ko in coming here eh mamasyal lang naman. Pero at least I got to see the people and the surroundings.
